Why are the sides of the Great Granny quilt inside border 2 3/4 inch and the top and bottoms 2 1/2 inch. Why not the same width?

Hi there! Lori Holt designed the border widths that way in order so that the Middle Border of the quilt (the rows of diamonds) would fit. Hope that answers your question, let me know if you have more!
