Thanks Nick, we are really enjoying the game, it is really unique. I know we were supposed to do a teach and play, but life got in the way. Maybe we should do it anyway after summer.
An interesting looking game with a mechanic I don’t think I’ve ever tried before (mancala). Unfortunately, I don’t see this game for sale anywhere in Canada, and it seems as though it never has been.
@@HomoLudens1871 Well that depends on how much you value nostalgia. I already have a monastery game - Ora et Labora. Though Pilgrim does seem very different mechanically.
I would love to try Ora et Labora. After having played Oranienburger Kanal and Glass Road, I would really like to see the first iteration of the wheel system.
Sounds like an great game, that just needed some tweaking on the rules and play aid setting. Nothing major and no doubt BBG will sort. For a small run game, I think that’s amazing
Clearly nothing major, and nothing you can't easily overcome. And what is left is a deep and unique gaming experience. I really enjoyed all my plays of this and I am looking forward to play more.
Nice review - I like the two person format.
I like to do those every time I can. I enjoy it a lot more too.
A very balanced 'warts and all' overview of Pilgrim. Thank you for taking the time to do this.

Yes, since I finished editing the video the publisher announced that they were totally out of stock.
Create enough hype with videos like this and maybe they’ll do a reprint!
It seems like some of the games I was playing a decade ago. Above all in theme and graphic design, but also in terms of mechanics.
Is it a good or bad thing?

Fred, looking at several recent videos your 'cheating' seems to be a regular occurrence!
Looks an interesting game.
