About the Game:
Lies of P is an action role-playing video game developed by Neowiz Games and Round8 Studio, and published by Neowiz Games.
Inspired by Carlo Collodi's novel The Adventures of Pinocchio, Lies of P tells the story Pinocchio, a robotic "puppet". However, unlike other puppets, Pinocchio has the capability to lie, which will play a role during important story decisions.
Puppets were invented in the city of Krat thanks to the discovery of a revolutionary power source, Ergo, underneath the city. Puppets soon became ubiquitous throughout the city, performing most of the menial labor for the populace. Foremost among the puppet inventors is the legendary Geppetto, who created Pinocchio. In order to ensure that Puppets would not be a threat, all puppets were bound to the Grand Covenant, which forbids puppets from lying or attacking humans. However, despite this, one day the puppets revolt, slaughtering most of the human population of Krat.
In addition to the puppets, Krat also suffers from the mysterious Petrification Disease which blinds its victims before fully petrifying and destorying them. There currently is no known cure to the disease.

The Toma/Murphy quest is actually heartbreaking. They did environmental storytelling and narrative through item descriptions really well in this game.
Especially when you learn to read the puppet language, you see Scrapped Watchman talk about his friendship with Toma and the kids as you're fighting him!
i did the big robot in the poison before the switch to turn it off. it was pure pain, took about 11 tries.
When i pulled the lever and eventually saw the empty arena, i was hurt, deeply.

The tension and irony of fighting Scrapped Watchman knowing your pad can disconnect any second due to low power must be something else xD
1:32:12 that was actually cool unique dialogue I didn’t get, as well as his death dialogue. the clothes you were wearing made him mistake you for someone else, but would have been confusing in first playthrough. Read the set you had on and the set you got if you want any backstory on it.
On the Riddle makes sense that is a human
we walk on 4 legs as a baby (morning)
2 as an adult (mid day)
3 as an old man with a cane (dawn)
The times of day threw me the hell off lmao
I love these shorter episodes; daily is tough and we don't expect it, 3x a week is even terrific. This format is much better as a viewer, keep up the awesome work, Mati!

The riddle is talking about humans. When it talks about the time of day, it's actually talking about different stages of life. In the early years you crawl, by your mid years, you only walk on two legs, and near the end, you walk with a cane.
Not sure if you've picked up on this and maybe this will help other players, but the perfect guard actually works a bit differently than the deflect in Sekiro, even though on the surface it looks the same. In Sekiro, the window for a deflect is tied to the enemies' attacks. There is a window before the attack lands where pressing the guard button counts as a deflect. So it's perfectly fine to simply tap the button to get the deflect, hoping to land the button press within that window. But in Lies of P, it's kind of the opposite. The window for getting a perfect guard is dependent on how long you hold down the guard button. If you tap the button, you will get a smaller window to get the perfect guard. So it's better to hold down the button a little longer to get the full window for the perfect guard.

Haha. Don’t kick yourself Mati. A lot of us have heard that riddle at some point in our lives. It’s an old classic that I think might be Egyptian in origin that’s often used in media. Without knowing that I would have probably chosen a game centric related answer like yourself.

That fight against the Watchman is a pain in the ass! I went full Technique Build and had a hard time with it, tried parrying as much as I could, and found it frustrating but really rewarding in the end.

Put in like 12 hours so far, pretty damn solid, outside of nioh 2 i'd say the best excluding from. Hyped to see you on a specific boss, i got my shit beat in for a good hour lmao.
Also, the game seems to want both dodging and parrying from the player, there are some sick ass combos with fable/legion arm.

Started playing this morning, did a nice 4 hour sesh, tho this boss definitely gave me the most issues so far. I´d say I´m at about the same part you are now ^^

It took me between 30-40 tries total. This boss was really tough and just like you, I struggled with the grab. How many tries did it take you, also counting your tries in the demo? I used the electric club to beat him. He was easier to stagger with it.

I didn’t even get that dialogue when i fought the stalker with the rat mask, i guess it was because of the outfit you were wearing. So that was awesome to see. Also perfect guarding is broken, it will be your best friend.

You may already know this but when fighting watchmen it was so much easier for me holding down the guard for a perfect block rather than pressing repeatedly. I beat him in 3 tries after I started doing that. Great video btw!

I got the same thing with Fuoco where I got the stagger, landed the charge and he just decided to do the fire thing and not accept that I should have gotten a fatal attack. He took me a couple sessions of trying to beat him. Definetely a difficult boss.
funniest thing about this game isn’t how strict the guard window is, but the fact that the game is so heavily built around perfect guard and staggering, that often times Specters will hurt you more than they help because you can’t keep aggro
to that point though, this game pretty much demands that you memorize the moveset of every enemy, especially minibosses and bosses, because you HAVE to get your guard timing down pat

Also. I find the dodging to work pretty well, but perhaps that’s just because I’ve been playing a lot of Bloodborne lately. But neglecting the block isn’t possible in this game, which I had to learn. And I am also at the Scrapped Watchman fight! I beat him, but he NEVER went for the grab on me, or if he did I guess all my midrange fighting in BB with the Cane paid off, cause I must have just been outta range for it.

Beat the game yesterday. It’s been pure suffering for me especially in the later part of the game😂😂, still had a great time playing it tho.
For the riddle, the tricky dude uses the idea of a day to represent a person's lifespan; morning - walking on 4 - baby crawling; noon - 2 - adult walking with 2 legs; evening - 3 - elderly walking with a cane!
The game is awesome telling you at the start of an area what its enemies are weak to. Pay attention and change weapons/buffs accordingly
It's the Riddle of the Sphinx. A classic riddle. Morning is birth, afternoon is adulthood, evening is old age on a cane, night is death. 4 stages of a human.
To be more specific: morning is four legs because a toddler cannot walk on two feet. Adulthood is mid-day because a healthy adult walks on two legs. Evening is three legs because the elderly walk with a cane.

I think the main issue you had with the Scrapped Watchman was not using the two tools you had (since in the early game you don't have much): fable arts and your prosthetic arm! both of these would have helped for sure!

The Scrapped Watchman is an very tragic figure - abandoned in a dead city district, with a painful physical disability that he can't control and doesn't understand, surrounded by the petrified bodies of the very people that he was supposed to protect and bring joy to; and potentially giving us some insight into the backstory of the disease and Quarantine Zone
