i don’t know why this channel ended. if it was because people weren’t watching, i’d like to say that people were flat wrong. it’s such a beautiful addition to the blogotheque style of music videos. thoughtfully shot, the intros are so beautifully, authentically human, and the music curated with such a focus on artistry. whoever you are who shot these, i hope you’re doing very well, and making even more beautiful stuff that makes you and others happy. and if not, i hope you keep making these videos. it was working.
Was a passion project I made in my spare time. Many other channels started doing the same, but as a business model (Mahogany etc). There comes a point where volume devalues what's unique and money devalues the intent. I didn't want to be a part of that. As a creative experiment, I'm humbled by the audiences and artists who appreciate it.
@@watchlistentell this is by far one of my favorite videos on the Internet, so I can definitely say I'm happy you captured this moment to share with all of us. Much thanks 🤙🏼
I also think that the artists got something out of this too. It is a change from playing in front of thousands on a stage. They look more relaxed and I can feel they played from the heart. Playing in a public park and jamming out will always bring a uplifting feeling. As a viewer it is something special. Thanks WTL!
2023 and this recording will always have a special place in my heart. It’s bringing back so many memories of a different period in my life whilst staying totally timeless.
watchlistentell was one of the best. All these years later, I can see why you stopped! "There comes a point where volume devalues what's unique and money devalues the intent" - truer words never typed mate.
I remember myself finding this video when it had 100 views, and now I come back to watch the video- and it has over a million. And it's 6 years I'm listening to this song. strange
This is, simply, a perfect song, and Bombay Bycicle Club are one of the best bands (if not THE best) on this planet. I hope they'll get the recognition they deserve.
I hate how most people only like songs because they're in the charts, or because they're recent. It's gotten to the point where the songs in the charts all sound the same. But because they're new, people automatically like them. It makes me sad to see what music has turned into. This is what a good song sounds like. Not auto-tuned, no stupid video, just proper music and real singing. Some people have forgotten what that is.
Another quality video, big respect to what you guys are doing, and to Bombay Bicycle Club. thank you for bringing beautiful music and videos like this to the world! Pure Bliss.
I absolutely have my favorite acoustic performances, But can not help over seven years keep listening to this. Amazing sound so perfectly orchestrated!
Young Karl More an acknowledgement of how hilariously shy and awkward they are but it kind of just adds to the greatness of the video. Still, Bombay Bicycle Club =
These guys really can hold thier heads high in the "inde" world of the modern age. They have really given something special and remarkable that has been unseen from previous bands of similar genre. The music can manage itself in almost any tempo, and volume, managing to keep the bruitaly georgeous lyrics with some astonishing instrumental flares. These guy's are far too kind to us! I feel like saying "really bombay bicycle club, you shouldn't have!". My greatest respect to you 4 boys.
This is still hands-down my favourite Watchlistentell. Although Absynthe Minded's "Envoi" and TDCC's "Something Good Can Work" are close seconds. But this is just...beautiful. So beautiful.
This band have such a natural tone to their sound, its hard to find musicians like this these days. I really hope they go far as they are seriously underrated
Watch listen tell! You were such an inspiration to me growing up. I dreamt of making a band and finding you to film us in moments like this. I miss your videos, please come back! I come back to all your videos when I’m feeling down they make me feel great! Been a follower since 2012
Bombay Bicycle Club can basically pull off any one of their studio recorded songs just as stunningly in acoustic form, it's refeshing to find such a raw and honest band.
Anyone notice how Jack blinks his eyes at the beginning of this video he's so adorable OMG and the fact that he's such an awesome musician just adds to the reason I love him!!!
This is the video I play at this time of year where it's cold and wet, to remind me that Spring is coming soon. It's coming. I cannot wait for those hazy sunshine days...

Lyrics:
It's that ancient love
That you won't outgrow
It's the fee you pay
It's the debt you owe
Is that subtle way
That you throw me down
I am inches above
The dust on the ground
I await your call
I await your crown
Lets change our roads
And chase them all around
Is that subtle way
You throw me down
I am inches above
The dust on the ground
And all is quiet
All is quiet now
And all is silent
All is silent now
Now I don't hide it
I don't hide it now
It's that ancient love
That just moves along
And there's an itch so slight
Even when you're gone
Well I met you right
But I kept your wrong
And I must wait until I've found the ground that you are walking on
And all is quiet
All is quiet now
And all is silent
All is silent now
Now I don't hide it
I don't hide it now
Now I don't hide it
I don't hide it now
