Great idea regarding the books! You mentioned blog comments as well, but both seem a bit old-school to me. What about UA-cam comments? There are numerous tutorials on topics like project management, with thousands of comments from individuals struggling with the subject. Isn't this also a valuable resource? Watching videos is often the first step for DIY problem-solvers, right?
Depending on the engagement on the channel/video, there could be tons of quality Voice of Customer data in UA-cam comments, you're absolutely right! TONS of UA-cam searches start with "How to...", so there's a lot of people coming to the site looking to solve problems. The method to mining for Amazon reviews might not translate straight across the board, so we can't guarantee it will work as smoothly. However, if you're finding good Voice of Customer data in UA-cam comments, and you can get enough data to start forming a hypothesis, then there's no reason you can't test those out.
@Copyhackers I just did this afternoon :-) for the topic email marketing, but in German. My impression was that you can find a lot of problem stuff. Sadly, not so much about value.
It’s almost like you are picking the desires and pains that they use to describe thier situation right back at them, entering the internal dialogue that they are already having inside their heads… it’s powerful stuff I’m currently trying to do my portfolio without experience, Amazon reviews are a highly underrated research platform, Struggling with my portfolio tho as I am making up a made up client.
Voice of Customer data in a nutshell. This is the power of proper research vs being a "wordsmith" that gets paid at a lowly rate that immediately puts you in competition with Upwork, Fiverr, and the client's neighbour's son who does graphic design, copywriting, and lawn maintenance.
@@Copyhackers haha, 100%! Loved your video btw, it’s always good to see copywriters doing actual copy, I also like Copy Squad on UA-cam, they also produce bangers!
This. Is. GOLD. Thank you!
