Best ever! Nothing missed! I love the fact that he played the lead backing part on those strings instead of the E and A strings like in the official sheet music. It so much more like the live version.
Thank you for uploading this! I'm currently on my 7th day of teaching myself bass guitar (about 2 hours of practice in total) and I wanted to practice on a real song so I played the first two bars until my fingers started to hurt. This is my first time playing a stringed instrument and it's been about 11 years since I picked up my old woodwind, so it's exciting to be back in the game. This time I'm going to try to pour my heart into it and accomplish what I couldn't before.
I only practiced this three times since my first post, but I'm already able to play until 1:28 at half speed. A lot of fun! My index finger's nail keeps hitting the string and produces a weird sound. The nail is short but it still hits. If I play with my middle and ring finger instead it sounds better, but I'd prefer to use my index finger rather than ring finger. Hmm. I'll figure this out eventually.
I've mostly memorized the notes up to 2:47 now. I haven't played all the way through yet since I'm still a bit slow at parts. I was able to play until 1:28 (with some mistakes) at 0.75x, and could somewhat keep up at normal speed until 1:28, but with a lot more mistakes. Going well I'd say! Just confused on how I can strum D5 to E0 at 1:28. Other than that I think I understand.
Is there a name for this kind of accentuation of the eights notes as done here in the chorus: one staccato, one a little longer? You hear that quite often.
This is the most accurate cover of Prayer I have watched so far. Especially after the solo where the song transitions. Fantastic.

This guy does it better
Nice! Sometimes you need those steady and calm eighth notes in your life xD
I'm learning this song on the bass right now, so it's good to see the notes I'm learning played along with the song itself.
Yes. When I was learning to play way back in the early 80's, I learned everything by ear. It's so much easier to learn now.
@@fivestring65ify man I don't have instruments in here but wanting to learn here

It's so nice to listen to the rhythm and perfect beat. I can't get enough!
Real smooth, man! Nice work!

I just played to 3:20 at 0.75x speed (accidentally left it that high so I made quite a few mistakes). I'm sure I could do even better at 0.5x speed.
Dont call it guitarr, its a BASS

Nice job. I'd love to see someone actually sit down and listen then play Cinderella's "Trough the Rain".
lovely
fantastic alec such!!!
Simplesmente Perfeito muito bom...
It’s crazy how important but inconspicuous it is in a song with lots of other instruments
Excelente.

It's galloping bass. I don't think it fits in this song, but it's played well
I know that I am a little late to the ball game here. Great video and very helpful. What strings did you have on your bass (round, flats, nickel)?
He’s got flats the purple at the tops a give away
perfect
thanks !
I’ve played the guitar for 3 years, do you guys think I can play this song in the bass?
Bon Jovi
Bro, why are you playing staccato notes? Tablature doesn't show any nor is it in the actual song. You need a punch.
Tell you what, why don’t you make a bass cover and upload it maybe you can show the class how it’s “done”
out of tune....
So it just isn't me, it sounds off.
