Excellent tip! I never thought to baste the pile inside. You can also cut FF with a fresh razor blade for no mess. Just slice through the backing thread only without touching the pile
Why cut it without a seam allowance? Even though the zigzag is only 5mm, that's a combined 10mm you're pulling from the final piece -- doesn't that affect the fit?

This is so helpful! I have a poorly half sewn faux fur vest, now I feel confident to finish it 😊
I’m so glad to hear this is helpful!🤗
Really helpful to baste stitch first, thank you for this excellent video!
This is very helpful. Thank you for sharing this with us.😊
If the cuts are made without seam allowance the garment will be smaller by the width of the zigzag.
Great tips - I haven’t sewn faux fur yet but I’m ready 😊
Perfect tip! I picked up a roll of FF at HL to decorate a festive serater.
Cut the fuax fur with the hairs down. Keep the bottom of the cisors against the fabric and yiur wont have as many loose hairs and cut the hairs short.
This is great, thank you.
That was such a good tutorial but please put in needle requirements and type of cotton as I am a beginner
oh my gosh what horrible timing, i JUST finished a quick faux fur project and i did it very wrong haha- i'll definitely remember this next time!
What happen if we use seam allowance?
Great tips. Can this be done on a serger?
Better do this with zigzag - this way, the seams won’t overlap when seam is opened and fur will lay nicer🤗

@@lindablock-love5750 I think her zigzag looked like it was only 2 or 3 mm wide, so it takes only about 5 mm total, probably.
