I'm kinda disappointed in the traits tbh. They're all so positive. There should be traits like "rejects change" or "proud carnivore" or something that can stir up a bit of conflict between the sims who want to clean up the environment and sims that are ok with the way things are.

I feel like tiny living and eco lifestyle should have been mushed into one pack. I feel like the containers could have fit in well with the tiny living theme. And the whole eco/off the grid thing obviously would have been great together. It almost seems like they're just trying to make as much money as possible🤔🤔
In fairness, Tiny Living is a good stuff pack in its own right. Like, if this EP didn't exist, no one would be claiming it shouldn't be its own thing. It goes well with Tory Town but neither is required for the other to work
@@certlovrboy1089 Why would Murphy beds not go with eco lifestyle? The whole concept of multi-purpose furniture that takes up a small amount of space in your tiny, off the grid home seems super eco friendly to me. But ok.
They gotta give people a reason to buy it, after all. If not for that, I would never touch this pack. Now I might get it on sale, but it has to be a big sale. Not even 50% off will do.
I really think there should have been just one EP with the Get Famous celebrity gameplay, the apartments from city living and the clubs from Get Together. To me it would’ve been so much better and made soooo much more sense.
I kind of agree, I want deeper and more variety to personality traits. Also I feel like the traits do nothing as of now, if I gave a character the "Hates children" trait and put them in a house with a kid they'd still be friendly to it and want be nice with them. Though i'm also glad we got any new traits, I feel like i've made the same sims over and over with how little we had.
Katie omg yes, the sim I had with the “hates children” trait would constantly play with her roommate’s toddler and get all stressed after, but then do it again lol
Of course sims 4 is just a money making machine they will reused all types of animations to get money especially how eco lifestyle is related to laundry day Tiny living and island living $60 at waste. Traits in sims 4 does not have negative and positive traits or make the game more interesting Love ur comments 😃❤
I think they cater to the different focusses of the green Sims - technological, ethical, creative, so I like that there are different traits rather than one monotone 'green' trait. It changes your gameplay and makes it am actual characteristic, v rather than something you have to use up a personality slot for if you want to do any kind of eco-conscious gameplay. I still find it annoying that Vegetarian is a personality trait - it doesn't make any sense to me as it's got nothing to do with personality other than the food you eat. I think it should be an option in line with whether your character walks a certain way or can get pregnant etc.
The more I see of this pack the more I realize just how dirty we were done by Island Living being an expansion and not a game pack. Look at that, actual content that significantly impacts gameplay in all worlds for all Sims in an interesting way! SHOCKING.
I was cleaning this morning and my Sims 2 Castaway Stories conveniently fell on the floor in front of me. *cried in nostalgia* . The huts, the build/buy, the CAS, THE ORANGUTANS! If they put those Sims 2 elements in Sulani, and took out the Conservation stuff, putting it with Tiny-living and Laundry-day into Eco-Lifestyle, things would have made more sense for all those packs.
I just wish they did mermaids better and cut the eco stuff out of Island Living if they were gonna make a whole separate EP for eco friendly gameplay. If we had underwater swimming and mermaids that were as good as vampires and celebrities (and ocean swimming in all worlds), then I would consider that worthy of being an EP. But nooooooo
ricericericericericericericerice TS4 mermaids are so pretty but so boring from a gameplay standpoint, I hate it. There’s zero point to them outside of Sulani, which is not true of any of the other supernaturals. It sucks.
ricericericericericericericerice I agree, they put too much focus on eco friendly gameplay when it’s already been planned, and too little on the gameplay feature that actually attracted most Simmers.
Politics. It's as simple as that. They should listen to the late Totalbiscuit. Forget about Politics. Just have fun. In 100 years no one will care about this.
Are- are these the traits??? Oh honnneeeyy, that’s awful. Candle maker? A trait? Might as well have a god damn doctor trait. Geez EA, you’re going down a rabbit hole lads.
If you brought all packs that had been released by 2019 at full price you would have spent at least $600 and if you brought all of them during sales you still would have spent at least $300 Edit: I just did some more calculations, and currently, in England, if you buy all Expansion packs, Game packs and Stuff packs at full price, you will spend £519.68. However, this year we already know that we’re getting 1 new Expansion pack, 1 new game pack and 1 new stuff pack at least which brings up the total to £576.65 in Pound Sterling and in USD thats $702.96 Just for reference, a PS5 will cost around £500 so....
My problem with this pack is that it gets boring when everything is so perfect, creating a utopian world should come with the dystopia and trait consequences on the sims.
Then just don't make it perfect if you decide to play it. You don't have to make the world a better place. You can choose to leave trash everywhere and make it worse if you want to.
@@cupcakeangel365 EXACTLY! Y'all aren't acting any better than those that judged it early. Also, the op is spitting facts. Where are the consequences? If you're gonna include a polluted version put some effort on it
i tried to make a black sim unmodded the other day (because my game won't let me upload houses with CC on) and it almost brought me to tears. those skintones are so ugly and unrealistic and ashy and i remember base game where all you had was that extremely stereotypical afro. And since then, they've *barely* tried. i can't believe i keep having to buy new expansions if i want to have hair that would be my hair type. But the skintones will stay garbage
@@toodleloos its so horrible! i feel you. I brought up my concerns to a dev on twitter and she implied the sims team is working on it (with their track record i still dont feel satisfied) but we can only hope. For now, i'm grateful to modders
Yes I completely agree with you about the skirt jeans combo - I was watching the live stream and they kept saying that those pants were a fan favourite... excuse me what
Hopefully Paralives will push the sims team to improve and not be so complacent. The meshes are already a bit better so that's something. "Thanks, Thatcher" is always a northern mood
I'm so excited for Paralives and what it might do for the genre in general! It already looks so good and the team is taking their community's wants seriously and is doing their best to get stuff right, I absolutely love it
Ilka .Waffy well sims 5 might be out before para will be and we also have no proof before the game is out if the things they promise is actually gonna be in there And personally para ain’t my style but I would totally buy it and play it for some time but sims would still be my go to
One day I think Paralives will out beat sims 4 because 6 years now ugh nothing interesting or amazing gameplay content I dont know about sims 5 yet at all hopefully they put sims 4 graphics sims 3 gameplay sims 2 memory systems and fears
I can't believe we need to ask ourselves what a moder would do to 500+ game... Especially when we have complete games priced 40-60 bucks with depth and never seen before content. Everyone is literally excited about doors and windows like.........
B K i’m just curious to see how the feature could be manipulated now that it exists. i don’t use sims 4 aside from for building n only have the base game cos i don’t think gameplay without mods is v fun lol - can’t wait to see how other ppl get creative w it tho lol
Alana Benitez if this is a genuine response theyre saying maybe in future we’ll be able to have multiple lot types(?) on one lot with this feature as the basis for it (i’m guessing as in you could have like a bar on the bottom floor and then a residential lot(?) above?) and maybe an official survey might come out to ask us about what we think
im honestly not even sure what could be done about sims 4. maybe its just me, but nothing seems to actually have me invested and want to play for more than 3-4 hours a save. however with sims 3, i can play so much longer and it feels like the sims just have a bit more depth to really make them individual, and even if the game runs a bit worse, open world is too good. it feels like even the fundamentals of sims 4 are too weak. i dont like the traits at all, they dont impact a sim whatsoever and theres only 3 slots and too little traits total, adding more doesnt even feel like its making much of a change. the emotions system also is just not impactful at all, which was the entire crutch of traits and the majority of this entry in the series. sims 4 is good for CAS and building, but as soon as i go into gameplay (i have most of the expansion packs, parenthood, and laundry day) i either end up feeling frustrated, bored, or just sad because everything just seems hollow compared to what sims 3 had in its own gameplay. maybe this is just me though, id like to hear what other people think.
Literally feel the same way! Sims 4 is so boring! The life aspirations are so stupid! in sims 3 it was like conquer the free world in sims 4 it’s like ‘your sims wants to take it easy and live a relaxed life’ like okay??? Shouldn’t that just be a step to one of a major goals not the full thing?? What does that even mean??
When the sims 4 initially came out I returned if after playing a few hours. Went back to sims 3 and forgot about the sims 4. Few months later I bought sims 4 again to give it a proper try, and I totally relate to the feeling you have when playing. Building is what I enjoy most because when I start playing I get so bored after 2-3 hours (whereas with the sims 3 you’d have to pry my from the computer). The emotions don’t work properly in the sims 4 and it’s not fun to cheat anymore, because it’s not hard to :/
Sims 4 is so barbaric and so wasted in things that they have opportunities to give us the gameplay we want, but 6 years now it's not worth it because many people just dont know what to do or hope for the sims 4 because sims 2 and 3 were the best sims games and sims 4 is not capable because of 6 long years of nothing great but little content
I would like to speak to the person who designs the Sims CAS, and then I would like to see what they wear because what the actual hell Also talking about clothes, Jesse's top is so cute❤
there's a recurring theme with the sims: when they are about to release a new pack, they add a free update to the base game with something simple that should have been added in 2014 when the game came out (i.e. terrain sliders with get famous and ladders/firefighters with this pack), i assume they do this in an attempt to make these packs seem better but once you separate them it really shows how lackluster the packs are
they have realised they now have competition on the horizon in the name of Paralives, they only added the window movement feature because paralives did a test video with that as an option.
mte. this game has been out for SIX YEARS and they're just now adding more and more useful things. it's ridiculous and what they're trying to do is make sure they have an audience left for the sims 5. it won't be me lol
Enclave_dude I think they’re aware their competition is too formidable so they’re just trying to drag sims into the floor and squeeze every penny they can get out of it before somebody else comes along and steals their fan base with a better product. Right now they have a monopoly so they can get away with this stuff cause there’s nothing people can do about it.
Yes the sims 4 is all about aesthetic and beautiful backgrounds but no depths in gameplay nor content for babies kids teens and even elders. Sims 1 2 and even 3 always had so much theme in their packs. Sims 4 just love building and cas so much and not gameplay content for many sims fans and their community. Love ur response man 😉
While I am happy others who were more disappointed are changing their minds and are happier now, I still do not see myself purchasing this pack. The BB and CAS items do look pretty cool, but it's hard to justify spending $50 for some hairs, stretched ears, and cute furniture, especially when as someone who plays on PC I have access to the amazing CC out there. The game play in this pack is just, not for me. I am mostly a family game player. However, seeing how well constructed and detailed some parts of this are does give me hope for future packs and I am happy that the majority of the community seems more positive. :)
This thing with city projects that change the NPC's behavior kinda makes me think that we might actually get the story progression. It's just that now we have a tool to manipulate sims' behavior manually but the SP is basically about the game managing it itself
What I love about #EcoLifestyle -All off-the-grid items & use of sustainable/renewable energy sources -Free placement of doors/windows -Sims 1 table & other nostalgia items -Firefighters (fingers crossed for career too!) -Vertical gardens, Juice-making & object crafting & more What I hate about #EcoLifestyle -Evergreen Harbor (not my style) -CAS (especially for masculine choice) -How our sims can interact SO MUCH with trash without getting infections and such [Seriously, wasn't it about time to make those doctors from GTW useful?]
Free door/window placement and firefighters will be in base game update That's a great idea about infections involving doctors. If people don't have GTW it could be a rabbit hole but that kind of depth and consequences is fun and interesting and stops it being so vanilla like Jesse said
Well sims 4 ecolifestyle will be boring soon like some other packs of sims 4 are but many not all of them for some people because if that's fits their personality they would like but me just family gameplay and gameplay that's more interesting
Hey dudes let’s stop giving EA money for things we aren’t happy with. I gave up on sims 4 because I can just rely on youtubers like plumbella to keep me updated, and I’m back in sims 3 loving life ✌️
Sims 4 stans complain about Sims 3 being laggy but imagine the gaming PC you could get for the price of all those damn TS4 expansions and stuff packs. Lag on my nuclear reactor of a computer? Never heard of her.
i didn't think it was possible for me to be LESS interested in this pack than i already was. i like that they included new traits but they just aren't doing it for me. the only thing i liked (from this video) was some* of the cas items and that apartment in the new town :(( this is definitely a pass for me. i just dont see as worth $50 CAD...
I really enjoyed the stream for once because with all the gurus present everyone got to talk about the things they liked best to develop, and their chemistry with each other really made up for how awkward they can be on stream (to be fair, they're programmers 😂). And it surprised me too just how much there was to go through, the trailer made it seem so empty.
I really think they should have added traits that work with the smog part of the pack... This pack just doesn't sit right with me because it does seem very centered towards making the world more green... but what if I wanted to play as the (Australien gov) Anti-enviro person? how many options do I have for that. Also, I really with they brought Gems and Gemcutter back...
As an Aussie I approve the dig 👌 Although if we could make a politician who wanted to destroy the environment and only loves money it would have been to close to reality for my preferred gameplay style 🤷
The thing that stills frustrates me is that I still don’t feel like there’s is enough new content to make it worth $40. Like they’ve taken elements that we’ve seen in other packs(that were presented very badly) and now they’re trying to redo their mistake and put Into one price. It’s not fair for the sims teams to putting bits and pieces into each pack so they can milk us for a while.
This pack would be fine if it was a GAME pack. But no way I'm paying 40 for such a niche concept. They made a terrible mistake by making it an EP. They got too greedy.
Just came from watching the livestream and I’m genuinely enamored and appreciate the thought put into it, regardless of what we need/want outside of it. It’s all fun and games to roast it and make jokes, but I see it as a major shift in the team actually getting excited about making a pack, talking about the pack, and putting detail into it. Which is something I haven’t felt from them in quite a long time, so it feels inspiring to me! I found myself hanging on to every word said while watching all 2+hrs of the stream and I can’t say I’ve felt that energy from them from any pack until now. The streams seemed aloof and forced with even key packs like university. I’m honestly super here for it! Anyway, that’s my vibe! 🥺💕
I’m glad your not just telling us to “try” the game like some other game changers. While I value your opinion I have to remember you get these expansions for free so I have to remember that I also have to spend a pretty penny. I wanted a pack where I could look after a child in more detail. I’m definitely not buying this expansion at full price.
I believe she pays for the packs herself, like most (sims) UA-camrs do. Thats why she said "presented by, not paid" she does get this "demo" for free for a limited time. But plumbella definitly feels like she gives her honest opinion compared to some others
MonstreCharmante okay fair if she does. I usually trust her reviews because she doesn’t only focus on positive or push any real opinions on her viewers which I appreciate!
Wait, they're going to be adding firefighters to the game? OMFG, do you know how many Sims I lost the first time I played the game because I didn't realize there weren't any firefighters and essentially the smoke alarms did nothing? I'm so mad!
They seriously should realize by now that narrative point of view gameplay trailer doesn't work unless it's a completely story driven pack like Strangerville. That gameplay trailer is the worst one imo. It basically doesn't showcase anything new from the reveal trailer aside from a voiceover lol. They could've done way better with the gameplay trailer.
One thing I haven’t seen anyone talk about is: If the pollution affects all worlds, it also affects Sulani. Right? Which means that one of the features of Island Living became completely useless... and that’s the tea 🍵
It’s just so situational and that’s annoying to me. Like, seasons and pets are things you can use in all situations but other than once or twice, depending on the player, how often are you gonna clean up the neighborhood in comparison to...always having seasons
I just gotta say: Even though I’ve been playing the sims for a long time, I was never really interested in the community, never really watched any sims youtubers. Then I found you! Now I watch ALL of your videos, just because I like you as a person so much. You could talk about anything and I’d listen! Keep on rocking, hen! (Also I was very disappointed to learn that hen is dialect for hun, I thought you were calling us like, literally hen, a female chicken... thought that was very cute :((( )
After seeing bits of the stream, I was becoming hopefully optimistic! I’m glad that it’s appearing to shape up as a worthwhile pack. I’m still a bit miffed that candlemaking and nectarmaking were modded in before EA got there (which was a huge sign of EA’s lack of communication with the fanbase to me for so long), so I’m hoping that this new gameplay is as immersive as it seems. It does also appear that you might be able to interlink some of this gameplay with the gameplay from other packs too! Imagine a politician in Evergreen Harbor, or a new way to play a social influencer who makes DIY videos.
Somewhat relieved that the EP has more depth than depicted in the trailer. Unfortunately it doesn't appear to have impacted gameplay to the extent it should in view of its pricepoint (which IS on the premium side across all types of currencies, whether or not you can afford it). Recycling animations, limiting interactions, end of the day its just same same but wee bit different as Plumbella described. The rapport between simgurus & the community doesn't diminish our role as consumers. Unlike cc creators/modders, these guys are working for their paycheck just like every other job. We don't owe them anything besides polite constructive feedback. We're allowed to feel dissatisfied, we're allowed to criticise as we do with any other purchase. End of the day, if EA tried selling S4 as a single game all-inclusive at over 600$, no one would buy it. And that just reflects the quality of gameplay it offers, of which they've still failed to rectify and improve upon with this EP. Happy for those who want to buy it, you do you, but this just didn't cut it for me.
EA: save the planet! Ea: *gives you plastic disposable box with code for expansion pack written on it instead of actually putting the case to some use by putting a functional disc in it*
I can’t even find Sims 4 games in stores anywhere near me anymore. They still have the older packs but I don’t think I’ve seen any of the new ones in two years now.
I think a lot of people are sleeping on the fact that there's a lovely eco-friendly lesbian couple and their adorable daughter in the town 😊💚 I love me some representation huns
I think its better to not draw attention to it. Gay couples in the sims 4 isn't too uncommon now and if you celebrate everytime this happens it just makes it less normal.
@@chh-gm5cf and I will respectfully disagree :) Personally I'm comfortable with the level in the game, especially since its a game where you can make whoever date whoever you want. Getting it pointed out just makes me feel weird.
hmm idk, we've given EA a lot of our money with the sims 4 so YEA the bar is high! i just feel like once you finish cleaning up the town you don't have much else to do with this pack. I appreciate an EP that can appeal to any story-line, this is an overpriced game pack IMO
I think, this is a shot in the dark, but I think the eco-items are so big because you are not meant to have them on your personal lots. Maybe one of the creation items and a wind turbine or solar panels but I think the bigger items is EA way is discriminating the player staying on their lot and instead going out to the Community center and/ or being active in the community. That can be a pain because of the loading screens but it could add a level of engagement for the players as they are playing with this pack.
I had low expectations for this pack after the trailers but can honestly say I’m now excited , maybe it’s a lack of other stimuli during lockdown but maybe ea have actually pulled through
4:08 Wait so does this mean we can have other lots assigned as Apartments now? Or is it restricted to this lot? I won't be surprised if it's the latter.
It looks like the apartments are still in a shell, so I doubt we can set up our own. But it also looks like they modified the code a bit (no noisy neighbors, no landlords, one of the apartments is a walk up without an elevator) so it’s possible the new code is flexible enough for modders to work with, I dunno.
being able to turn the smog off would be great, i can imagine it’ll get old FAST like the Strangerville mystery. and the build/buy items doing look super versatile in all worlds. i feel in a few months when the pack isn’t new, some opinions about it will change that’d probably be a better judge of if the pack is worth the money. i definitely don’t think it’s worth spending the full price.
My play style is quite "picture perfect" with no chaos, no fighting, no death etc., so the "eco Utopian" story line would be enough for me as I would never use the industrial story line for anything else than a "before". That being said, I do see that it is a shame that it is not so developed and the eco Utopian. For the more "daring" play styles.
During the livestream when they were showing off the CAS items they said the jean skirt with jean pants combo was a “fan favorite” Not sure if they were being sarcastic...
"lilsimsie is probably having a heart attack right now. Has anyone checked on her?" OMG I'M CRYING FROM LAUGHTER. I love Kayla, and I know Bella and her are friends so this comment wasn't malicious, but DANG it had me laughing.
The sims gave us a pack about literal garbage. They want us to have fun with living in *squalor* why can’t we just have more interesting characters?! We’ve been asking for the same thing over and over and EA just says YALL WANNA MAKE CANDLES??? I am livid Edit: hold up...*a reject consumerism* trait? Does EA not realize the awful irony of selling a pack for $40, during a time when people are struggling financially, so your sims can have a trait that makes them reject consumerism?? I’m doneeee
Okay so I already said what I had to say and I'm lazy so I'm just gonna say: We need Childhood / Teenhood. But specially Childooh. It's not the first time I think about that and yes, I want it so bad.
'Gentrification' really is the name of this pack. And when I saw that jean skirt/pants thing I immediately thought, "Get that fire exit door." Those 2 things pretty much sum up how I feel about this pack. (also your shirt is so cute could you drop the link for it?)
So you're telling me that EA, a multi-billion dollar company who cares not for human wellbeing, DOESN'T know what a working-class house looks like? * Pretends to be shocked *
Off topic, but I just watched Steph for the first time, and I'm a regular checker-inner on Kayla. Who knew you're actually middle-of-the-road??? I mainly came here for the lore, but you totally make S4 (in which I have no interest playing) fun to watch! Thanks for sharing your lockdown with us and our lockdown! Between you and zoloft, life is bearable for once!
Its really frustrating to see so many objects coming with this pack, that just really needed to be in other packs. Its difficult to see so many desired objects in this pack, that can only be obtained by shedding out £30+ for a pack that has so many recycled concepts, objects, animations etc, from other packs. I want some of those run-down looking beds and the economic generators etc but they should have COME WITH TINY LIVING OR ISLAND LIVING! The oG conservation packs

Pastel Dreams a going-out-of-business sale 😂😂😂
Literally the thing that put me off get famous was the world. If they had a 'down town' with apartments and a night club, i would have got it
Abigail Robbins I agree. Get Famous would look perfect with apartments! But i understand why it doesn’t have any
I really think there should have been just one EP with the Get Famous celebrity gameplay, the apartments from city living and the clubs from Get Together. To me it would’ve been so much better and made soooo much more sense.
I do be lovin "The Sims 4 Middle Class Life" though

Isn't that just The Sims?
Why did I read it as 'Sims 4 Middle Life Crisis' lmaooo
@@mimimurlough Yep. Even being poor in the sims you still won't suffer more than lack of internet or being smelly.
I really hate the traits. They’re all so similar to each other and so focused on tiny things. Sims 4 just feels so lacking in traits.
Exactly! Sims 4 absolutely needs more traits that actually affect the sims in game but even when they do add stuff its meh at best
They should have had traits that re-presented the smoggy side as well
I kind of agree, I want deeper and more variety to personality traits.
All the traits could have been combined into one Tf😂
Have they ?
They have to be on par with the existing traits, wouldn't make sense to have one OP eco trait

@@ThePaganDruid no thanks
Or they should have added more to island living
ricericericericericericericerice TS4 mermaids are so pretty but so boring from a gameplay standpoint, I hate it. There’s zero point to them outside of Sulani, which is not true of any of the other supernaturals. It sucks.
ricericericericericericericerice I agree, they put too much focus on eco friendly gameplay when it’s already been planned, and too little on the gameplay feature that actually attracted most Simmers.
I think this would've been a good opportunity to bring back the Broke family. But I guess you can't have everything.

If you brought all packs that had been released by 2019 at full price you would have spent at least $600 and if you brought all of them during sales you still would have spent at least $300
Edit: I just did some more calculations, and currently, in England, if you buy all Expansion packs, Game packs and Stuff packs at full price, you will spend £519.68. However, this year we already know that we’re getting 1 new Expansion pack, 1 new game pack and 1 new stuff pack at least which brings up the total to £576.65 in Pound Sterling and in USD thats $702.96
Just for reference, a PS5 will cost around £500 so....

The Sims 4 Get polluted

im honestly not even sure what could be done about sims 4. maybe its just me, but nothing seems to actually have me invested and want to play for more than 3-4 hours a save. however with sims 3, i can play so much longer and it feels like the sims just have a bit more depth to really make them individual, and even if the game runs a bit worse, open world is too good. it feels like even the fundamentals of sims 4 are too weak. i dont like the traits at all, they dont impact a sim whatsoever and theres only 3 slots and too little traits total, adding more doesnt even feel like its making much of a change. the emotions system also is just not impactful at all, which was the entire crutch of traits and the majority of this entry in the series. sims 4 is good for CAS and building, but as soon as i go into gameplay (i have most of the expansion packs, parenthood, and laundry day) i either end up feeling frustrated, bored, or just sad because everything just seems hollow compared to what sims 3 had in its own gameplay. maybe this is just me though, id like to hear what other people think.
I feel the same way! It just lacks depth
The emotions don’t work properly in the sims 4 and it’s not fun to cheat anymore, because it’s not hard to :/
Same, this is why i stopped playing sims 4
Sims 4 is so barbaric and so wasted in things that they have opportunities to give us the gameplay we want, but 6 years now it's not worth it because many people just dont know what to do or hope for the sims 4 because sims 2 and 3 were the best sims games and sims 4 is not capable because of 6 long years of nothing great but little content
Why don’t we get traits like „green thumb“ or „hates the outdoors“
We've already got the first one under another name, but I'd like the latter one too!
Super green thumb is a reward trait you can buy with aspiration points
I have those traits in my game I used a mod it’s kawaiistacie’s more traits mod

Agree ... And I am pretty sure we aren't from the same country so... Where they take the references from?
RAISIN' RENT. I had to take a minute to *_breathe_*
there's a recurring theme with the sims: when they are about to release a new pack, they add a free update to the base game with something simple that should have been added in 2014 when the game came out (i.e. terrain sliders with get famous and ladders/firefighters with this pack), i assume they do this in an attempt to make these packs seem better but once you separate them it really shows how lackluster the packs are
they have realised they now have competition on the horizon in the name of Paralives, they only added the window movement feature because paralives did a test video with that as an option.
mte. this game has been out for SIX YEARS and they're just now adding more and more useful things. it's ridiculous and what they're trying to do is make sure they have an audience left for the sims 5. it won't be me lol
Im studying a degree in urban planning, the sims 4 doesnt understand how boring this stuff actually is.
They make it seem so pretty, but its just a big mask covering a bare bones pack
Me too. I won’t buy it until it goes on sale - I’m not spending any more than 20€ on this!
Same. When I see packs come out I try to see if simmers had made similar or better mods or CC of it so I don't waste my money
This thing with city projects that change the NPC's behavior kinda makes me think that we might actually get the story progression. It's just that now we have a tool to manipulate sims' behavior manually but the SP is basically about the game managing it itself
What I love about #EcoLifestyle
-All off-the-grid items & use of sustainable/renewable energy sources
-Free placement of doors/windows
-Sims 1 table & other nostalgia items
-Firefighters (fingers crossed for career too!)
-Vertical gardens, Juice-making & object crafting
& more
What I hate about #EcoLifestyle
-Evergreen Harbor (not my style)
-CAS (especially for masculine choice)
-How our sims can interact SO MUCH with trash without getting infections and such
[Seriously, wasn't it about time to make those doctors from GTW useful?]
I believe free placement of doors/windows come with the free update. (Maybe firefighters as well? Don't quote me on that!)
Free door/window placement and firefighters will be in base game update
That's a great idea about infections involving doctors. If people don't have GTW it could be a rabbit hole but that kind of depth and consequences is fun and interesting and stops it being so vanilla like Jesse said
Half the stuff you mentioned was from the patch 🤷♀️
Well sims 4 ecolifestyle will be boring soon like some other packs of sims 4 are but many not all of them for some people because if that's fits their personality they would like but me just family gameplay and gameplay that's more interesting

the livestream was the best two hours of my day yesterday. i cried at the end!
There was a lot of content to go through but so worth it.

Although if we could make a politician who wanted to destroy the environment and only loves money it would have been to close to reality for my preferred gameplay style 🤷
The thing that stills frustrates me is that I still don’t feel like there’s is enough new content to make it worth $40. Like they’ve taken elements that we’ve seen in other packs(that were presented very badly) and now they’re trying to redo their mistake and put Into one price.
To my knowledge the pack plays a lot with seasons! And im so excited to make use of get to work with this pack as well 😁
Somewhat relieved that the EP has more depth than depicted in the trailer.

Thank u I totally agree😋 why people so enthuse in this pack anyways its just cleaning up a world anyways with little hobbies
"Baghead has a totally different connotation in the north of England"
*looks up baghead.*
lmaoo I am sent.k
I had low expectations for this pack after the trailers but can honestly say I’m now excited , maybe it’s a lack of other stimuli during lockdown but maybe ea have actually pulled through
4:08 Wait so does this mean we can have other lots assigned as Apartments now? Or is it restricted to this lot? I won't be surprised if it's the latter.
I‘m confused too
It looks like the apartments are still in a shell, so I doubt we can set up our own. But it also looks like they modified the code a bit (no noisy neighbors, no landlords, one of the apartments is a walk up without an elevator) so it’s possible the new code is flexible enough for modders to work with, I dunno.
You wish! It's the Sims 3, so expect the latter 😂
It's literally The Sims 4: Get Gentrification. Me and my brother were joking that the new system could be used to create ghettos & suburbs. 😶🌚😶
being able to turn the smog off would be great, i can imagine it’ll get old FAST like the Strangerville mystery. and the build/buy items doing look super versatile in all worlds.
i feel in a few months when the pack isn’t new, some opinions about it will change that’d probably be a better judge of if the pack is worth the money. i definitely don’t think it’s worth spending the full price.
“Lilsimsie is probably having a heart attack” - I died 💀💀
“Surprisingly easy to be wheezy”
My play style is quite "picture perfect" with no chaos, no fighting, no death etc., so the "eco Utopian" story line would be enough for me as I would never use the industrial story line for anything else than a "before". That being said, I do see that it is a shame that it is not so developed and the eco Utopian. For the more "daring" play styles.
During the livestream when they were showing off the CAS items they said the jean skirt with jean pants combo was a “fan favorite” Not sure if they were being sarcastic...
"lilsimsie is probably having a heart attack right now. Has anyone checked on her?"
OMG I'M CRYING FROM LAUGHTER. I love Kayla, and I know Bella and her are friends so this comment wasn't malicious, but DANG it had me laughing.
TORY TOWN IM SCREAMINF
“New expansion pack” I thought it was a stuff or game pack wait wtf
Wow the last time I was this early I had clear skin
Lol love this comment
I felt this
Lol
Aw
i genuinely love you. literally the only gamer i can watch and not be bored
“I’ve got asthma, so I can make that joke”
I also have asthma, and I laughed so hard at this it turned into a wheeze 😂
Haha good stuff!
Me and my asthma are LIVING for this pack
I didnt know we got reviews THIS early omg 😍
the name Eco-Lifestyle isn’t doing it for me either henny😭😂🤣
i like the clothing tbh
You summed it up so thoroughly and yet it still bores me :(
The sims gave us a pack about literal garbage. They want us to have fun with living in *squalor* why can’t we just have more interesting characters?! We’ve been asking for the same thing over and over and EA just says YALL WANNA MAKE CANDLES??? I am livid
Edit: hold up...*a reject consumerism* trait? Does EA not realize the awful irony of selling a pack for $40, during a time when people are struggling financially, so your sims can have a trait that makes them reject consumerism?? I’m doneeee
Last time i was this early Jefferee star had eyebrows
How early have you been because I've never seen that man with eyebrows
😂
Miracle he hasn’t had eyebrows since he was in high school I think 😂
Okay so I already said what I had to say and I'm lazy so I'm just gonna say: We need Childhood / Teenhood. But specially Childooh. It's not the first time I think about that and yes, I want it so bad.
'Gentrification' really is the name of this pack. And when I saw that jean skirt/pants thing I immediately thought, "Get that fire exit door." Those 2 things pretty much sum up how I feel about this pack. (also your shirt is so cute could you drop the link for it?)
Honestly don’t know why I’m watching this, it’s not like I’m going to buy this
So you're telling me that EA, a multi-billion dollar company who cares not for human wellbeing, DOESN'T know what a working-class house looks like?
9:22 I love that Jesse included Billy in this lol
Omg Jesse thanks for the heart!
That skirt and jeans combo was just the denim craze personified, like demin pants, skirts, shirts, jackets, hair bands, chokers, bags, shoes, etc, all at the same time
“The Sims 4 Gentrification” that was hilarious 😂
