The interesting thing about the Icewind Suite, the dancing robots boss, is that both the male and female robots are different fights. Coppelius is Pnuema aligned, and Coppelia is Ousia aligned. They have different patterns, and ult phases. I would not be surprised if they release an abyss where one chamber has both fights. Coppelia on first half, then rematch with Coppelius on second half.
I could see them doing that. It won't be surprising at all if future spiral abyss have ousia enemies on one side and pnuema on the other. Gotta keep players spending on gacga.

For the open world exploration you're not urged to use a specific character there are always either ousia or pneuma activator for puzzles that need them to be used

It makes sense because of her being the archon of fontaine, and we know that Genshin don't make jokes when making a archons kit because they have to represent their element
Her dual eye colors has me worrying the same. She might just be "meta" in being able to apply both pneuma & ousia and not actually a good unit. I sure hope I'm just being paranoid and my fears are wrong.

New characters acting as hard-counters to new bosses is an aspect of later versions of HI3 that I really don’t want to see in Genshin. Hopefully, Fontaine characters will have more unique aspects to them than that
Luckily I had no trouble beating the Ice Couple boss with my regular team without using the ousia or pneuma. If it stays like this, that it just may take a little bit longer, but you are still able to kill stuff just fine, I have no problems with the system.
I hear you guys and yes Abyss will be pain. I am AR60 as well, its just that I relegated this game to "I play it when I want and how I want, its just a relax game" and stopped caring about 36* abyss. The few extra primos you get is not worth the struggle, I usually complete just abyss 11 and don't even try the floor 12. I will happily forgo the 150 primo for all the stress and trying.
Please do a C6 Lynette showcase, also, I'm not entirely sure if you're going to do a showcase of Hydro Traveler, but it would also be welcome, because their only utility for me is pairing them with Candace for Hypercarry reasons, and you might give me some light to their kit usages.
I think of her as Collei. Decent dmg and use but can be overshadowed by gacha characters. And she's free! She is meant to help new players with Anemo applications and exploration early game
@@GoldenFlash0 Xiangling, Xingque, Bennet, Fischl and somewhat Sucrose were mistakes that hoyo never repeated, and if did then they are locked behind constellations much like Faruzan c6. If shtoyo made Xiangling now then she might get same dmg multipliers as Dehya or worse.
I tested her taunt in the abyss and it works pretty well, at least until f11, I couldn't bring her to f12 yet because Hoyoverse hates mono anemo. The team Wanderer Faruzan Lynette Bennett is so smooth to play
different elements have different roles. We'll never see an anemo shield, and likely not a hydro shield, although hydro shield might be a thing b.c they are running out of ideas
we have a shield for every other element i think its safe to say we'll get one eventually, getting a bubble shield or a anemo shield that pushes things away doesnt seem too crazy considering we have a pyro character that can swing a guitar and give u a fire shield. @@escapetherace1943

After what Dendro brings to the meta with Sumeru, I guess the Ousia mechanic is just a way to create new desirable characters to get in the new region since Hydro is already available from the start. Yeah, they might introduce new mechanics in Natlan and Sneznahya too no doubt. Can't wait till they introduce a counter to sheer cold in Sneznahya.😅
The counter should really be called shuba (the Russian word for "fur coat", pronounced kinda like SHOE-bah) and I wish it would render a fur coat on everyone in cold areas, but alas... Not likely to happen
As you already see in this video, Lynette is only useful for 1 niche mechanic in the game for only a few specific enemies and she's easily replaced if there was no new mechanic at all. I have the feeling that all these characters are going to be relevant for 1 year max because abbyss is pushing you to get these characters only just for the mechanic to work. This meta feels really forced and only relevent for a short time, not something I want to invest my summons on

There are a few scenarios where i can see lynette working just as good or maybe even better than sucrose and since abyss has two sides i can see her having a use-case. Namely cryo teams or mono elemental teams who don't benefit from the EM sucrose gives, fighting against bosses where you don't need grouping. Since Lynette provides atk% (a bit less than ttds but constantly) and has more personal damage. Also her dash is good against more spaced enemies (i know, barely, but every second counts). and her infusion priority theoretically is a bit better for cryo teams. I feel like people are underestimating her a bit. The thing is that kazuha and sucrose are both top tier characters and she just fills a similar role, so it's hard to compete. But she really doesn't fall THAT far behind.
Lynette is actually super convenient for new players doing exploration. Her pseudo-yelan skill is great for traversal, and since she is anemo, you can switch traveler to geo when you reach liyue and still be able to do all the exploration mechanics. Until now you had to either get lucky and pull another anemo character, or switch the travelers element constantly. Just for that alone I think she is a welcome addition to the game.
i was hoping they would be the first duo characters... but mihoyo really knows how to disapoint... at least swimming is cool... a shame its only in one part of the map.
@@Hina_Miyathey meant, you can only swim under water in Fontaine, so in places like inazuma, that one island in mondstadt and another island In Liyue, you have to manually swim with normal stamina
I remember playing genshin in 1.1 and having to switch between anemo and geo traveler because I hadn't rolled sucrose to hit anemo monuments and didn't have a geo character to place constructs on pressure plates. Any free anemo character is a massive bonus to new players IMHO Edit: A few people said "everyone gets noelle" and most in the comments have realized why that doesn't work, but I'll list the reasons here to avoid confusion. 1) She has no construct mechanic, so she can't hold down pressure plates and 2) even for the geo monuments her skill's cooldown is so long it's either incredibly annoying or actually impossible since some of them are timed. For those ones you'd have to get her burst to do it, and at low AR with basically no artifact investment is a pain for any character and getting burst back for noelle specifically at those low levels is a NIGHTMARE. That said getting Lynette at AR25 feels pretty late which sucks, but at least there's a guarantee now for an eventual anemo character if nothing else

I gotta say it's... A bit weird I guess, that Hoyo is trying to add in a whole other mechanic to make some characters useful, or mandatory for enemies rather than just... Making them a bit more challenging or functioning within the set possibilities? Like do I really need to maybe do an abyss floor with an "ousia team" just to counter the one mechanic? Dendro specific mechanics I can understand more since they actually bring something to the table: an entire element to build around. Ousia just seems like a needless forced mechanic to battles. Seems really lazy rather than tackling the main problem. Like outside of exploring, Lynette doesn't seem to have a lot of uses which others can't do, or provide more. Am I crazy?
It's nothing new for Hoyo. Honkai Impact 3rd introduces new boss mechanics every version update or 2 and a new valk to counter that said mechanic. I abhor this game direction to be honest and I do hope this will not be the case with Genshin from this point on.
@@soulannihilator3185 Yeah I'm not a fan of it. Each nation will potentially have some gimmick with a new thing, instead of building or fleshing out previous mechanics. It's nothing skill related, it's just a "what fits" kind of thing and makes team building more strict with characters you probably don't wanna use.
I am so happy, that we got her for free. And she is so strong, I only have her lvl 40 and she already hits hard. And her Ult lasts for ever. really nice
I'm not crazy about these new mechanics. I'm not pulling this banner so my only options are hydro traveler and Lynette, neither of whom I want to invest in
her dmg doesnt even matter its the taunt + team buff. Still, Sucrose and especially Kazuha feel much stronger, and they are. No problem tho cause I've been running her with Kazuha for the speed bonus. She seems good for newbies.
@@jeanvaljean6433 I have tried her with a crit build like that and with my Kazuha's EM gear (she reached 900 EM) and she does much less than a sucrose even with 300EM would do. With crit I've seen her drop 12,000 and EM wasn't much better. Sucrose and Kazu provide way bigger teambuff. Lynette has very low ratios lol.... it's really sad they should've just made her a 2nd sucrose
I'm having a blast with her. I love her kit. I got a C6 Sucrose and she kills obviously, lol. But Lynette is super fun to play. I have a R5 lvl 90 Fav sword on her, and it's a decent little setup.
This was my biggest worry when they went over the new fontaine "elemental type" mechanics, your basically forced to use them for certain fights which i really hate.
I'm sure new mechanic won't be a problem as long as you strong enough and brute force through the mechanic like SIMON that require electro and daendro for fast clearing but totally clearable with well built character. New player will pull anyway and veteran can choose either pull or stick to their already well built charscters
@@alessioskomneos655 I think the better example is 'wooden shield' which can be removed with Pyro through burning reaction, but Arkhe mechanism is region locked instead of well established element system which is problematic in many ways: first it could be a means to force players to pull for very specifically Fontaine characters even though they may not be unique or better than other regions, second it restricted team comp and choice of characters because adding new artificially-counter mechanism on top of reaction based system is always a bad thing, third ASIMOM doesn't actually make your characters 'weaker' against it even if you don't have Dendro and Electro on your team because it could be destroyed before invisible phase while Arkhe mechanism add 'buffs' on enemies from starts, fourth if it's true that Arkhe mechanism is not permanent and exclusive to Fontaine only then it's purely FOMO products.

honestly I feel like VV is the wrong move for her. She has very little capability to swirl due to long cooldowns, but she does have decent damage multipliers on her abilities tbh. Imo give her the new Wolf-Fang sword for the crit & EM + 2P VV/2P Desert Pav and it'll probably do more for her
As someone who got Lynette to c6 while pulling for Yelan but doesn't have Kazuha or Sucrose I'm quite happy to have her. Well in theory she should be beneficial to my account but currently I still need to farm everything for her.
C0 with R5 Harbinger of Dawn, solid Crit artifacts and invested talents she definitely can bang. Grouping is definitely not as great, but combo-ed with Diona, Layla and Xing is very fun. Dual shields + healing to maintain HoD's bonus, and it's extremely respectable. Anything is good for F2P or whales, just depends on the dedication and investment.

I am f2p and i was saving pg like for 2 months. With around 20k primo i pulled for yelan and lost 50-50 to keqing. Then after next pity i got yelan and lucky me also got c6 Lynette.❤
The "counter a specific type of enemy" is probably bound to happen, since at this point, everyone has powerful characters built and can already clear every content with the rotation of 8 characters or something. Therefore incentive to pull for new characters would dwindle from a meta perspective, eg. why would i pull for Lyney when I already have a very well built Hutao. Therefore new characters will either be powercreeps, or fill a more niche role, ie. countering an enemy mechanic, providing a specific type of utility, etc The direction sucks, but that's kinda how it goes with gachas if they want you to keep pulling.
It's better than power creeping every old unit every couple of patches. Honestly think about it. Venti used to be the CC God but they added heavy enemies to nerf that level of power. But then we have Kazuha on of the most broken units to exist in the games life span he pretty much power creeped Venti. Imagine if every time a new Anemo Character was released they were better than Kazuha? Pulling for him would have felt like a waste. Adding new mechanics to the game that only a certain characters can use changes how we look at characters going forward.
hoyo's strategy of making problems (enemies, mechanics, scenarios) that is only solvable by using specific characters has existed since the game came out, but never was it more emphasized than in this update. I only hope this would turn out good for them and the players
Absolutely agree about Lynette C1. I spent 11 wishes to get her C1 after being initially impressed with her character. Got another Sac Sword and then C1 Lynette, only to be disappointed that I couldn't tell the difference. Hopefully Hoyo reworks that C1

Imagine u open up the game, greeted by that beautiful maintenance rewards. Then, you open up the event page. Guess what? You see plenty and I MEAN PLENTY of new events. You do them and you have fun with Fontaine events. Then? Here comes the best part. YOU OPEN UP THE WISH PAGE. Guess what? After all the new (free to play) primogems you have gotten, u can do a ten pull, even more. You do it. Now 2 things could happen for you. You can get bennet, one of the best 4 stars, Barbara who is now rlly good for bloom teams, or LYNETTE, this new cool ousia character that u would never want to miss out on. Not just that, if you’re adventure rank 26 or above, u get another or a FREE lynette. But that’s not it. You also get a FREEEEE BENNETTTTT. The goat himself. The probably one of the 3 best 4 stars with the best c1 you can get it freee. Now the 2nd thing that could happen for you, is you could get, A 5 STARRRRRRRRRR. U can wish for yelan, one of the best 5 stars in the game. Or even better, U COULD GET LYNEYYYY. THE NEW COOL 5 STAR FONTAINE CHARACTER. Also, seems to be an extremely strong one. I mean with level 1 talents it’s killing regisvine at around 3 seconds with a combo. Your thrilled. Absolutely thrilled. Now I know that if your last 5 star was a event one or if you’ve never gotten a 5 star before, you might lose the 50/50. Now good thing is. They have released a new extremely good standard banner character, tighnari. Keqing has became much much better after dendro. And Mona is much better too. So pretty much so many good things 4 u now, and Fontaine is amazing. Everyone has been liking it look at videos. Said a lot, I think you get the point now. And that’s to get yo dum as off that lame star rail game. You should get off star rail NOW.
I'd be very happy about mechanics with dedicated counters in 4* characters if they were freely obtainable. And I don't mean like the rotating 6-month shop, or like "if you login/do this through this patch" events type of thing. I mean it as in make them obtainable (even if just at C0) for free at any time. Make the companion quest give them to you, for example (which would also be quite thematic). But since we know how painful it can be to obtain 4*s in this game, I'm not looking forward for mid units that are hard counters for a specific boss being hidden behind a paywall.
Aka just wait for 1 ousia character and 1 pneuma character athat can be easily sloted in ur current teams, lvl them up just for the shield breaking mechanic.
Just doing the hunter set domain I can tell that the arkhe system is going to make certain enemies a lot easier to deal with, do I like a forced shift in roster choice, sure, so I like it in this way? Ehhh, still I think the enimies are far from too challenging without it, some just have a kinda agro attack pattern and stunning them would be great
maybe it's just a stupid question, in 4:27 how you didn't fall straight to the floor when your air dash/sprint finished with Wanderer? When I do that I fall like lead, but you kept the momentum in the air for a second 🤔
Ousia damage counters hopefully wont be a thing in Abyss moving forward. Sure, its nice to have easy bosses that are easily winnable with the mechanic, but its gonna be a huge pain if you bring one character specifically to counter one mechanic in Abyss 12's 6 floors, because if the character has little to no synergy with the team, that means the remaining 3 characters are gonna be needing a higher artifact threshold to perform.
Lyney's charge attack does do Pneuma dmg as well so it is not just Lynette's skill Edit: lyney is light and Lynette is dark EDIT 2: Hydro traveler also has the pneuma dmg added into the end half of there skill aswell though I beleave it is light so Lynette would be the only dark right now
It would have made much more sense imo to make overload or shatter disable the robots, so players would have had an incentive to use those otherwise undesirable reactions. They could have still sold new characters by making their kits around those reactions like Nilou for bloom.
New mechanics attract players. If they didnt have this new mechanic, suddenly the new hydro characters arent any different than the OG hydro. Suddenly the region has no new gameplay...it wouldve been another monstadt which is a boring af town that requires next to nothing.
I use her with liney kazuha and c6 bennet, my linette is c1, This way i have grouping from kazuha, a extra taunt from her after everyone is grouped by kazuha so liney can charge attack to his heart's content and then i have c6 bennet. I used to have xiangling in linette's slot, But with the new fontain mechanic her E is verry usefull (also sac. sword IMO is better then fav since you can proc the ousia damage twice so if there's multiple enemies you can disable more then when you use fav) and she can wear a different artifact set. becayse kazuha is on VV.. Could be anything TBH
I'm kinda new to the game, just started Inazuma and I have a question, got Yelan and a C4 Lynette in the process, I have a C0 Sucrose that helps a lot, it's a good idea to use her *Lynette* instead? While i don't have more constellations for Sucrose.
Forgot about Ousia mechanics and dancing boss, Vivianne of the Lake (Tainted Water Spouting Phantasm) is the real boss. It has chonky HP and it hit like a truck. I haven't seen a single enemies harder to kill than those world elite mob, this include World Boss and Weekly Boss. I need at least 3 rotation to kill this elite mob with my best Abyss team. 😢
Gonna be honest...the underwater 'bosses' /unique enemies felt harder than most of the world bosses we've been getting for a while now (including Copella in this update....didn't do the male version yet as I was after mats for Lynette) but that was mainly due to the fact underwater combat is....kinda meh and I didn't realize some mechanics of holding down the skill for the shield power (if you get hit while holding it it powers up the attack....was doing about 2K on a crab unique enemy and the HP bar was going down by like 1% per hit and was wondering how the hell do you beat this frigging thing/was there some way to upgrade damage for underwater attacks and then i go the tutorial on the shield ability you get from crabs and it more or less told me holding R2 (i use controller) increases the damage and boy it does it by quite a bit...goes from like 2.4K damage to 28K damage instead lol. The Manta Ray ability is the most damaging though even without holding it down and of coruse is mainly the one you want to fight manta ray unique enemies with and the sonar attack from the seals is of course useful on the seal unique enemies (when I say Unique enemies I mean enemies of that type but are stronger than the average mob of their type). I will give Hoyoverse credit for 1 thing though: underwater movement feels good at least...in fact I'd say it's probably the best underwater movement I've played to date and it feels much much faster than when you're walking around on land (even when not dash swimming or using currents)...combat's meh like I said, workable at least and has nothing unique to it as all characters fight the same way underwater (should've done something to change up how characters of different weapon types fought underwater at least) but at least it doesn't feel slow like I thought it'd be from watching the livestream a couple weeks ago (unless they sped up movement at the last moment).
I stumbled across this thing thinking it was just some overworld mob, and it took ages to kill. Not a huge challenge but just long. Seems like a decent damage test target.
I'm going to be honest ever since this ousia/other one damage thing was announced i got really worried. Obviously part of a game devs job is to create a problem and then sell you the solution but there needs to be some degree of separation between the two so that it's not so ham-handed. When they do things like this where I character has no advantage over another except for this single mechanic it means they can make all Fontaine characters less powerful in exchange for giving them this mechanic, And furthermore, we have no confirmation of how this mechanic might be applied in areas outside of Fontaine or if it will at all and if it isn't then that means lots of Fontaine characters will be for Fontaine only meaning they are trying to limit us using characters in every nation and rather getting specific characters for a specific nations enemies which is just super super greedy and they were already greedy enough
So... while pulling for Lynette cons and hoping for a Yelan, I lost my 50/50 to Keqing. It was my first time using Keqing but I've seen a lot of guides about her already. I know Kirara was really great in a Keqing team due to Keqing wanting teammates with fast rotations, but I didn't expect how well Lynette would fit Keqing's team too. She actually fits perfectly on a Kazuha team. Also, stocking team is pretty good. Just slap Keqing, Mona, Lynette, and Fischl together. I definitely recommend for other stockings enjoyer like me 🤣
I feel like she would be a great addition to the game if her burst snappshots, she would be good on the 3 anome core with Faruzan + Anemo DPS + Lynette, but not snapshoting bennet is a big down on that team... well, guess she really is just a ousia bot after all
I like Lynnette because I'm on my first week of play and I can actually ascend her without unlocking the Fontaine map. At least past level 20. I have a Kuki that I can't ascend at all past 20 until I get to her part of the map to get the flowers. Still Kuki is a badass, ascended or not lol. At least at my level (AR30)
The amazing thing about Lynette is that the cat hat deals both anemo and (pyro/electro/hydro/cryo) damage at the same time. This means that in a hutao team, you can swirl her pyro activating vv res debuff while simulatenously being a mini yelan (that fixes occasional accidents whereby pyro becomes applied onto the enemy before yelan's cube attacks hit, AS WELL AS proccing another VV res debuff). Yelan + Lynette also runs insanely fast.

I had to uninstall HI3 from my phone due to storage issue when fountaine dropped, that game is just a power creep simulator

I hear you guys and yes Abyss will be pain. I am AR60 as well, its just that I relegated this game to "I play it when I want and how I want, its just a relax game" and stopped caring about 36* abyss. The few extra primos you get is not worth the struggle, I usually complete just abyss 11 and don't even try the floor 12. I will happily forgo the 150 primo for all the stress and trying.
At c4, Lynette's skill(s) and Sayu's skill line up almost perfectly. So you can go super fast without using ANY stamina

I think of her as Collei. Decent dmg and use but can be overshadowed by gacha characters. And she's free! She is meant to help new players with Anemo applications and exploration early game

If shtoyo made Xiangling now then she might get same dmg multipliers as Dehya or worse.

I tested her taunt in the abyss and it works pretty well, at least until f11, I couldn't bring her to f12 yet because Hoyoverse hates mono anemo. The team Wanderer Faruzan Lynette Bennett is so smooth to play
different elements have different roles. We'll never see an anemo shield, and likely not a hydro shield, although hydro shield might be a thing b.c they are running out of ideas
we have a shield for every other element i think its safe to say we'll get one eventually, getting a bubble shield or a anemo shield that pushes things away doesnt seem too crazy considering we have a pyro character that can swing a guitar and give u a fire shield. @@escapetherace1943

After what Dendro brings to the meta with Sumeru, I guess the Ousia mechanic is just a way to create new desirable characters to get in the new region since Hydro is already available from the start. Yeah, they might introduce new mechanics in Natlan and Sneznahya too no doubt.

The counter should really be called shuba (the Russian word for "fur coat", pronounced kinda like SHOE-bah) and I wish it would render a fur coat on everyone in cold areas, but alas... Not likely to happen
As you already see in this video, Lynette is only useful for 1 niche mechanic in the game for only a few specific enemies and she's easily replaced if there was no new mechanic at all. I have the feeling that all these characters are going to be relevant for 1 year max because abbyss is pushing you to get these characters only just for the mechanic to work. This meta feels really forced and only relevent for a short time, not something I want to invest my summons on

@@daphneschoenmaker8038 well, kazu is kinda op. There are a few scenarios where i can see lynette working just as good or maybe even better than sucrose and since abyss has two sides i can see her having a use-case.
Namely cryo teams or mono elemental teams who don't benefit from the EM sucrose gives, fighting against bosses where you don't need grouping. Since Lynette provides atk% (a bit less than ttds but constantly) and has more personal damage. Also her dash is good against more spaced enemies (i know, barely, but every second counts). and her infusion priority theoretically is a bit better for cryo teams. I feel like people are underestimating her a bit. The thing is that kazuha and sucrose are both top tier characters and she just fills a similar role, so it's hard to compete. But she really doesn't fall THAT far behind.
I love Lynette's design and personality a lot! She is so elegant and mysterious
Lynette is actually super convenient for new players doing exploration. Her pseudo-yelan skill is great for traversal, and since she is anemo, you can switch traveler to geo when you reach liyue and still be able to do all the exploration mechanics. Until now you had to either get lucky and pull another anemo character, or switch the travelers element constantly. Just for that alone I think she is a welcome addition to the game.

I remember playing genshin in 1.1 and having to switch between anemo and geo traveler because I hadn't rolled sucrose to hit anemo monuments and didn't have a geo character to place constructs on pressure plates. Any free anemo character is a massive bonus to new players IMHO
Edit: A few people said "everyone gets noelle" and most in the comments have realized why that doesn't work, but I'll list the reasons here to avoid confusion. 1) She has no construct mechanic, so she can't hold down pressure plates and 2) even for the geo monuments her skill's cooldown is so long it's either incredibly annoying or actually impossible since some of them are timed. For those ones you'd have to get her burst to do it, and at low AR with basically no artifact investment is a pain for any character and getting burst back for noelle specifically at those low levels is a NIGHTMARE. That said getting Lynette at AR25 feels pretty late which sucks, but at least there's a guarantee now for an eventual anemo character if nothing else

I gotta say it's... A bit weird I guess, that Hoyo is trying to add in a whole other mechanic to make some characters useful, or mandatory for enemies rather than just... Making them a bit more challenging or functioning within the set possibilities? Like do I really need to maybe do an abyss floor with an "ousia team" just to counter the one mechanic? Dendro specific mechanics I can understand more since they actually bring something to the table: an entire element to build around. Ousia just seems like a needless forced mechanic to battles. Seems really lazy rather than tackling the main problem. Like outside of exploring, Lynette doesn't seem to have a lot of uses which others can't do, or provide more. Am I crazy?
It's nothing new for Hoyo. Honkai Impact 3rd introduces new boss mechanics every version update or 2 and a new valk to counter that said mechanic. I abhor this game direction to be honest and I do hope this will not be the case with Genshin from this point on.
@@soulannihilator3185 Yeah I'm not a fan of it. Each nation will potentially have some gimmick with a new thing, instead of building or fleshing out previous mechanics. It's nothing skill related, it's just a "what fits" kind of thing and makes team building more strict with characters you probably don't wanna use.

her dmg doesnt even matter its the taunt + team buff. Still, Sucrose and especially Kazuha feel much stronger, and they are. No problem tho cause I've been running her with Kazuha for the speed bonus. She seems good for newbies.
I have like 70:140 on a sac sword with c1,she does like 11k x 2. Not much of an upgrade over say,jean
@@jeanvaljean6433 I have tried her with a crit build like that and with my Kazuha's EM gear (she reached 900 EM) and she does much less than a sucrose even with 300EM would do. With crit I've seen her drop 12,000 and EM wasn't much better. Sucrose and Kazu provide way bigger teambuff. Lynette has very low ratios lol.... it's really sad they should've just made her a 2nd sucrose
I'm having a blast with her. I love her kit. I got a C6 Sucrose and she kills obviously, lol. But Lynette is super fun to play. I have a R5 lvl 90 Fav sword on her, and it's a decent little setup.
This was my biggest worry when they went over the new fontaine "elemental type" mechanics, your basically forced to use them for certain fights which i really hate.
I'm sure new mechanic won't be a problem as long as you strong enough and brute force through the mechanic like SIMON that require electro and daendro for fast clearing but totally clearable with well built character. New player will pull anyway and veteran can choose either pull or stick to their already well built charscters

I think the better example is 'wooden shield' which can be removed with Pyro through burning reaction, but Arkhe mechanism is region locked instead of well established element system which is problematic in many ways: first it could be a means to force players to pull for very specifically Fontaine characters even though they may not be unique or better than other regions, second it restricted team comp and choice of characters because adding new artificially-counter mechanism on top of reaction based system is always a bad thing, third ASIMOM doesn't actually make your characters 'weaker' against it even if you don't have Dendro and Electro on your team because it could be destroyed before invisible phase while Arkhe mechanism add 'buffs' on enemies from starts, fourth if it's true that Arkhe mechanism is not permanent and exclusive to Fontaine only then it's purely FOMO products.

honestly I feel like VV is the wrong move for her. She has very little capability to swirl due to long cooldowns, but she does have decent damage multipliers on her abilities tbh. Imo give her the new Wolf-Fang sword for the crit & EM + 2P VV/2P Desert Pav and it'll probably do more for her
As someone who got Lynette to c6 while pulling for Yelan but doesn't have Kazuha or Sucrose I'm quite happy to have her.

I have her at C3 rn and I plan to use her when I level her up cuz I like the attacks she uses. Hoping to get her c6 and Yelan since I'm at 58 pity
C0 with R5 Harbinger of Dawn, solid Crit artifacts and invested talents she definitely can bang. Grouping is definitely not as great, but combo-ed with Diona, Layla and Xing is very fun. Dual shields + healing to maintain HoD's bonus, and it's extremely respectable. Anything is good for F2P or whales, just depends on the dedication and investment.
i got her to c6 when i was pulling for yelan and im so happy tbh 😭
Luckily I had no trouble beating the Ice Couple boss with my regular team without using the ousia or pneuma.

I am f2p and i was saving pg like for 2 months. With around 20k primo i pulled for yelan and lost 50-50 to keqing. Then after next pity i got yelan and lucky me also got c6 Lynette.❤

The "counter a specific type of enemy" is probably bound to happen, since at this point, everyone has powerful characters built and can already clear every content with the rotation of 8 characters or something. Therefore incentive to pull for new characters would dwindle from a meta perspective, eg. why would i pull for Lyney when I already have a very well built Hutao.
Therefore new characters will either be powercreeps, or fill a more niche role, ie. countering an enemy mechanic, providing a specific type of utility, etc
The direction sucks, but that's kinda how it goes with gachas if they want you to keep pulling.
It's better than power creeping every old unit every couple of patches. Honestly think about it. Venti used to be the CC God but they added heavy enemies to nerf that level of power. But then we have Kazuha on of the most broken units to exist in the games life span he pretty much power creeped Venti. Imagine if every time a new Anemo Character was released they were better than Kazuha? Pulling for him would have felt like a waste. Adding new mechanics to the game that only a certain characters can use changes how we look at characters going forward.

You do them and you have fun with Fontaine events. Then? Here comes the best part. YOU OPEN UP THE WISH PAGE. Guess what? After all the new (free to play) primogems you have gotten, u can do a ten pull, even more. You do it. Now 2 things could happen for you. You can get bennet, one of the best 4 stars, Barbara who is now rlly good for bloom teams, or LYNETTE, this new cool ousia character that u would never want to miss out on. Not just that, if you’re adventure rank 26 or above, u get another or a FREE lynette. But that’s not it. You also get a FREEEEE BENNETTTTT. The goat himself. The probably one of the 3 best 4 stars with the best c1 you can get it freee. Now the 2nd thing that could happen for you, is you could get, A 5 STARRRRRRRRRR. U can wish for yelan, one of the best 5 stars in the game. Or even better, U COULD GET LYNEYYYY. THE NEW COOL 5 STAR FONTAINE CHARACTER. Also, seems to be an extremely strong one. I'd be very happy about mechanics with dedicated counters in 4* characters if they were freely obtainable. And I don't mean like the rotating 6-month shop, or like "if you login/do this through this patch" events type of thing. I mean it as in make them obtainable (even if just at C0) for free at any time. Make the companion quest give them to you, for example (which would also be quite thematic).
But since we know how painful it can be to obtain 4*s in this game, I'm not looking forward for mid units that are hard counters for a specific boss being hidden behind a paywall.

Just doing the hunter set domain I can tell that the arkhe system is going to make certain enemies a lot easier to deal with, do I like a forced shift in roster choice, sure, so I like it in this way? Ehhh, still I think the enimies are far from too challenging without it, some just have a kinda agro attack pattern and stunning them would be great

Ousia damage counters hopefully wont be a thing in Abyss moving forward. Sure, its nice to have easy bosses that are easily winnable with the mechanic, but its gonna be a huge pain if you bring one character specifically to counter one mechanic in Abyss 12's 6 floors, because if the character has little to no synergy with the team, that means the remaining 3 characters are gonna be needing a higher artifact threshold to perform.
Lyney's charge attack does do Pneuma dmg as well so it is not just Lynette's skill

EDIT 2: Hydro traveler also has the pneuma dmg added into the end half of there skill aswell though I beleave it is light so Lynette would be the only dark right now
It would have made much more sense imo to make overload or shatter disable the robots, so players would have had an incentive to use those otherwise undesirable reactions. They could have still sold new characters by making their kits around those reactions like Nilou for bloom.
New mechanics attract players. If they didnt have this new mechanic, suddenly the new hydro characters arent any different than the OG hydro. Suddenly the region has no new gameplay...it wouldve been another monstadt which is a boring af town that requires next to nothing.

I used to have xiangling in linette's slot, But with the new fontain mechanic her E is verry usefull (also sac. sword IMO is better then fav since you can proc
the ousia damage twice so if there's multiple enemies you can disable more then when you use fav)
and she can wear a different artifact set. becayse kazuha is on VV.. Could be anything TBH

I'm kinda new to the game, just started Inazuma and I have a question, got Yelan and a C4 Lynette in the process, I have a C0 Sucrose that helps a lot, it's a good idea to use her *Lynette* instead? While i don't have more constellations for Sucrose.

Forgot about Ousia mechanics and dancing boss, Vivianne of the Lake (Tainted Water Spouting Phantasm) is the real boss. It has chonky HP and it hit like a truck. I haven't seen a single enemies harder to kill than those world elite mob, this include World Boss and Weekly Boss. I need at least 3 rotation to kill this elite mob with my best Abyss team. 😢
Gonna be honest...the underwater 'bosses' /unique enemies felt harder than most of the world bosses we've been getting for a while now (including Copella in this update....didn't do the male version yet as I was after mats for Lynette) but that was mainly due to the fact underwater combat is....kinda meh and I didn't realize some mechanics of holding down the skill for the shield power (if you get hit while holding it it powers up the attack....was doing about 2K on a crab unique enemy and the HP bar was going down by like 1% per hit and was wondering how the hell do you beat this frigging thing/was there some way to upgrade damage for underwater attacks and then i go the tutorial on the shield ability you get from crabs and it more or less told me holding R2 (i use controller) increases the damage and boy it does it by quite a bit...goes from like 2.4K damage to 28K damage instead lol. The Manta Ray ability is the most damaging though even without holding it down and of coruse is mainly the one you want to fight manta ray unique enemies with and the sonar attack from the seals is of course useful on the seal unique enemies (when I say Unique enemies I mean enemies of that type but are stronger than the average mob of their type).
I will give Hoyoverse credit for 1 thing though: underwater movement feels good at least...in fact I'd say it's probably the best underwater movement I've played to date and it feels much much faster than when you're walking around on land (even when not dash swimming or using currents)...combat's meh like I said, workable at least and has nothing unique to it as all characters fight the same way underwater (should've done something to change up how characters of different weapon types fought underwater at least) but at least it doesn't feel slow like I thought it'd be from watching the livestream a couple weeks ago (unless they sped up movement at the last moment).

Obviously part of a game devs job is to create a problem and then sell you the solution but there needs to be some degree of separation between the two so that it's not so ham-handed. When they do things like this where I character has no advantage over another except for this single mechanic it means they can make all Fontaine characters less powerful in exchange for giving them this mechanic, And furthermore, we have no confirmation of how this mechanic might be applied in areas outside of Fontaine or if it will at all and if it isn't then that means lots of Fontaine characters will be for Fontaine only meaning they are trying to limit us using characters in every nation and rather getting specific characters for a specific nations enemies which is just super super greedy and they were already greedy enough

So... while pulling for Lynette cons and hoping for a Yelan, I lost my 50/50 to Keqing. It was my first time using Keqing but I've seen a lot of guides about her already. I know Kirara was really great in a Keqing team due to Keqing wanting teammates with fast rotations, but I didn't expect how well Lynette would fit Keqing's team too. She actually fits perfectly on a Kazuha team.
Also, stocking team is pretty good. Just slap Keqing, Mona, Lynette, and Fischl together. I definitely recommend for other stockings enjoyer like me 🤣

I feel like she would be a great addition to the game if her burst snappshots, she would be good on the 3 anome core with Faruzan + Anemo DPS + Lynette, but not snapshoting bennet is a big down on that team...

I like Lynnette because I'm on my first week of play and I can actually ascend her without unlocking the Fontaine map. At least past level 20. I have a Kuki that I can't ascend at all past 20 until I get to her part of the map to get the flowers.
Still Kuki is a badass, ascended or not lol. At least at my level (AR30)
The amazing thing about Lynette is that the cat hat deals both anemo and (pyro/electro/hydro/cryo) damage at the same time. This means that in a hutao team, you can swirl her pyro activating vv res debuff while simulatenously being a mini yelan (that fixes occasional accidents whereby pyro becomes applied onto the enemy before yelan's cube attacks hit, AS WELL AS proccing another VV res debuff). Yelan + Lynette also runs insanely fast.
