I listened to this song to build my confidence up before I kissed my girlfriend for the first time. We've been married for 8 years now. Thanks Jonny, couldn't have done it without you my dude.
I somehow forgot about this. I jammed it for months and months back during myspace days, I even illegally downloaded it and burned it onto a cd fuuuuuuuuuggggggg. I'm so glad it's here. TAKE ME BACK.
+bullant71 No problem! I think what makes this one sound a bit different is the keyboard in this version. You can make out it way easier. Also the pretty sick breakdown.
idk how i didn't know this existed. definitely late to the emarosa game but holy COW ... this album and their self titled are honestly some of my absolute favorite albums ever made. this demo is fucking insane. thank u!
Some of the most rock n roll music ever made. I didn’t stream Relativity until 2021. And since then I’ve considered it one of the most excelling piece of work ever recorded. Remember. These guys didn’t have to do this but they created this . Craig laid down some of the illest vocals ever on this album.
@@phxcdemoarchive the vocals of course are once in a life time. The instrumentals are mint as well. The instrumentals have that bounce to them. They sound chaotic , yet in sync. They sound heavy yet peaceful. The sound these men captured on this album are one of a kind. These guys didn’t have to make music, yet they went ahead and put in the work to bless us with the most wondrous auditory experience ever. I’m happy to have not streamed this until 2022 , because it still all sounds new to me. All the memories I’m creating with this album have no attachment to my youth. Music doesn’t sound like this anymore. And that’s what makes this art even more special.
+Alex Pantoja Yeah, besides Set It OFf, they had a few more demo versions of songs off relativity. Maybe 3 more that I think about it. One was pretend. release. the close (different vocal melodies on the last half) and Just another marionette. I don't remember the other song. May have been Heads or Tails
you don't happen to have any more of the relativity demos do you? because I have the self titled per production demos. and wouldn't mind having relativity
+Dakotah Krapfl Naw, sorry man. These were posted on their myspace back in 2008, which is the only reason I have them. The rest were never released, although you can watch them track guitars for The Past Should Stay Dead demo on Jonas' channel here. ua-cam.com/video/rIvwKgOwpRs/v-deo.html
I love this demo, but it just doesn't capture "and fade it out, the storms that i love" quite like the album version does. That line gives me chills every time in that version and I just didn't get that here.
Definitely agree. The little lead that plays under “that i love” isnt as prominent in the mix either. The little breakdown in this demo is pretty dope but other than that i like the album version way better Edit: im not actually sure that the lead is even present in this version. Thats my favorite part of this song tho. Such a little touch but gives me chills

One of the best vocal intros of all time
Listening to this version on repeat to learn the chords in 6th grade... I have a wife and kids now... Crazy

finding these is hard because of how far back they're from and lack of backups, but New (old) Emarosa later this month :)
I am SO happy to hear the Demo, this is the version I fell in love with and the original was never quite the same for me :)

Same feels here. I missed it all these years but forgot to look to see if anyone uploaded it years back.
This version emphasizes Jonny more than the album version

Relativity is so good, the vocals on it are insane

Was this produced by Joey Sturgis??
Yes it was
