This was an amazing record. I mean really great this is a five star record and the only reason it wasn’t well known is that they did some things to deliberately toned down it’s pop qualities like the unorthodox structure of this song for example, and of course it was on a record label that isn’t tied into the machine. But if you haven’t heard this record from start to finish please buy it it’s one of the best records of the era.
In the canteen down at Columbine with the bags they never found Striking matches up at Waco when they burnt it to the ground Without me, Oklahoma wasn't possible at all See my silhouette in the Super 8 around the grassy knoll
Lol. I look after a group of anarchists every day now they are getting into old age. I love the fact that they tell me things that would never be allowed now. Forget Saga, live your old age to the full, they went through the war, spouses dying and children too, no satisfactory water cleanliness and so the old illnesses of tuberculosis, cholera and flu. They cannot understand vaccinations as they all got mumps, measles and all the other childhood diseases were necessary to prevent you from getting them when you were growing into adulthood.
we lurve vaccinations marge, there can't be anything wrong with them cos they give them to newborn children and infants across the world so they must be safe...what was that silly rumour about the kind helpful mercury based preservative thimerosal in all jabs? these hippies make up such stories when they're stoned ;-)
I'm just gonna list the events mentioned in the song that I recognize -9/11 Terrorist Attacks -The Moon Landing (obvious) -John F. Kennedy's Assassination (obvious) -The Columbine High School Massacre -The Waco Siege -The Oklahoma City Bombings
Why are they not all marked as (obvious) when they all explicitly name the event in question in the lyrics? 9/11 you get some leeway cos they only they reference a plane, but the others are literally directly named. Just wondering, really. Some less obvious ones were Princess Diana's death and the Iraq war.
Un was a welcome return to a poppier sound after the chillout of the Readymades era, but although it has its gems, Un is not a particularly strong record overall. If they were to return to a classic Chumba pop record, I'd rather it was more reminiscent of Anarchy than WYSIWYG. But Un does hold a special place in my heart for being the last from the full electric band
Right! I totally distrust news and never listen to all the bullshit they say! When on youtube I come across some bullshit news I watch it just to leave a comment trying to warn people not to believe any word!
That was in the original studio version. here are the original lyrics: Taking scissors to play cut up with the black vote down in Florida; coloured pens and glitter glue for sexing up the dossier. I'm the someone who knew something they're not telling pre-September. I lean on people in the loop to help them un-remember
From the lyrics "In the canteen down in Columbine with the bags they never found" - Another song from the same album "We Don't want to Sing Along" is specifically about Columbine.
Reverend Howl I'm pretty sure it's referring to the Columbine High School Massacre in 1999 since it said "In the *canteen* down at Columbine with *bags* they never found" and the original plan Harris and Klebold (the shooters) had was to plant two *bags* filled with a 20lb propane tank bomb in the cafeteria, which can be referred to as a *canteen* , of the school in order to kill the students within.
Justin Perry They aren't curse words. They're making it look like this song has been messed with in order to withhold information mentioned in it. "There's a verse missing out of this song." Government censorship is what the song is about.
Why is this song not famous? I am circulating this among my friends.
becoming better with time

I knew the chumbas in the 80's and they are usually spot on. No reason to dispute their intelligence.

I'm sorry that i'm replying to your post two years too late, but I love the band. I'm hitting fifty , but I've found a new love for anarchy

Tom Daby it's never too late to love chumba. I still love them. they made music for everyone and no one, they are amazing.
I'm 58 and the "syndrom" got me in my 50th as well !!!... Keeps us young and curious... I guess 🤔
He couldn't wrap his mind around how amazing it is.
Frank Zappa was an amazing musician 👍
Wonderful
I think this is quite possibly the funniest song I've heard in years
Yet...It's the most true and serious at the same time. So funny that it's not funny...there's a ________ missing out of this song.
Yesss, you knew and it is all comi g out now!
I cant' explain why but i get a real This is Serious, Mum vibe from this song. Especially towards the end.
Omg another TISM fan
Yeah TISM never took off in the UK so these are TISM but if they protested more and weren't anonymous
Great tune
So true text and nice music!
Nice one.... "Still never gave up" Never will!

GreenDay1981 Cuz censorship is one of the themes of the song
@@GreenDay1981 because a verse is missing out of the song, aren't you listening?
So i was like dancing in my chair swaying along....then everthing i know went wrong?

"Kennedy's brain in a jar..."
Nobody could get away with saying something like this about Trump.
Reverend Howl how great is that image though donald trumps brain jar bragging to george washingtons brain in a jar about how great a president he was.
Alternative fact - so smart.
"Trump's brain in a jar"

I think the missing verse is the weird al verse
Awesome cool timely.
This album it's not on Spotify :(
@elchicoaporico actually if "everything you know is wrong" is wrong than "something you know is correct" LogicTroll :)

Unbelievable for a dyslexic.
I swear this had under 10k views when I watched it last. 😕
Lol, Nevermind I was looking at the video on their official page
Just posted this on Donald Trump's facebook, that's me fucked for the Florida holiday then.
Weird Al has a song with the same title, those two dislikes are Al Fans who have no sense of Sardonic humor!
Blackfish led me here
Ser Brynden Tully ?

Truu (or?)
is it just me or are parts of this sung by Arthur Kirkland?
@nox5555 Yes Frank Zappa
Warum redet da am Anfang jemand ?
Why is this in a columbine playlist? 😂 talk about misinformation

Columbine massacre 1927?
Reverend Howl

Emmy Lynn they do mention Columbine in the lyrics. 😺😺
why is ther the bleep sound over curse words
Justin Perry They aren't curse words. They're making it look like this song has been messed with in order to withhold information mentioned in it. "There's a verse missing out of this song." Government censorship is what the song is about.
es scheint wie eine Radio-Show
will always be true
Huh?

This may be a dumb question, but are the censored out curse words part of the song or put in by who made this vid?
Part of the song
The fuck is supergrass?
