Maksym Kuzinov: Russian pilot who defected to Ukraine with an MI-8 helicopter,to be rewarded by Kyiv

- A Russian pilot who had defected to Ukraine with an Mi-8 helicopter will receive a substantial reward of half a million dollars for changing sides and taking Russia’s military equipment with him. Ukraine’s military intelligence spokesman, Andriy Yusov, said on Ukrainian television that the money would be paid in the national currency…and has also called on other Russian military personnel to follow suit and defect to Kyiv’s side. Maksym Kuzminov, a 28-year-old Russian helicopter pilot, surrendered to Ukraine last month, bringing with him an Mi-8 helicopter and stolen fighter jet spare parts. Kuzminov served in the “319th separate helicopter regiment” based in Russia’s Far Eastern Primorye region. His arrival in Ukraine marked the end of a 6-month secret defection plot he had worked out with Ukraine, which involved moving his family out of Russia. Ukraine's Parliament had started the "I want to live" initiative in April 2022 encouraging Russian soldiers to surrender and offering them up to $1 million for stolen equipment. Ukraine has an official list of rewards for Russian soldiers who defect with military equipment such as aircraft and heavy weapons.

yeah you should do an update video on him and his wealth now 🙇 🙇
Yup
He was shot today in Spain.
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
PAID BY CIA, U.S TAX $$$$$$$
He is a traitor, doesn't matter which side he fought for. If money can buy his loyalty, can he actually be trusted?
His check was just cashed.
He was a traitor.
They dont trust him. That why they just released him to spain
He is not getting money for helicopter?? Don't know if $500k is enough for killing your friends.
Traitor got stitches
No mercy to traitors period.
He got his reward today from russia ...
😂😂
I don't care which side he was on I just feel that what he did is absolutely disgusting and selfish.. coward got his crew killed when they trusted him. I hope he gets what is coming for him.
He was killed today in Spain with five bullets.

Any traitor to the national interest , when caught will received death sentences.... full stop
Nationalistic interests of putin and his gang, not Mother Russia, you want to say. There are true Russians and there are brainwashed ruϟϟians. See the difference?
You should know that soldiers should not follow criminal orders. And according to russian law invasion is punishable 20 years in prison. Those that are commiting war crimes are traitors
Just like Nazi Germany. If their armies defect, then no one would ever mind. Pilot is a very smart guy not to entertain Putler's ego.
Russia couldn't catch a cold ffs😂

Don't care what side, soldiers who would defect for money and even let their crew get killed in the process, deserve the worst punishment possible. I don't think there is any worse form of betrayal than a soldier selling out his crew and country for money.
First, the pilot doesn't believe that Putin's war with Ukraine is justified, hence the betrayal. Second, the pilot's comrades could very likely execute him on the spot, in the helicopter, if he let them know of his plan. So he is a genius by saying, "I went off course and landed in Ukrainian territory". His crew comrades panic and flee, then he surrenders as planned. Genius.
Yes his crew had no idea and died to save himself the worst betrayal. He should get nothing
@@xyumyaaj9576so he takes other soldiers and if they defect too what happens to their families?
@@Winglets68 they can surrender and be exchanged back to russia.
@@xyumyaaj9576 Genius? The fat pig brought two patriots to their death
I hear he's dead
Rip🕊️
Oath Breaker - if he had honor he would have defected by himself, instead he brought two loyal Russian soldiers with him to a Ukrainian airfield where they were surrounded and died fighting !
Those two soldiers are true warriors.
Ukrainians are blinded by that detail. They now have a coward and traitor fighting for them, he could of spared those two men's lives he was they're captain but he flew them right into the base. Showing off about it in interviews, most likely sacrificed his family too back in Russia. But hey that mi8 helicopter is worth lots of money too.
Full of disgust for this traitor
He and his family will not survive for long coz it's not the first time and it's not the last time
As a Russian soldier he wouldn't live for long to...glory to ukraine

Because he doesn’t know he will mobilized by Kyiv soon. Hopefully he doesn’t get shut down. Pretty sure ZoV boys will be nice.
You forgot to say that he killed the helicopter crew on the way while fleeing to Ukraine. He must have been extremely stupid if he thought he would live long after that.
Ah yes my tax dollars going to good use
Bro got 2 of his homies killed by landing LOL
He has joined them 😂
From the TV series M*A*S*H episode Foreign Affairs, Season 11
"April 27, General Mark Clark, head of United States Forces, Far East, offered $50,000 American to any and all enemy pilots landing a Soviet built jet in good condition in friendly territory. Plus an additional 50 big ones to the one who's first.
And he also gets a free trip to the States plus American citizenship."
This invitation may be found in all wars.
Regardless of the flag, nobody respects traitors. He wont live long
At least have honor
What honor? He betrayed his man and his country, there's no honor in thqt@@DreaBe
Ihanetin bedelini Ödemiş.
A smart man👏👏👏👍
Maybe english isnt your first language. So im assuming youre confusing the word smart with cowardly.
A cowardly man 👏👏👏👍*
There I fixed it.
A smart man doesnt lead fellow soldiers to their unknowingly deaths. The best thing about this story was those russian soldiers didnt follow the cowards lead, but instead refused to surrender even while unarmed and went out with their dignity, honor, integrity and courage. No matter what side you take in the war, leading your supposed comrades to death is disgusting. If it was a Ukraine soldier that did this Id say the same thing, war is always ugly and this makes it even more pathetic.
@@bobbygalyon5580 a little coward, scared and pitiful man like Purin, hiding in the bunker in the Kremlin, says it all. Zelenskyj or Navalnjy have balls that Putler does not.
He's so smart he's no more 😂
Russian SU-57 Felon pilot: Hmm, if he got $500,000 for his little helicopter, I wonder how much I will get if I defect in a 5th Generation Russian fighter jet? I should at least get 10x times ($5M) the amount for my defection, plus women, a Ferrari and a nice house, and medical as well!!! :D

The Ukrainian Army practically repeats the impossible actions of Stalin's Red Army of the 1940 Winter War against Finland. Mannerheim's Line was impenetrable. Red Army broke through anyway. Ukrainians are doing the same even without any air support. Putler obviously got his university diploma without studying any history books. Otherwise, he would remember one simple thing: the backbone of the Moscow Kingdom army, the Russian Imperial Army, the Red Army, and the Soviet Army had always been Cossacks. They fought for the Motherland everywhere from European Alps to Alaskan Cordillera, and from the Arctic Coast to Persia and Manchuria. All Ukrainians are Cossacks. Ruϟϟian mobilization conscripts are not.
ukrainian people stopped nazis. and will do so again.
A coward betrayer. He won't live long enough to enjoy his $500,000
May Maksim be an example for Russian people

Stupid shit
He fuking betrayed and killed his comrades for $500000
A triator? Who killed two of their mates? Yeah, look up to that garbage
I guess he‘s not.
5 rounds🤔
They should have given him a lifetime security detail or he should have stayed in Ukraine to fight Putin’s forces.
they can't even give this to it citizens.. he should have moved to a village in India or a tribe in the amazon
They wacked that oligarch. Who the fuck do this asshole think he is
