I like Spongebob a lot in this episode. In later seasons he was made more annoying and somehow more childish but in this special he was not. He was very patient with listening to what JKL wanted to teach him and it paid off
It's nice how you prefer him in the early seasons and these middle seasons :)
It’s so surprising how Johnny Depp got to guest star in this episode. Seeing how he played so many iconic characters, it’s kinda disappointing his character in this show isn’t also iconic. The best fun fact I have about him and I share the same birthday. I’m not even kidding, him and I were both born on June 9th. We’re technically birthday buddies.

This episode was the first SpongeBob episode I saw live.
I remember the advertising and the build up to it being super intense and it kept hyping up the big one, and the surfer summer vibes. That’s a permanent memory for me

Since this episode has multiple guest stars, the title card and opening credits is longer than usual, lasting around 15 seconds instead of around 10 seconds.
The episode starting Johnny Depp. Not a bad episode.
Easily the best special of these lesser likeable seasons

Johnny Deep was a guest star in this special and Spongebob is a not a childish and annoying character in this episode. He is more patient than annoying. I love this episode because Spongebob is more patient and less annoying than the later seasons.

@@jytvrealit's annoying, because I really like this special. I don't think it's my favourite special of these so-called "horrible seasons" (that one is still to come), but I still this one to be pretty interesting.
Try and talk about it or recommend it to someone? You'll either get people who understandably dislike it or people who dismiss it for being a Season 6 episode.

This ep is so damn funny, I can’t get over Squidward’s “who are you” to Sandy or Mr. Krab’s bizarre “where you talking to me Squidward” when he wasn’t even in the scene previously.
Bee Line for the tree line is one of the best songs in SpongeBob. I listen to it when i need time for relaxing. Just a shame it's so short

SpongeBob continuity is inconsistent for the most part.
In the Season 3 episode "Just One Bite" Squidward claims he's never had a krabby patty, yet he clearly does in Season 2's "Your Shoe's Untied"...

Remember in season 1 when we are first introduced,SpongeBob says he failed Mrs puff boating test 37 or 38 times(same episode patrick helps him cheat)
Any of the episodes from later seasons could be all the times he failed before prior to that episode or after it(since he will never pass)
@@SupportGamin2024well, we did have his records blown up in the "You're Fired" episode, so (as Mrs. Puff says) "It's as if you never failed". The next time we have boating school after that is when Patrick gets one and SpongeBob's fail count is small again.

You guys should do season 8, episode 25; it's a Spongebob Christmas special. How they made it was amazing; it was featured on CBS when it came out in 2012 with no animation. They made all the characters by hand, so they are like hand-painted puppets.
They're doing the episodes in order, so I'm sure they'll get to it. It's a great one, but did you know they did another special like it for Season 11, but it's Halloween?
