Understand that God commanded us not to sin but yet there are many in this world who foolishly believe that they can never stop sinning. So just because someone claims to believe in Jesus it certainly does not make that person a Christian nor does it even make them a true believer since even demons also believe. Since the vast majority of believers clearly lack knowledge of scripture their own words are revealing just how lost and deceived they certainly are. There is no doubt that most are not being guided by the Holy Spirit and I will prove as much below.
“Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.”
I John 3:4 NKJV
“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”
Matthew 7:23 NKJV
Realize that if you were truly living by the Holy Spirit then it would be impossible for you to sin since you would now be guided by the Spirit of God who is Holy and pure and who cannot sin. Since you can no longer sin then it would be impossible for you to ever get sick since scripture relates that sickness only comes from sin and the devil. To prove my point here is just one scripture that relates how it is possible to stop sinning and that sin will then bring sickness into our lives.
“But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place. Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”
John 5:13-14 NKJV
Jesus would have never instructed the man that He had healed to sin no more if it were impossible for the man to stop sinning. In Deuteronomy 28 God related His blessings for those who would obey Him and the curses that will occur on anyone who chooses to live in sin and disobedience. Sickness is definitely listed as a curse and it clearly reveals that you are a sinner who lacks knowledge of scripture since you are disobeying God.
“If you do not carefully observe all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name, THE Lord YOUR GOD, then the LORD will bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues-great and prolonged plagues-and serious and prolonged sicknesses. Moreover He will bring back on you all the diseases of Egypt, of which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you. Also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in this Book of the Law, will the LORD bring upon you until you are destroyed.”
Deuteronomy 28:58-61 NKJV
Now God made it very clear that He would remove sickness and disease from anyone who did not sin and who would obey what He commanded in scripture. This is why the devil can no longer put his afflictions on anyone who is truly born of God because they are now someone who can no longer sin since they are being guided by God’s Holy Spirit.
“And said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.”

“So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.”

“And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.”

“We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.”

Very very very few of us are truly being guided by the Holy Spirit and if you are then you are probably rejoicing since you now realize that it is possible to overcome your sins and your afflictions in this evil fallen world. And I can certainly testify that God’s word is true since I am someone who can no longer sin nor can I ever get sick ever again since I have been sanctified in truth by God’s Holy Spirit.
“HE WHO SINS IS OF THE DEVIL, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. WHOEVER HAS BEEN BORN OF GOD DOES NOT SIN, for His seed remains in him; AND HE CANNOT SIN, because he has been born of God.”
I John 3:8-9 NKJV
Scripture clearly relates that anyone who sins belongs to the devil and whoever is born of God does not sin and cannot sin. So if you cannot comprehend what I just revealed then you are just one of the many who are completely lost and deceived in your beliefs and you certainly are not being guided by God’s Holy Spirit. REALIZE THAT THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE SCRIPTURE THAT EVER RELATES THAT A SINNER BELONGS TO GOD OR THAT A SINNER IS A CHILD OF GOD so anyone who continues to sin is certainly someone who is lost and deceived. This fallen world is filled with millions of deceived believers who certainly are no different then the Pharisees and the Sadducees and this is why scripture relates that only a remnant will be saved.
“And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will be saved,”

If people would say a prayer for God's healing to work within me in Jesus' name I'd be grateful. With a problem coming to light recently I've got the option of surgery but I'm trusting the Lord to perform His special 'bypass' work! Thank you and God bless you.

I've never heard exactly how he went about his being healed, but I knew it was God who healed him.
It's amazing at just how simple it was for him... He read the Bible to understand it in the literal, not figuratively and put his faith in God's word.
A little faith is an amazing power... Move mountains, walk on water, and be healed by the God who created everything!
A great deal of the Bible IS figurative, taking everything literally will not give the correct understanding.

I love, love, love, how through wanting to know how the Word Faith was translated in Hebrew, I found it to be "TRUST", which changed my life.

It sounds like you had an equally profound moment of clarity that changed your life with your one word too.
GOD without limits!
I was healed shortly before making that post and all because I had to learn actual faith and to stop limiting God like so many of us do.
When sick, I would always ask God for help in what I would call an "empty prayer" because I was too attached to the status quo... the thought that "doctors get you better in a physical world." A lot of people have this one hang up and it's a massive hurdle to get your mind around.
Until I began to realize that I was limiting God without realizing it, I wasn't getting any better. Only when I applied everything about faith did any significant changes begin and it wasn't short because I would lose focus. I suppose it was a trial for me and it made my faith stronger before it was over.
Sometimes I feel like there is no encouragement around me but here on the comments of DPM sometimes I find a nice comment meant just for me. I appreciate it guys, praise the Lord.

You need to ask for a rhema word from God. Isaiah 55:11 says God's word will not return back to him empty.
Here is a man preaching the word of God, identifying that, the Mighty Farther of creation used his spoken word to heal. But take him, and most of his audience to John 1:1- 14 and the spoken word of the the Father has been turned into Someone else. That spoken became flesh because the the Father spoken word through the man Jesus. Even Jesus said so so many time. Why don't you here what he is saying?
Because God healed him though the reading of God’s word in the Bible. He says so in his testimony. He was healed in a few months by reading God’s word several times a day (keeping them in the midst of his heart; always looking at them). Proverbs 4:20-22 - God’s words will bring life and health (medicine) to our whole physical body. He read all of God’s word, reasoned with it, and enjoyed it. This is Mr. Prince’s testimony. He’s a former philosophy professor and Greek expert from Cambridge who got saved as an adult while in the British Army. He was laid up for a year in hospital with an incurable disease and decided to read the Bible because he never had read it. Through reading the Bible, he got saved, then healed! God is good! And God is not dead; He still speaks to us, through His Word; the word is alive! God Bless your day, sir!
I'm a recovering Christian. I'm listening to this man and wonder why so many prayers never get answered. I've never seen God heal a single person from their illness. When I was in high school I worked in a grocery store that had a small meat department that sold cold cuts. I accidentally sliced the tip of my index finger off. I was taken to the hospital and my finger was sown back on but to this day it's still deformed. The nail doesn't grow right allowing all sorts of dirt to get under it constantly. I still have no feeling in the tip of that finger yet my mother swears that God healed my finger. The God who raised people from the dead, parted the red sea, fed 5,000 with 5 fish and 5 loaves of bread, turned water into wine. This is the best your God can do with my finger?!?!?!?? In the words of Judge Judy, "BOLOGNA!!!!"

God loves you. Read the word daily. Trust and believe. The devil put cancer on me twice, but the Lord delivered me out of his hand twice. That was back in 1990 and 2008. God is good. Keep taking it to the cross. He said knock and it will be opened, seek and you will find it, ask and it will be given. He did not tell you how many times to knock, seek and find. Just keep it up believing his word. It will happen. The cross made it possible.

Sometimes God gives the healing and sometimes He doesn't brother. Prayer is a request not a command, but ultimately we are told that all things work together for good of them that love God. God's ultimate purpose is not much about the physical body but the salvation of the soul. I lost my dad 2 months back to covid and till his last breath I was on my knees. But he went to be with the Lord, even I can say God inspite of following you is this what you allow to happen and it has left me as an orphan. However, I choose to believe in God's goodness and faithfulness that He is a good Father. My dad has eternal life cause of Christ and it brings immense peace to me.

In Deuteronomy 28 God related His blessings for those who would obey Him and the curses that will occur on anyone who chooses to live in sin and disobedience. Sickness is definitely listed as a curse and it clearly reveals that you are a sinner who lacks knowledge of scripture since you are disobeying God.
“If you do not carefully observe all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name, THE Lord YOUR GOD, then the LORD will bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues-great and prolonged plagues-and serious and prolonged sicknesses. Moreover He will bring back on you all the diseases of Egypt, of which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you. Also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in this Book of the Law, will the LORD bring upon you until you are destroyed.”

Now God made it very clear that He would remove sickness and disease from anyone who did not sin and who would obey what He commanded in scripture. This is why the devil can no longer put his afflictions on anyone who is truly born of God because they are now someone who can no longer sin since they are being guided by God’s Holy Spirit.
“And said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.”

Very very very few of us are truly being guided by the Holy Spirit and if you are then you are probably rejoicing since you now realize that it is possible to overcome your sins and your afflictions in this evil fallen world. And I can certainly testify that God’s word is true since I am someone who can no longer sin nor can I ever get sick ever again since I have been sanctified in truth by God’s Holy Spirit.
“HE WHO SINS IS OF THE DEVIL, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. WHOEVER HAS BEEN BORN OF GOD DOES NOT SIN, for His seed remains in him; AND HE CANNOT SIN, because he has been born of God.”

Scripture clearly relates that anyone who sins belongs to the devil and whoever is born of God does not sin and cannot sin. So if you cannot comprehend what I just revealed then you are just one of the many who are completely lost and deceived in your beliefs and you certainly are not being guided by God’s Holy Spirit. REALIZE THAT THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE SCRIPTURE THAT EVER RELATES THAT A SINNER BELONGS TO GOD OR THAT A SINNER IS A CHILD OF GOD so anyone who continues to sin is certainly someone who is lost and deceived. This fallen world is filled with millions of deceived believers who certainly are no different then the Pharisees and the Sadducees and this is why scripture relates that only a remnant will be saved.
“And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will be saved,”

Still trying to sell that fantasy, you are the one who thinks you are sinless which is ridiculous. Those Scriptures do NOT APPLY to people today. First century Christians and ancient Israelites are who was being referred to. First century Christians were all of the 144,000, these are the ones who truly are "born of God" not you.

@@lilyava6054 I'm not a newly saved anything, 50 years of studying the Bible and I'm still not "saved". Why? Because as I said, only the "elect" are guaranteed salvation, no one else can say they are saved since God is the judge of us, we can't just decide who is "saved".

If He wouldn't heal Paul of his affliction, why should we think He will heal us? The physical healing will take place in the 1,000 year Kingdom, not before.
Well some will be healed through grace and compassion like the one with leprosy others will be healed as a testimony for the unbelievers and Paul’s case to empower Paul so he would rely on Gods strength by faith rather than his own and because of that he gained insight which he explains why he wasn’t healed.

But anyway you can look up people testimonies on UA-cam. If someone says they were healed by Jesus after a car accident then believe it so you’ll have the faith to be healed yourself. And as your faith grows you just might become someone who heals people yourself, but that requires unwavering faith.
