I'm surprised that you didn't mention Matabungkay Beach, Lian, Batangas. I visited there on my first trip to The Philippines in January 2001.
Hope you can check out our video about the best things to do in Batangas :D We mentioned Matabungkay there! It would be a shame not to include it as Matabungkay, Lian, is basically an institution in Philippine beach trips.

@@philippinebeachlist I adored the beach cottage that I rented for 4-5 nights and the local bar was great fun. I still have a t-shirt from my trip there, which is now 23 years old.

What part of the year did you go? Can anyone suggest about the weather in the first week of August there?
Hey, Beach Lister! This year, we revisited some of these Batangas beaches in April and May to avoid heavy rains. If you're set on going to the beach this coming August, be prepared for rain. You can check out websites like Accuweather to monitor weather conditions, but do take the forecasts with a grain of salt as the first week of August is a little over a week away. Hope this helps!
