I think you’re probably right. My guess is, that it’s the hose actually - at least in my pea brain. When Dad reaches for it, it’s pretty hidden. Cecily, Kenan and Aidy may not have seen it. Just Liev and Beck and Kyle knew. We have seen the sketch twice (this was the first) and it is a brilliant one, but it didn’t need the hose. It would have been fine if Dad had just yelled at Beck & Kyle, but that prop made it so incredibly heightened. And you probably know that it got even crazier the next time they did the sketch.

Everyone in SNL is understandably great in comedy, but I feel like Kyle can also nail dramatic acting effortlessly. He's probably the most well rounded actor in the cast.
