I have a 2019 sq5 all blacked out with air suspension , cup heater/cooler in the centre , ambient mood lighting just under the carbon fibre , best car purchase I’ve made in a while, even traded my BMW 3.0i Z4 for it. I would recommend this SUV to all car lovers… oh ya even got the 21” sport tires y rated scorpions…cheers

I have the ‘18 SQ5 and have been considering a new one, but I’m not seeing enough improvements to justify the move. That awkward bin in the console looks like such an oversight. Still a great vehicle. Thanks for sharing this review. 🤘

I’m in the same boat. I’m going to hold onto my 2018 (45k miles) until the refresh/redesign.
Correction - C&D tested 2018 model at 5.1 s 0-60, with the 2021 model Audi has tuned the transmission and the engine settings to hit 0-60 in 4.7 secs.

What do you think are fog lights are actually sensors?
I don’t know in the US if they have the vorspung version has it would come with black 5 rings, black name badge and look more aggressive
I just picked up my new 2023 SQ5 in Ultra Blue, Prestige package, black optics, air suspension with sport differential, leather seats and whole host of other stuff. I think it will be an enjoyable ride. I will never get a Mercedes again (had a bad experience with buying a used one and then owning it). BMW is too “brutish” and I like the interior of the Audi better. Mine has dual pane front windows, too. My big problem with ever owning a BMW is summed up in my fantasy bumper sticker “BMW makes good cars, but I’m not a big enough jerk to drive one.” This Audi is my second after a 2018 Q, with a Lexus in-between. The Lexus NX 350 F Sport had some really good technology, but I realized the sport seats were not great, the engine made the car really slow off the line, had zero character. I know the SQ could cost me more in terms of upkeep, but I will tell you a shocker: the insurance for this Audi, a Macan, etc is 40% less than the Lexus. I have no idea why. The Lexus had far more cockpit storage while the Audi is a joke (knew this going into it, of course. But, the NX is slightly smaller than the Audi and not so much fun to drive. Maybe I will eventually consider the Genesis GV70, but I am not quite sold on the Hyundai. This Audi is the most expensive I have ever own, paid $65k on a MSRP of $75k. I am looking forward to enjoying the next few years driving this guy.

No more flat bottom steering wheel?
For the love of Mike integrate the bloody screen! Even the Q3 managed it. We recently had a 2018 stolen, bought a '22 and I honestly find reaching for the screen a nuisance at best. At worst it's a bit of a safety issue.
Yes!! This is my dilemma!! I was forced to get used to the wheel and now I love it because I barely have to move to use it. My hand falls right over it. The thought of having to stretch to touch the screen bothers me so much!! Yes, I'm very lazy. Seems like they have gotten rid of the wheel. Sucks.
Maintenance expensive? Oil change? Also replace brake stystem? Also it came with summer tires only . A lot money need to spend

At the 9:54 mark, you can see there is in fact a USB-C port in the back of the center console cubby.
I read a lot of comments about some of the Audi models coming with the tablet style MMI…in my opinion sitting up higher makes it more accessible, visually and physically. I’d get rid of navigation (Apple maps makes paying 1k for navigation silly) sport exhaust, (it’s ridiculous they charge extra for a real exhaust) Nappa leather (baby calf animal skin? No thanks), black optic looks 🤮 and trailer hitch. Also, I like the Porsche Macan better
The MMI screen not being integrated is deal breaker.
I personally prefer the look of this over the other current Audi MMIs

I love the Audi SQ5 but the only thing that kind of annoys me is that this car is 60k plus and doesn’t come with remote start, yet the VW Atlas is way less and comes standard on the SE trim and up. What gives Audi lol
I have the car, wondered the same, the explanation audi gives me is, the reason audis get stolen less is because of they deliberately not equip remote start by default. go figure.
@@NoahSONG That’s odd, I’m sure they can make it where the car is still safe from getting stolen and have a remote start. I know the Atlas and Acura remote start, if you don’t have the fob near the car and put your foot on the break the whole car with turn off. Do better Audi lol

@@NoahSONG Lol tell your friend not to believe it, to many cars have remote start and have not been stolen. Audi needs a better marketing team lol
6:28 At times your commentary is hard to follow when you change the speed of your talking and often have run on sentences. Try to stay succinct and a constant speed. You may know these details like the back of your hand but blowing through them makes the viewing experience distracting and confusing
I think Japan car is much better, Infiniti Acura or Lexus. All good
