I disagree, They were just trying to give him perspective but obviously they didn't fully understand what Makwa was trying to get across. Makwa's a purist at heart but they were just trying to get him to understand that, his ways of good intentions won't always help in this cut throat music industry. In the music industry you need to do things by the book to protect yourself and the people you provide for. Being good alone won't serve you any good. Hope I make sense.

Mechanical Rights only exist once a song is complete and u start reproducing it.In this case producing/reproducing means making copies of original recording to different mediums such as CD,DVD,usb etc,so the moment u start coping, there is your mechanical. What Makwa is explaining there sounds like a copyright in publishing which is intellectual property right of musical composition and Lyrics as far as songs are concerned. The owner of the computer or keyboard is legally not entitled to anything in this case, since the right is based on creativity.
I first heard of this Podcast through Makwa's live and after listening to this interview I just had to subscribe, appreciation Gents for hosting the hits maker in Mzansi.

To me the whole thing sort of sounds like leeroy and nota were chowing the money together, kwesta caught on and started wanting his cut... leeroy and nota started paying kwesta and expected kwesta to pay makea...so kwesta was also pissed cause nota and leeroy were not paying makwa from their cut why did it have to be him etc so wa ngala naye.
True... Specially because they all had no contracts... I am learning so much from all of this shit. It's a lot of lessons...
Y’all interviewers need to give these guys a chance to express themselves and not interrupt them, that guy in green pants clearly against Makwa and not helping nx.
I agree with you bro 100%
Bro!!!
He is trying so hard to defend Nota...
That boi hes so defensive n too emotional. I hope they will learn some few things from this interview
Really enjoyed this Podcast.🙌🏿🔥🥰 Power to Makwa. So much to learn from your experience, not just for the music industry but from all of them. You're now a healer in this music biz. I pray you never get abused again, by anyone. May God shield and protect you from any bad energy. And may he multiply on all your losses. Continue to make great music bro and hone new skills... To the presenters, its my first time watching but def keep going guys. Great job, very engaging and interactive🌟🔥🙌🏿... Great interviewing skills and fluidity in the room.
Shout out to Makwa for taking accountability on his part
Kwesta deserves some of the blame too. There is no way in hell he was out of the loop and caught blind sided. Something's fishy here.
Yeah
We need to hear his side of the story.
Did you watch his interview with MacG?
@LadyFunk2019 I am a chilla.
@@LadyFunk2010 yeah i watched and he was running around in circles, failing to give answers. He said he knew nothing about how money was spent, even though he was part owner of the label.
This eyeglasses guy is ruining the whole thing by interrupting Makwa man. 🤦🏾♂️
Makwa I wish all the best dawg, I'm behind you 100% I hope one day I'll be able to work with you bro. Shout out to The Sobering Podcast 🙏💯🔥
Nota is not a nice guy and its funny how he is the one who started opening his mouth

@@highandmightyqueen79 Register the podcast into his name 😆😆
@@lungisanjila1689 I would not be shocked if he did
Makwa deserved so much better from a financial and humane perspective. I hope he believes in his greatness a lot more now. Shoutout to the gents for another really dope episode. Lance Stehr, come on the show!
Makwa as much as u want to help, put things on paper my guy. 🤞
Word
There’s a difference between helping and investing-the man wants to help.and.where he wants to benefit I’m sure he will make it clear now that he is aware of how split sheets work
Big up for the interview / intervention magents. Y'all might've saved this mans life with this.
Why are u guys defending Maphorisa, angisho the guy is telling you nje!!! 😡😡😡😡
I also don't understand why are they so defensive but the guy was actually there and we all weren't😏
This thing of the guys being fans of majita is gonna kill the pod. These guys wanna hear the narrative they want pushed of their faves.
This was messy
S/O Makwa and the gents. Dope interview 🙌🏾

Free private school for them, no more excuses.
This is the best interview i've watch.....Big up Makwa..i believe in this guy
Makwa is serious about business, he has been learning a lot behind doors and now he will do a lot for himself
Makwa Keep grinding boy...The universe always rewards good energy. You the truth

I love the fact that he still wants to be a qualified sound engineer.
Makwa is a good homie. The industry mf will always come for the kind.
Guy with the green pants?!🙄 Please interview him instead in the next episode because wow?! 😐
So condescending. He thinks he’s being critical 😑
I hate what these guys are doing
The guy in the military is trying too hard 🤦♂️🤦♂️Arrg ..He already picked a side before the interview started.
New segment...
Cut aways
They scared to comment on maphorisa lol 😂🤣mxm these guys
You saw that too.

Makwa all the best. You smart and keep pushing.
I first heard of this Podcast through Makwa's live and after listening to this interview I just had to subscribe, appreciation Gents for hosting the hits maker in Mzansi.
Siri a re "Ekse! Yho!! Ke nyuku e baaie blind". 😂😂😂😂
Nna I get Makwa and what he wants to do he wants to be the guy he wish he had in life big ups to that grootman.
Senzo and Makwa need each other. The dudes understands one another when it comes to sounds. Its like Reece and Mashbeats. Its just sad that the dudes didnt really know each other personally(Senzo&Makwa) but only with music. You would swear they knew one another since ku amajita wasekasi
Real convo gents, it felt like I myself was in studios..shout-out Gents 😅🤘🏾
MAKWA PUSH MZONKONKO IT WILL BE A SUCCESS🙏🏾🙏🏾
Pro I definitely will pay for him to get lawyer to get his money and everybody who needs to be paid from that rap lyf please guys let's get lawyers to help those guys
Let’s push this comment 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Just for clarity. “Mechanical Rights refers to the royalties earned by composers, authors, lyricists and publishers when their musical works are physically reproduced, for example on a CD, hard drive or cellphone.” 🙏🏾
Exactly! Rarely, if ever about whose equipment was used
True
That's how I know it too hence Mechanical Distribution . There's performance and and there's Mechanical.
