This is a mechanically driven speaker (literally). Unusual design but applicable. The downside are the joints witch can eazily worn out. The technollogy is called direct servo speakers, if im not mistaken. Usually reserved for heavy duty low frequency driver.

I would've never have thought that by sending an amplified analog audio signal through a hard drive actuator arm to a speaker you could actually get pretty decent sound. I'm guessing it's possible because the arm is made for precision movement. I'd love to see/hear what this sounds like with an actual good quality woofer.
It's called a Voice Coil and got it's inspiration from the loud speaker. Drive heads used to be controlled by a spinning screw thread or worm drive but that was very slow.
That would have been my 1st choice also. I have used r/w arms for silly other uses too though, that didn't require audio or much other circuits to implement, like a flipping mech for a cat string toy.

it works like a conventional speaker, and its operating principle is based on the principle of leverage, sound is transmitted from the oscillating coil and transmitted to the diaphragm through the lever.
This is all an elaborate scam to sell that screwdriver. You are supposed to go to Amazon, look for it, think that you found the same electric rechargeable driver, and buy it. When what you will actually find on Amazon is a manual version of the set, that is not powered. The Amazon one sells for $32 and is worth about $6. Good scam though!
You've gone too far and gone too far. I have no purpose as you think. This is really my great idea, I want to take advantage of old things to turn them into really useful things. Can you do that?
I think it's not really good to sell and use continuously every day. I will try to improve it a lot so that it can work continuously in the most durable way
Its cool that you fixed a broken speaker using the electromagnet from an old hard drive. I would never have considered that thats a good way to fix a speaker but it seems to work pretty well. I made a door bell using a broken hard drive once. Still works like a charm.
Full spectrum... it's a burden for a single coil/actuator. You should have 3 coils and 3 cones, with a crossover so each coil could work better. Furthermore, try to reduce the sag in the mechanics.
A lot of trouble to take a speaker then make a speaker using a different concept. I admit it is creative and never seen this done like this! Not bad ...
Doesn't anyone else realize that the speaker is moving the hard disk's actuator arm and not the other way around? This guy is also not the first one to try it, but is the most obvious faker.
