This my favorite helicopter of all time especially with the specific tail rotor where I come from 4 of our life flights are EC-145s and I’ve sat in them and they are soo beautiful and nice I hope to fly one one day before I die. Also the bell 407, as365 dolphin or mh65 dolphin are tied with the e145 at second place
In my State of Connecticut. We have the same exact Helicopter and we call our medical Helicopters Lifestar 1 and 2, and we have a third Lifestar in the State of Massachusetts
kingofbass63 There is an entire checklist that we have to go through to make sure everything is working properly. Aside from systems checks there are also safety checks, checking the weather, awaiting clearance from the tower, etc. Not as fast as the movies haha.
I'm 16, from ukraine, but i live in WA state with my parents and other family. My parents own a bunch of different aircraft maintance and detailing offices where you can take your planes/helis to get cleaned, detailed, repaired. After a few years we decided since my dad has his pilots license, we could get a heli and a small plane to go around the state to visit friends/family, as well as offer tours and things like that.. We have a Bell222(heli) and a Cessna citation.
Love the helicopter, love the 720p format, loved the lighting.......didn't like the constant zooming in/out, didn't like the shaky camera, and where you adjusting the shutter speed of the camera? Looked like the appearance of the blades kept changing. Just wondering. Otherwise, sweet vid. Peace.
its not giving out.. its the illusion it gets from going so fast. same thing as a car wheel. sometimes on the freeway, or when your excelerating, the tire looks like its going the right way(which it is) but then it looks like it stops, and goes backwards. thats all it is. :)
hey you didnt look stupid lol. i would have thought that too, but we have a helicopter and everything so im around it everyday. i just kinda learn as it goes on !

I get tears in my eyes...great vid, great machine! Thanx! :)
that's a decent helicopter, the Bell 222. I've only been in one kind of helicopter and that's an R44. Really nice.
Ive flowen the R22 as a intro to flying lesson. It was really fun. :)
Thanks for the comment. It's one of my all time favorite airframes as well.
Handle5511, I like the modern version of the BK-117, Looks sharp
Having landed and departed from this very spot many times that is a geat vid of the 145! But, what about the 5min lift time???....LOL! Great Vid!

I bet, they look great.
I would love to do this some day and am applying for schools.. but I seeing the age of the pilot I have a long way before getting to his status..

They are. If you have any questions or anything id be happy to answer them. :)
I also wonder.. does the ec145 not have an apu?
it takes 2 minutes and 48 seconds to warm the engines up
