A health bar appears above his head. The dad gets more tense. The dad reaches for the metal pipe but you know you won't let that happen. You kick his stomach with force and he falls over. He gets up with fierce motion. You know you fucked up. PHASE III - SHOWDOWN 1:34 Home Depot boss music plays, and your enemy is not alone anymore. With dad's sidekick, the employee, stands by his side. The dad throws the first punch to your face. But the punch was slow and you managed to dodge the incoming fist coming your way. The employee roundhouse kicks your stomach, which puts you off-guard, as you forgot employees can still fight. You look up, and the dad is standing over you, menacingly. This feels mildly similar to Risk of Rain 2, specifically the character REX. (robot/plant symbiotic being, with a set of natural attacks and a set of mechanical attacks.)

The music empowering the dad makes him powerful. You charge in after grabbing a metal pole next to you. A mighty war cry echoes through Home Depot as you two fight for the last 2x4. The dad blocks your strike with a wooden dowel rod. "It's not about the weapon, son, it's about how you use it." He says knocking you to the ground. you jump back. He takes the offensive and charges. You suddenly think about why you're doing this, for your deck. You say it in your head, "I will not lose here. That much is set in stone!" The dad charges but he's slower. Your much more nimble. You throw a row of planks on the ground stopping him. The dad gets blinded by the saw dust. You charge full speed through the dust. You go for an attack to the head, but he saw it coming. He moves his head making the pole collide with his shoulder. Shoulder dislocated he steps back and snaps his arm back in place. The dad charges enraged. This time grabbing a large plank to use as a riot shield. The shield lowers his visibility, and he doesn't notice that you're now standing where you knocked down the planks. You rush up behind him intending to take out his knees. He reacts swiftly and grabs the edges of the board and attacks you with his shield as if it was a large fan. You try to block with your metal pole, but it fails, knocking your pole into your head. You hear a ringing and can't see straight. You come to only to see that the dad is now kicking you in the chin. You fall to the ground. The dad approaches. He begins to speak but you blind him again by throwing sawdust that you gathered off the floor earlier in his face. You kick him in the shins staggering him. You then push the dad down and collapse a row of wood on him, trapping him. You grab the 2x4 and depart from your victory. You check out and leave to complete your deck. The very deck that you will have many memories on with your friends and family.
I love it, I just wish it had more of that competitive feeling. The back & forth between the hammers felt like they started competing, alternating swings. If you ever make another maybe throw in a third swing (like from Andre in Dark Souls) and kind of treat it like a 'rap battle' beat where the two hammers get a couple lines then come together for a fully formed beat, when the third hammer swings down changing up the dynamic.
I just imagine a boss fight where you just run around a warehouse and all the workers run on the upper decks and just throw random shit at you. And then A FORKLIFT CERTIFIED DRIVES TO YOU 💀

I love it, I just wish it had more of that competitive feeling. The back & forth between the hammers felt like they started competing, alternating swings.
If you ever make another maybe throw in a third swing (like from Andre in Dark Souls) and kind of treat it like a 'rap battle' beat where the two hammers get a couple lines then come together for a fully formed beat, when the third hammer swings down changing up the dynamic.
