This really is the best conversion I've seen. Your attention to detail and thorough planning are evident in every photo. The only things I would change are minor, stylistic touches, which are personal choices anyway. What a great build, and an excellent example for anyone to follow. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Your exceptional use of wood, from the wall panels to the cabinetry, and to my favourite detail, the curtain pelmet cover, is truly inspired! You've created a beautiful, comfortable and cosy cabin full of character and charm, one which will accompany you on your travels, so that wherever you are, you'll always be home and get to sleep in your own bed! Thank you for sharing your build and fit out, it was highly enjoyable and quite inspirational, and your wee dog is a real sweetie!
Bob I love what you have done my only gig is I would like an inside shower but I could live in it ...let me tell you a short story of my ruffing it my late husband built a 20X20 got cabin in the woods using a chain saw he planned on expanding the place but god had other plans but he built a standard shower on back of our cabin and rigged a square bucket on top drilled holes on one side filled it with water and we showered and went to bed clean every night during our construction it’s funny how you can adapt and make things work thank you for sharing you build is beautiful and keep on having fun and enjoyment. God bless you on your adventures
Tremendous amount of work. Very neat and great attention to details. The kitchen is bigger than a lot of apartments. The funny part is u would be on display right in the middle of the kitchen doing your job -- what a sight for sore eyes. Only change I'd make is to cover up with a sheet or something. haha
This is a super conversion. It is the best I have seen yet. That said; If you would take that trailer out West you will find that the Forest Service campgrounds have no electricity and maybe a common use pit toilet and a common water spigot, with no threads. It is almost like boondocking. I wonder how you would build if you had to use propane? Thanks for your great photos.
Just sold my popup camper and purchased an enclosed cargo trailer and converted it into a mobile haberdashery/camper. So far so good. Wish I could show you pictures. However this conversion is awesome!
For me, you made every opposite decision from the one I would have made, and I still think it is gorgeous and handy. :-) You are a true master craftsman.
this unit is by far the nicest conversion I have seen ! everything is impeccable ! the only desire my wife would have is to put in a shower inside otherwise i have made my final decision to build one of these just like this !! excellent work !!
Such talent 👍 God Bless each and every mile with safety and very Happy memories. I truly enjoyed watching this progress and the finished project. You should be proud... it truly is amazing & I love it 💜💜
I use steel studs wherever I can.. Less weight, easier to work with (if you know how) and faster w/no eventual warping or splitting joints.. The stained bead board is nice for now, but will become increasingly darker over time and OK if that is your choice.. Reminds me of finished basements complete with barroom..!! In addition, all my outlets are quads instead of single duplex.. All the beautiful woodwork and you have to leave the railer to take a shower..?? I install a 5' shower base (best), 4' while workable is tight, put the toilet in the shower area & mount a sink on the opposite wall (shower drain)... Poop, shower and shave or general washup...
I am curious how you determined your layout so that your trailer weight would be safe. I was looking at doing a similar layout in my conversion, but I’m having a hard time in terms of weight distribution. The info I have read suggests that tongue weight should be about 15%, rear portion (behind axle) weight 40%, and front portion (in front of axle) weight 60%. Any comments on this?
Lot of nice idea's I like the angle-brackets and wood for mounting.. What brand or where did you get the work-platform? Do you recommend the one you have?
Lol. Your thumbnail looks like a dog's head mounted on the wall of your trailer. Sorry but it looks hilarious. On the serious side, nice job on your build. Really good job.
Love the trailer! I have the same AC unit as you do and a 6x12 Conversion we are finishing in stages. How loud is the AC unit for you? It was very loud for us last time we used it. Made us only want to use it we absolutely necessary.
There is tremendous need for cheap well build mobile stealth housing in big cities. "rif raff or "homeless" out of sight, not outside. Cities should impress this tiny practical living option & plan in the parking w/permit for any1 who ask 1 month to 3 month sticker if u r making less than $15k or current slave min wage at 40 per week ck.
cody modes I'm not affiliated with this guy's UA-cam channel but I'm pretty familiar with trailers. If you buy from dealers down in the middle of Douglas Georgia. you can usually get a 24 foot long by 8 and 1/2 wide race car strip down trailer beavertail 3 or for foot inside rear end is a slope. Beavertail is what they call it. Race Car rear trailer drop down door 7000 pounds gross capacity dual axle for $3,850. or $3,950. All of the inside race car trailers are about 76 or 77 in tall. Wow cargo had a 34-foot long by 8 and 1/2 wide strip down. triple axle race car trailer same similar features with a 32-inch side door for $6,100. you have to pick it up though. I don't really know the prices on these smaller trailers. A few years ago I saw a small enclosed trailer one with a roof vent broken and a little bit of water inside for about $1,250. on clearance at Lowe's a 6 by 12 or a 6 and 1/2 by 12, 32 inch side door and barn doors or drop-down rear door I can't remember the back door. It was a single axle. If you get last year's model or two years older model they are cheaper usually. And these boys and Georgia will definitely negotiate is bad as the economy is. And there's probably 15 or 20 to dealers and about 18 trailer manufacturers down there that build them. In the middle of Georgia is the cheapest place in America I could find these trailers at. I've had to buy several of them. And I'm converting an 8' x 32' inside dimension. triple axle strip down race car trailer myself. It's not as heavy as everyone thinks it's 4800 pounds empty.
This size is fine option 2 axles door & barn or ramp rear, just right minimal housing per person city permitted housing for poor, park here ck in every 1month-3month for new sticker. JBM/God
NO,NO, DT tell me the commode is under the kitchen counter ! ? That I could not deal with ! I'm hoping to see a real bathroom ! Everything done so far is wonderful! But no bathroom ! ? What do you do if company comes , ? Maybe I missed something ! Rather have an outhouse LOL .
the beaded vinyl soffit was a great idea. gave up a lot of potential storage at the back unfortunately. sure as hell could do without the religious bullshit though.
It is beautiful. Wish you had talked, answered some questions for us. The constant flashing angles and repeat shots were making me feel a little ill... just too rapid for my absorption. What was size of cargo trailer?

Outstanding production. Nevermind the crazy workmanship. Five stars.
Hands down the best conversion I've seen. GREAT JOB!!
This is perfect. The most amassing piece of workmanship I have ever seen of a cargo trailer conversion. Beautiful.
I like the bead board ceiling and wall paneling. Well thought out plan. Nice work.

Nicest conversion on UA-cam.
nice work. we are completing our 8.5x20 right now!
Awesome build!
I think they like the signs and animal hooks more than the workmen ship. Please show more of the workmanship.
Really nicely done.
Beautiful job!
what is the weight of this trailer?
Better than any travel trailer I have seen! Just awesome job! Can you let us know the weight and cost of your build please?

Lot of nice idea's I like the angle-brackets and wood for mounting..

This is really cool! Love it
I have seen a lady that took one with a ramp an modified it to a flip down porch. It had double doors behind that added.
Now do another one .... O.K. ? ha, ha. You do it the best. !!

Absolutely beautiful

12:43 what is the counter top made of - I love it!
squidly1117 looks like the flooring

Amazing nice. Thank you for your help.
Well done.

Wow!

Uh, "V" nose? I think not.
Why not V nose ? I'm thinking of doing a conversion, is there some wrong with V nose I may not be aware of ?
Not bad but only one window.
Nice, I bet your in the wrong profession .
For a 26 min vid, should have some commentary.
You should try that.
