I grew up in Corvallis and have often thought about moving back. There is so much more that you didn’t get to see. To name a few: Mary’s Peak, McDonald-Dunn Forest, Adair Village, Avery Park, Walnut Park, and OSU has so many places and opportunities for public to see and learn as well.
You were really close to waterfront Park, just on the other side of the river. You were at the entrance for the rowing teams. A little further north there's a couple of nice hiking areas (also south...) and to the west is Mary's Peak.
I used to live in the apartments next to the wetlands it's absolutely beautiful out there. Except during the summer time there's lots of snakes. You can hear the coyotes into Stars it's so pretty at night
Thank you for visiting Corvallis like I asked!! We've been looking up places to live in OR and that was one of the highest rated. You showed us things we never saw in other videos about Corvallis, and you even looked up facts and info, well done! We really like the mountains surrounding Grants Pass though so I'm not sure where we will end up yet :) Too bad it was rainy out but that is just how it is most days in the winter time up there right
Yea, that was one of the main things I noticed. Cottage Grove is a really cute town, but there are no mountain views (not that I saw, anyway). Good luck on your search! :)
Hi! The waterfront park is actually in downtown right past the murals you saw. Its on the left side of the river and its just a small little park, but the farmers market is held near it on saturdays
Yes, no parking at the covered bridge because you are supposed to walk to it. I wish you would have called me. I would have given you a grand tour of my town. Oh, and the River Front Park is on the west side of the river. You were already on 2nd Street and if you have walked one more block, you would have been at the River Front Park. Yes, Jackson Frazier is usually not that flooded. It is beautiful in all seasons (a 30-minute walk from my house). Next time you are here, I will tour you! Also, there are so many more amazing trails here in Corvallis. It is the best place to hike (and is the beginning of the Corvallis to Sea Trail (see my video on it here on UA-cam).
I love the location of Corvallis and chill vibe. Currently live in Portland which has its ups and downs but as I get older I been thinking about some place a little more laid back.
I'm 19 and have lived in southern California my whole life. I yearn for a place like Corvallis, and would do anything to be able to move there. _I will get there one day._
All my life i said I wanted to move to Oregon, and recently i became acquainted with an aunt that lives in Philomath, which is right next to Corvallis and let me just tell you, Oregon is absolutely amazing, you should definitely move there!
Thank you. Today has been-22 to -3 with windchill today and I could hear the pitter patter of rain in my nicely heated house today thanks to the video.
"You never know until you go"! We moved to Medford a year ago from Idaho. It's been fun going on adventures. I watched your videos before we moved. They made me more excited about Oregon. Thank you for sharing this video. I have added to our list of things to do!
I’m so glad you visited a new place. And one that was so pretty! Your family did miss out but there’s always another day. If you’re ever around cottage grove please consider doing a video! I hear they have lots of covered bridges there! I think that would be interesting! ❤️
I’m a local. There’s rarely water there in the wetlands are dry in the summer. Crystal Lake has a long footpath. Avery Park is a huge park other side of campus as well. Best coffee in the Valley is Blackrock Coffee.
Come to Corvallis in the spring..catch an Oregon state baseball game 🏏.....I'm glad you enjoyed the wetlands...I go there often...I love Grant's pass it is a great place. take care and God bless
I work for the knights, and the games are a must see if you come during the season. Especially if you come on July 3rd or August 6th for the fireworks.
The other side of the river there's about area where you can see duck and then on the other side of the bridge there is a waterfront park with the kids playground and a water play area for the kids it's really cool. I live in Corvallis by the way
I'm really late coming your channel. I live just down the street from that wetland. I never thought about alligators being there. Now I do. I know to stay out at night during the dry time. A former neighbor saw a cougar once and that's enough for me. If you ever do a video of the covered bridges of Lane County in the Cottage Grove area, you would be making big mistake not going to the covered walking bridge over the Coast Fork Willamette River. It's parallel to West Main. I'm too lazy to research it but we bought a brick for the sidewalk and I think we were told it was one of two "original" (whatever that means) covered walking bridges in the world. The other bridge is somewhere in China. The river is pretty in that area too. Lots of small stones scattered about. West Main was the parade scene in the movie Animal House.
That was the OSU rowing facility. There is a nice waterfront park across the river with a fountain for kids to play in during the summer. Next time you go hit up Local Boyz for some good Hawaiian food.
Those wetlands were really cool! I was thinking to myself that thank goodness there are no alligators in OR and then you made the same comment lol!! My son is applying to Oregon State so if he ends up going there, I will plan on visiting the wetlands! Covered bridges are really neat to see, like someone mentioned above, Cottage Grove has many of them and I think there is a trail map at their visitor center so you can find them easily
Yea, UA-cam disabled the comments on my entire channel 3 years ago. Thankfully, they re-enabled them again this year, but now I have to manually turn the comments back on for each individual video, and I just haven’t done it yet. 🙈 Thanks for noticing (and for watching my videos)! 😊
Glad you got to miss all the homeless, trash, defecations and used needles. I grew up in Corvallis when it was a great town. I moved away in 1980. No regrets. A great place to visit. I just won't go to the areas I used to frequent fishing and swimming around town.
Ah, yes, I noticed that while re-watching this! lol. I need to buy more. They fall out in my sleep, vanishing into sheet-land, and then I forget they exist. 😅

I miss oregon so much. Your videos are my only current tie to home and i wanted to thank you for your efforts.

I love Corvallis, I have lived here for 14 years and still love it.

I totally agree. The wetlands was absolutely gorgeous. It was mystic and mesmerizing. Gland I got to experience it with you. Thanks great trip

The riverfront park is a bike path and they have the OSU Rowing Club there
The Wetlands were really cool.
you just missed a couple of places to see...but glad you did a Corvallis video...thanks

Thanks for watching my videos and commenting. 😊 Welcome to Southern Oregon! Maybe I’ll see you around. Haha
It’s a great place to hang out. Would love to live closer. There’s so much to do if you like hiking and living close to the coast. And if you like OSU

I've been wanting to visit Cottage Grove and I pass through quite often, so I'll be sure to stop next time. :)
3:53 I love this wetland visit so much! Thanks so much for this video. (And I’m sorry your waterproof Merrill’s were leaky!)
I’m a local. There’s rarely water there in the wetlands are dry in the summer. Crystal Lake has a long footpath. Avery Park is a huge park other side of campus as well. Best coffee in the Valley is Blackrock Coffee.
I live literally a block away from those wetlands
I live “next door” in Albany! We took family pictures at Jackson Frazier wetland and it was beautiful 💕
Omg, I can only imagine how amazing those pictures look. That's such a cool place. 💚
You were correct the waterfront park was on the other side of the river
Great video glad to see your adventures .
The wetlands are extra wet today!
Yay comments are back :)
Those Wetlands would make a good Dream sequence in a movie 🎥 or maybe even a book if you know anyone writing one lol
I might know someone. 😂 Yea, I'm so happy to have comments again! Woo-hoo!
This was fab. Now I'm craving a board walk, walk!
Do it! I'd like to see some boardwalk trails in your part of the world.

Glad your back and your comments are turned on👍 Hello from Medford
It feels good to be back. And yes to the comments! 😆 I've missed them.

Awesome! I'll have to go see that covered bridge sometime. Thanks for all the great info. :)

Ah, I figured there must be one somewhere. Google maps misled me, haha. Thank you so much for the info! :)

Oh, thanks for the info! Cottage Grove is definitely on my radar, and the bridge trail sounds interesting. Good luck to your son's college journey! 💚
Hi Jinx, Very beautiful walk. Yum coffee ☕ Love Oregon. Going up after Christmas ⛄. Have a fun family holiday 🎄 Christmas 🎄!
I hope you have a fun (and safe) trip! :)
I really like your video s
