    I can’t disagree. I own 2 V3s and have converted both. One to a competition gun, 10+1 rounds. The other was a 28” barrel that I swapped out with an 18.5” barrel and a +3 mag tube. I can actually get 7 rounds in the tube depending on the ammo manufacturer. It’s very similar to the Tactical version. Haven’t been able to get a Tac-13 just yet but it’s on the list. Thanks for the video!

    I would advise to not modify your brace in any way, specially adding tape to make it sturdier the ATF could consider it a stock and that has happened before.

    It's a shame that remington went bankrupt right at the time they started making this firearm. It's literally a poor mans benelli m4 entry. The gas system and trigger group are almost identical to a benelli m4. Major differences being the shell lifter and the recoil spring system which in my opinion is better designed than the benelli.

      Wasn’t even remingtons fault that they went bankrupt either. Corrupt politicians passing garbage legislation allowing bereaved relatives of a tragedy the permission to sue a company for actions an individual took with thier product.

      Dude, as others have said. Do not modify your brace.
      If you are not shooting with the brace "mostly as it's intended purpose" you run the risk of it being termed a short barrelled shotgun, rather than a firearm with an arm brace.
      Matters to the law ...

    Your assertion that the birds head grip is a novelty item caught my eye, since most people who have used weapons like this agree that the “pistol grip” configuration is a poor choice, putting too much stress on the wrist. This includes the FBI and Secret Service, who use the birds head grip on their witness protection guns like this.

    Thanks for the detailed video. I'm a fellow UA-camr and a new subscriber to your channel. One thing, there is a very effective technique of shooting the bird-head grip that many of us have mastered. It allowed us to quickly aim the weapon using the bead sight and shot it on par with a full buttstock. This technique tames the recoil of this beast in it's original configuration.

    I bought the brace, but it defeats the real advantage of the Tac 13 so I removed it and went back to the factory birds head. This firearm has very low recoil even in the birds head configuration. You need to check out Norman Smith on UA-cam shooting his Tac 13 as I shoot mine loaded with Federal Flight Control Buckshot at 25 yards and you will not describe the weapon as a novelty item. The arm brace takes away your ability to put the weapon into fast deployment in a vehicle or in the tight confines as a home defense weapon. Mine is fitted with a Baldr Pro high intensity green laser/weapon light with blinding strobe. I carry mine in a custom made narrow closed top leather covered box mounted on the right side of the center console of my supercharged Chrysler 300S. It does not interfere with the passenger legroom and is as quick and easy to get into play as the 9MM pistol in my glove compartment. It is also legal to carry loaded in that mode. With the brace installed it must be carried unloaded in a car or truck passenger compartment defeating the purpose of having it!

    • @TK-zw3dw
      @TK-zw3dw 3 роки тому +1

      I definitely agree, much handier with the birds head grip. Why would the brace being installed lead to it having to be unloaded in a vehicle. From my understanding on a “firearm” the brace doesn’t change the weapon’s classification.

    • @charlesmarshall2697
      @charlesmarshall2697 3 роки тому +1

      @@TK-zw3dw In most states the law says a loaded pistol must be inside a closed compartment( does not have to be locked). That means the Tac13 at 26 inches on total length could be carried inside a narrow 27 inch long flip top box. I built one and mounted it against the right side of the console of my Chrysler 300S . I'm building another to fit next to the console of my truck. That allows it to be carried legally as it is classified as a pistol. I keep mine loaded with 6 Federal flight control 00 Buckshot. I can't imagine any other pistol that could be any more lethal to defend myself with.

    • @PewLand
      @PewLand 3 роки тому +1

    Hey my dude, polite suggestion, take this video down immediately. I’m a prior ATF compliance officer for a manufacturer and you have 100% made an NFA item here.
    The catch is that we’re all used to including buffer tubes in OAL measurements because it’s necessary for operation on an AR pistol, but it is not necessary on these “firearms” so it’s an “accessory” and does not contribute to overall length. Measure your tax-13 from the tip of the muzzle strait back as far as the rear corner of the vertical pistol grip, and it’s gonna be less than 26”, making this an AOW. It’s a $5 stamp instead of a $200 stamp for an SBS, but it’s still the same felony charge.
    There was a shop that got yoked up over this for selling CZ scorpions with folding braces and vertical fore grips as “firearms” but they wound up being AOW or SBR’s when the ATF found out about them.
    SB tactical should never have made/sold these braces.

    • @Jake077

      So the Remington 870 tac-14 would also be an NFA item right?

    • @eriklorentzen6510
      @eriklorentzen6510 2 роки тому

    100% illegal SBR build. Brace is not required for this firearm to function and you've added some shorter more vertical hand rip reducing the over all firearm length bellow 26 inches. Grip is required for firearm to properly be used and function therefore its considered as a measurable part of firearm that is 26 inches of of longer not to be considered an SBR. Brace is a luxury item and adds nothing to the function or SBR regulation act.
