I come back to this song when things are confusing or tough. As said, so many different emotions. Each time I have come back to listen over the years I reflect back to the other points in my life when I would play this song. It really is a lovely rendition of this song.
Peter Liddle was with me 10 years ago at Delhi and we watched Manganiyar Seduction together at NH7 Weekender. I went there alone from Mumbai. I still can't forget that experience. I never imagined such a talented musician would just stand beside me and enjoy a beautiful musical performance together as if we were friends. I have a photograph saved somewhere with him. I will never forget it.
Back again. Watched them cancel a gig in a rainstorm in Norway. Only to play an acoustic gig in the sound tent where the rain and wind was faced the other way. Everybody cried and it was the best day/gig ever.
His voice stirs emotions in me, its frail and beautiful, like he is about to burst out in tears and a something made of glass is quivering when he sings, ready to break if he sings louder

He was interested and looked them up. Annnnnnnd he told me they had split four days prior. After that I was sad and didn't listen to them for a while. I'm glad to be listening again. I had a dream recently whereby myself and the lead singer were stood within a circle. I was pointing out the massive, deep circle of young people who were peacefully sitting on the grass, waiting patiently. I hope this proves to be a good omen for the band. :-)
