Matt Phantom wins this category by a horses nose as his 'flawed cowboy tries to cope'. This piece is reminiscent of the bands EPK's in telling a story of an outsider individual whose eccentric behavior puts him at odds with society and continues the story of the album along its logical progression, each video and track being as important to the overall as the one before or after and be 'regarded as part of one greater entity'.
The video is true art, and makes this song whole. Love it
It is really hard to describe the feelings this video gives you! on the contrast it is so easy to notice the creativity and intelligence behind it and how incredibly it fits the song! simply AMAZING!
I've seen this video literally hundreds of time, I've taken parts for a wallpaper. The combination with the music is perfect. excellent job to Matt Phantom

Strangely, the other video has 1M + views, but this is clearly the better tale.
God! I imagined a video to this song to be so different from what it is.... I imagined a cosmic cowboy riding on his intergalactic stallion through the galaxies... and then at the end of the song he blends into the universe and becomes a cowboy constellation.
But then again, that's just the video that plays in my head whenever I hear this song.
How do you feel about it now 13 years later?
Röyksopp were the guests on a Norwegian TV show about a month ago where they mostly talked about their visuals and costumes, some parts of this video along with the competition winner, The Alcoholic, were also aired.

The direction for this video was perhaps its maker having listened to the song over 100 times to truly understand it and make a visual inbterpretation for it. What it really should be is that the artist listens to the song once, and then proceed to make the music video for it. Perhaps even greater so, make the music video based on the look of the waves the sound produces, rather than listening to it. A video like this bores such a viewer like myself, and i am left to journey through it alone.
