@@AdamFoyston Hola. I have suggestions, in deed, I am preparing a PowerPoint to explain the basics to my colleages. Maybe I can share it with you with a link to my Google drive.

Focus on Force, Trailhead and youtubers take for granted that everybody knows the basics. Salesforce Admin certification is not only for programmers/IT guys, and sometimes people don't even know what is Salesforce (is a hard concept to explain), what is it's purpurse., what is the problem that the different clouds resolve, the certification path to follow in order to have a succesful carreer. I hope I can help you to help. :)

Yes I agree. That has been my approach with the channel, to help those starting out in Salesforce (new to it) or those progressing a career to the next level. Glad to hear the content is of help.

Hi there. Slides look great. I would suggest that if the aim of the presentation is to convince people to move to Cloud-based technology and specifically Salesforce, and the presentation is to salespeople or executives in the business that are NOT very technical, I would not include the slide that talk about PaaS or Network technolgies. Focus instead on the highlights in the first slides (why cloud CRM makes sense compared to installed software, security, cost of maintenance, etc). I would also replace one of the slide pictures with this picture that best gives an illustration of Salesforce products and tools available for this '360 for the customer' www.salesforce.com/news/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2020/12/DF2U_Customer360.png
The other thing I would add is that the aim of Salesforce is to have one place/system/platform, accessible anywhere, that focusses on enabling a '360 degree view of the Customer',...so that, not matter if you are a marketeer, salesperson, serviceperson, call centre staff or warehouse, you'll be able to all see the same up-to-date information about that customer. Even the customer themselves if you enable 'Salesforce Experience' by creating a customer portal to see information on thier account, like 'where my order is, and 'how to pay' , etc.
Other than that, you've done a good job. Well done :)

You should do a Udemy course. You explain things really well. Thanks!

Great idea! Any suggestions of what might work best? (e.g. Certification course, Flow basics to advanced, etc). Thanks!

@@AdamFoyston Certification course, for sure! I'm taking my Admin cert for the second time and it's been tough to learn coming from knowing nothing about SF. The Admin cert seems hard because it is so broad of a topic. I plan on moving onto a Developer cert since that's more of my forte'.

Yeah, the admin can be tricky unless you've played around in there for a few years or more and know where everything is and how it works. A certification course is a great idea. Yes, the developer one might be better for you if you have coding experience. Note on that, there are 'App Builder' certs that are for 'developers' but those focus more on the Salesforce tools (Process Builder, Flow, etc), and then there are more 'code-heavy' ones where you go into Apex, LWC (Lightning Web Components), etc. LWC will be a big thing for SF as these allow applications to be build that could existing in and outside of Salesforce. Anyway, it's a bit of a journey but once you have your head around the Sales Console and the general architecture, you'll be fine. Depending on what you want to do career wise, you could also go down a specific path too, like CPQ, Service, or Commerce? A niche helps you stand out a bit and can become a SME (subject matter expert) in that area.
