    I can't say for sure, but I believe the eye make up remover pads are just for that purpose vs full face makeup removal. For heavier eye make up, water proof make up etc. Things that regular cleanser might not break up. That is why pad size is smaller & I think they are drier to avoid seeping into the eyes. I'd say you would hold over eye area several seconds then gentle wipe.

    Hey Abbey! I love your reviews! Would you consiser leaving the little banner with the product name and price up the whole yime youre talking about it? Even if the product photo disappeared to be less obtrusive that would be nice. I'll admit I'm often cooking while I'm watching your videos and sometimes a particular comment you make will draw me back to check on the product and that would make it easier for me to just check and make a mental note

    I think the cerave cleanser is just a normal water based cleanser with oils added in. Applied to wet skin and then rinsed away so a second cleanse in the nighttime. It’s a bit misleading by cerave calling It an “oil cleanser” when it’s not your typical first cleanse. ❤

    • @AbbeyYung
      @AbbeyYung  11 місяців тому +36

      They actually intend for this to replace both the first and second cleanse! And it does work really well for that but I agree I don’t consider it an “oil cleanser” either

They are coming out with more products soon , but I just thought I'd mention it after you did the spf make up video, as the blush is beautiful and the spf is very good. Not sure if this helps but to save some $$ I just buy the oils themselves instead of “cleansing oils” as my first cleanse! My fav to use is jojoba oil or almond oil (I have combo/oily skin) and just have a big bottle of it as my first cleanse and they last forever. A lot of “cleansing oils” are overpriced ):

    I don’t know about the US, but Naturium in the UK is definitely not a drugstore brand. Its only sold at space NK and is too expensive to be called drugstore, definitely not to be in the same category as brands like ELF and Cerave

  • @montananerd8244
    @montananerd8244 11 місяців тому

    It is so easy to DIY a really good oil cleanse, the whole trend in the US initially started completely DIY (I've been doing the 2 step cleanse since like 2010). Not sure if it was inspired by asian beauty practices or just a natural next step in skincare. People who tried it raved about results, including myself, and recipes were shared & tweaked. But now almost all influencers are aggressively anti-DIY, but i really think it's ridiculous in this case, since it's very hard to hurt your skin with an oil blend and all the OG great results in the american beauty blogs & channels were DIY. And now that i have learned that the magic ingredient is mineral oil, which is what the 1980s makeup removers were often made of, I'm definitely never buying an overpriced, non-custom blend.

    • @montananerd8244
      @montananerd8244 11 місяців тому

      Oil blend = actual fat oils, not essential oils which are not actual oil most of the time. EOs can be great, but the easiest way to avoid potential problems in DIY is to skip EOs as a beginner. Typical ingredients are things like aloe, glycerin, food oils...none of these ingredients will ruin your skin in 99% of situations.

    Do you think that Elf spray sunscreen could be used to put hair along your hairline and part? I struggle with getting sunburnt on my part and I need a way to protect that part of my skin without wearing a hat all the time. Any recommendations?

    Hi Abbey, did you use the Cerave cleanser like in the instructions? On wet skin? Apparently some people are using it on dry skin like an (Asian) oil cleanser. I'm interested in this product and I'm curious how you used it because it looks like in the video your skin was dry before applying it, thanks!

    Obsessed with Pacifica. Their 25% peel is soo good. Naturium using Soybean oil? That’s terrible that not a good ingredient. Their sunscreens feel greasy for me too.

    I have some breakage at the top of my head and some in the hairline, I'm not sure what's causing it other than maybe I'm using gel too much? I use it once a week on my greasiest day to slick it into a claw clip. Maybe the claw clip? I changed it recently to a looser one so I hope it helps.

    • @JessDEdwards
      @JessDEdwards 11 місяців тому +2

      It very well could be new growth instead of breakage. Pay attention to what your hair looks like when it sheds. If it has a cuticle it's probably just new growth instead of breakage! ❤️ That's what my " breakage " ended up being.

      @@StonedSammieSueno problem! And don't freak out even if it is a little breakage. It seems like you're making changes and paying attention to your hair now, which is the most important thing! ❤❤❤

    Ive heard so many mixed reviews about the Naturium Marshmallow balm. Some people use it as a moisturizer and others use it like a sleeping mask or vaseline. Does it feel more like a mask type product or should it sink into your skin like a face cream?

    • @_SunscreenQueen_
      @_SunscreenQueen_ 8 місяців тому

      It’s a very plushy cream. I wanted to like it so much but it felt like a regular moisturizer. My mom however loves it. After chemical peels or procedures she uses the lotion like a serum and tops it off with the balm

    Back in the day, the only eye makeup remover pads I bought were - get this - Almay. Almay is an incredibly boring, underwhelming brand, but for the longest time I swore by their eye makeup remover pads. The oil free ones were always terrible but the ones for waterproof makeup were incredible. On par with my Bifacil Lancôme remover. It was weird. Not sure if they’re still that good but they used to be a hidden gem in a brand that was otherwise unremarkable and borderline awful.

    • @AuroraCarlisle
      @AuroraCarlisle 11 місяців тому

      Though considering the reviews now, it doesn’t look good. The regular MAC makeup remover wipes are still incredible though. If I’m in a pinch and need a wipe, I reach for those.
