One of the things that always cracks me up about Pat Buttram is that his neck ties are always tied wrong, so that the narrow end hangs way below the wide end of the tie.
I watched this when new. When I was a child, I had paper dolls of mr. & mrs. Douglas, the figures of them were really thick cardboard, glossy, and brightly colored. It came with alot of their clothes from the show, the paper cutouts having fold-over tabs along the edges, as all paper doll clothes had. That Witman company made it, they produced alot of paper doll sets and coloring books back then. The Green Acres paper doll set cost more than normal for paper doll sets, probably because it was of a TV show, & exceptionally made.
I had "Josie and the Pussycats " paper dolls. My mom would not get me the "Green Acres " paper dolls cause they cost more. I felt deprived for years. You were a lucky kid.
Thanks for commenting! Do you mind if I ask, where do you live now? With all that has been going on in that part of the world this year (and without saying which side I am on), I'm just curious what your thoughts are on the subject, since you grew up in Russia, or if you would rather not comment on that, I completely understand. Thanks again for your comment!

"Including the fife player." That's rich!
Disappointed they never had the fife player perform a duet with Ralph Monroe on the buggle.
“Including the fife player.” Another example of the show breaking the fourth wall. This show was known for inside jokes and breaking the fourth wall.
I don't believe this is happening. I'm gonna wake up. Eddie cracked me up. He was in some good movies.
Seen every episode on MeTV.
Arnold's fingerprint kit lol
Green. Acres. 😊😊👍
Classic.
If I lost 3 million dollars I would faint.
He lost 3 hundred not 3 million
@@Lewis9709 Yes, but inflation...
@@eeddieedwards3890I just Googled it for the heck of it, and adjusted for inflation, $300 in 1968 would be the equivalent of about $2,700 in 2024.
They must have had that fife player on retainer.
I just saw this scene now, May 17, 2024. When was this sent?😮
If you are asking when this episode of Green Acres first aired, it was November 20, 1968.
Writers had to be smoking mass quantities of weed.
👍
Why must everyone always take drugs to have talent. Jay Sommers and Dick C. were just very talented men, I'm sure drugs had nothing to do with it.
My family has the “goofy gene” going back a couple of generations. No intoxicating substances needed.
I do drugs and am a very successful comedy writer, than you very much! Now back to mom’s basement.
Or just plain old GENIUS WRITING!!
😂
LOVE PAT BUTTRAM WITH ALL MY HEART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
when we said MR
