Back cruising on our narrowboat after a year off!!
We've left Priory Marina at Bedford and out cruising the River Great Ouse..
Join us on our Narrowboat Journey, as we pass through Cardington Lock followed by Castle Mill Lock This lock is exceptionally deep, even when full you have to climb down a ladder to reach your boat!
We moor up at the lovely village of great Barford, before continuing our journey back to Canal and River Trust waters.
We are Patrick and Eileen. In 2018 we decided to quit the rat race by giving up our jobs and selling our home to buy a narrowboat to continuously cruise the inland waterways of the UK. We bought a 57 foot Bickerstaffe boat which we named Dunworkin.
This is a record of our journey, Our Narrowboat Quest to explore the navigable waterways of England and Wales, to continuously cruise throughout the year. Join us as we experience all seasons, the wonders of our beautiful countryside, towns, villages and cities and even our industrial heritage, nowadays an ironic contrast to its raison d'être.
We love creating our videos and sharing them on UA-cam, so please feel free to share with your friends and family if you think they may be interested in our journey.

Hello Dave, sorry for late reply as we seemed to have missed this comment.
As you may know we have now returned to our boat full time and back to vlogging.
We are unable to discuss the reasons we have been away other than to say that we have been dealing with a family matter which affects many peoples lives and it wouldn’t be fair to them to be discussing it on a public forum. In fact it would probably be detrimental to their mental health. Hope you understand.
