When asked almost all of them replied that they came to India in search of peace and spirituality. Keep visiting!

We love India because (1) across all their cultures they have a very high degree of pluralism, tolerance of "the other", and innately democratic, so we have shared core values. (2) because of India having countless fascinating cultures and millennia-old histories and diversity without limit. also (3) in exile/diaspora context it is the only country in the world that Jews were not massacred or victims of genocide. (4) superficial reasons like some Israelis only want to go smoke very good hashish high up a mountain and meditate. And/or party & dance with hippies in Goa. And after 3 years in the army, it's understandable to want to do this. Also (5) interests like Indian philosophies, literature, art, *Indian classical music*, interesting languages, ancient practices of sustainable living, and generally to meet other wonderful amazing people.

Israeli patriotism is similar to the American one where they believe in their country's exceptionalism. Given that they believe Israel is the best country in the world they are not interested in other countries. It's even that, even if Israel was not 'the best' at one aspect they would just try to improve that aspect until it's extremely good.
It is also about not using your money abroad, but rather go on vacations inside Israel, and supporting the local tourism.
It's kind of like how some Americans (especially the conservatives) don't want to travel because they say that there's no point in leaving America, which they see as the best country in the world.
