Antonio Great video my friend, thank you for sharing this. I just watched your video on the cape wrath I am going to do that soon, the MSR ACCESS tent how are you getting on with this tent ?

Thank you! l'm happy you enjoy my videos. When it comes to the Access 2, I pretty much like it. While doing the SUW it took very heavy rain and even heavier winds. I didn't manage to capture the worst of it (as l was focused on not flying away), but you can see a bit of what it took here: ua-cam.com/video/B0TBDTCfnDw/v-deo.html
Other than the weight and the fact that it pitches inner first (although you can do a workaround and pitch the rainfly first), I'd say it's a good tent and it offers enough space for 2 and lots of it for just 1 (great for winter camping). An alternative to it, although I haven't tried it myself, is the MLD Duomid. l'm considering getting one myself in order to cut some weight.
I'll be doing the CWT again in October with the Access 2. When are you planing to do it?

@@alwaysforwardyt Just watched that link you sent , it does look very stable in the wind, did you have any bad condensation problems ? yeah I was looking at the duo-mid my self and the lunar solo but I do like the MSR tents. I am doing the west highland way next week then on to the great glen way these are on 5/6days once these are complete the CWT is next :) but I am trying to AVOID the midges haha

@@craigy4306 The Access 2 is very stable on high winds. The poles will flex inwardly but that's what they're designed to do (i.e. by flexing they absorb the wind's energy, thus avoiding breaking), then they bounce back to normal position.
When it comes to condensation, l'm also very happy with its performance. I had to camp in a swamp a few times while doing the SUW (besides a river and while raining, to make matters worse) and the only thing that happened is the bottom of my sleeping bag got a bit wet (l packed it next morning and used it again the following night no problem. It was raining, l couldn't dry it off). So nothing major. Besides, after that happened, l used one of my dry bags to wrap the bottom of the sleeping bag: problem solved. Absolutely zero condensation problems while doing the CWT with my wife.
Enjoy the WHW and bear in mind the CWT play in its own league (l can't stress this enough).

Just sat down with a coffee to watch this series Antonio, looks like tough going.

Oh my, you're set to watch only my worst videos! 🤦😅 This's literally my 'very first' video. Initially, l was filming the stuff just to show it to my wife! Could you please not watch the "Pennine Way," "West Highland Way" or, if you like adventure, my Nordkalottleden videos? // l'm happy to see you came back for more, it really motivates me to keep doing videos! Thank you!

@@alwaysforwardyt I like these ones, they have a very honest, unpolished feel to them. They’re very raw. Like your feet! 😂 I love Erik Normark films too by the way. 👍🏼

@@dougieranger l admit, l can see why people may like them. The production quality is 'UA-cam average' (quite bad), but it was my very 1st thru-hike (and wild-camping) and l was looking at things (and reacting to them) with fresh eyes. Even l find it entertaining. What a noob l was! 😅
Erik is my favourite youtuber. l keep recommending his channel. l dedicated what l thought to be my best movie to him, the Kungsleden videos (a Swedish trail, of course). He has a very specific niche; l hope l find my own one day, too 😊
l have a few videos that are a bit "Erik style," like "Duomid in the Snow," "Wild Camping by the Garlies Castle" and "Off-grid Cabin in Winter"... l hope you enjoy them!

@@alwaysforwardyt I am certain I will enjoy them. I used to say that Erik’s films were a little bit of peace in a world gone mad.
My package from France arrived today, Hilleberg Enan, additional pole, footprint, Tarp5 and Y pegs… 😁 I’m waiting on a HyperLite delivery from the USA now. 👍🏼

@@dougieranger Do let me know if you watch some of them (l value feedback a lot as it helps me improve). l agree with your statement about Erik's videos. // That tent looks AWESOME! l actually think a friend of mine has it. Isn't it this one? ua-cam.com/video/UlPKEP9tkag/v-deo.html If it is, he has pitched the tent in northern Scandinavia (proper winter camping) and he's very happy with it. The tent took very strong winds and tones of snow! // My wife came from the US this morning. l got my delivery from the US, too! 😍 Hyperlite... did you get a backpack from them?
