I went to Silver springs Florida as a kid I couldn't tell you which visit as the 72 75 and 76 visits all kind of meld together after so many years but it was most memorable for the skiing stunt teams and that era's Waterpark adventures glass-bottomed boats smaller craft than my recent key west visit but still loads uof fun maybe even better because the scruffy old seaman was smoking a cigar and guiding the boat and talking about the Coral and its inhabitants lol fun times
Silver Springs was a vacation destination in Florida. To promote business, the company manufactured its own set of miniature billboards to fit in the Lionel billboard holders. These billboards are somewhat rare in original condition, and highly collectible.
Oh I saw the MPC billboard in an earlier ( to me ; they randomly played your videos ) video with the coaling tower and I was looking for that again on my phone TV doesn't allow comments anyway I'm a Scale modeler and I have many models with the mpc logo on it so this video answered that question I had while watching that video I guess it's a short and the phone layout is different anyway, you answer my question with this video Now the problem is finding one !!! Keep up the good work on the videos!! My first Lionel was an Mpc era set which I still have and runs !! I got the Thunderball freight set when I was 11 and enjoy it a lot and your videos are very good 👍!
I got a few of these with the collection of plasticville I got from Mr Shinn. Yea I got the mother lode of vintage plasticville, some were dated. All from the era between post war and modern era.
I loved that accessory. It was probably my favorite non-operating accessory that Lionel made. I wish you could get more and varied inserts for the frames.
Thanks for sharing!
