Dear Emma, I can't believe this class was 1 hour long because it went by so fast! Your sequences are so creative and your transitions seamless that I don't even think to look at how much time has passed. Total Presence! Thank you! And I appreciate you saying that at the end. I don't do any social media because it's so easy to get sucked in to a world of fake and pretense. The Maia (illusion) swallowing us whole, so... no, thank you. Yoga is important for all the reasons you mentioned. And at the same time that it humbles me, it makes me feel resilient and strong (mind, body, spirit). I too appreciate you being straight to the point and not talking much, but when you do talk, what you say is relevant, and even that is to the point! Hear, Hear!💝👍🌼
Thank you so much, Karen! I really appreciate this. When I started teaching, I felt like I had to say something inspirational/motivating after every class, and ended up rambling on a lot. Now if I have something to share, I will, but usually just an Om & Namaste to close it out :)
@@emmapigeonyoga I totally get it. I taught yoga for 6 years and I too felt like I had to say something inspirational and motivating. But that wasn't me... so it ended up feeling superficial and forced. When I let go of that self-imposed habit, I focused more on the quality of my Presence for my Self and for everyone in class. That way, my cues were clearer and the sequences flowed better. This ended up being the majority of positive feedback that I'd get after class. So, when I own who I am and do what feels natural to me, the most meaningful things come through effortlessly.
That may well have been my favorite flow ever. So much fun and so creative without being overly difficult. Thank you so much for making my day so much better. ❤🧘♀
Emma, love, love this class! Your sequencing is so great, it reaches everything during class. Please, don't ever apologize for speaking your mind. People will hear what they need to hear at the moment that is relevant for them. If not, they can leave it. Thank you for being an amazing teacher!
I love your flows so much that I don't think twice before rolling out my mat. I have EDS and I'm hypermobile and your flows help calm down my nervouse system. I also don't think you talk too much at all I usually get overwhelmed with cues but your cues (ease vs effort really helps me not sink into my hypermobility) really are super informative! And they pass by sooo fast no way that was 1 hour! I woke up feeling like a ran a marathon because of my EDS and god bless you I feel so much better now
Thank you so much for this amazing feedback! I'm so glad my practices help find the balance of effort and ease :) Let me know if you're ever in the Phoenix area and I'd love to have you in a class!
Thank you so much Emma, not boring at all, loved that you explained what the yoga practice is and that is about learning life, love your classes always look forward to them thank you!!!
I’m so bad yoga but this was absolutely awesome - great pace and hard work even though I was seldom in the right place! I will learn 😀 Thank you Emma and hope your shoulder is better 😀🙏🏻
Thank you, Max! Glad you enjoyed this class - this was a fast-paced and intermediate class for sure. Stick with it! I'm glad you enjoyed it and hope you check out some of my other classes too :)
I loved the dynamic flow. This class was pure zen. Thank you for your great work spreading the joy and benefits of yoga. I learned being in the present while on the mat. Still working on that outside the mat. Such an amazing message about non judgement, probably takes a life time and patient practice to master this. Namaste.
Yesssss the Om symbols are back (I love all your backgrounds, but this one and the ones with the chakras symbols are my favs !) 😀😀 Will do this class tomorrow if my knee allows me to, in order to close my week of work !
Yes, yoga helps for life and we take it with us outside of the mat. I don't follow all the yamas and niyamas, but aparigraha is smg I appreciate practising in everyday life. I like when you talk about yoga philosophy, esp. bc you don't go too deep into the details. It's our responsability, as students, to dig into those principes, if we feel ready for this.
Starting the video to practice, I felt like “ahhh it’s 1 hrs class and body is gonna get little sore “ but awesome class , I didn’t even realize that when this 1 hr got over 😅…. Your classes are so nicely curated ❤… Thanku so much for the lovely class!!!!!
Beautiful practice Emma….always admire the way you combine & intermix different poses in order to use all the sides of the mat. Always a complete 360 degrees practice both literally and figuratively. Please take care of your left shoulder & I was you a speedy recovery ❤️🩹. Thank you so very much for sharing your experiences, practices and thoughts 🤍👱🏻♀️🖤🍑💋🥰😇👌🏻🙏🏻💪🏻
Emma, this was glorious, even with the mods (can't bend this poor knee - "sliding plane of the knee caps is stucked" , says the chiropractician😭). With all those direction changes, and the seamless moves, I didn't see time flying ! Just added a fun variation: reverse bound half moon on my good leg instead of twisted lunge 😉 Thank you fopr this class that cleared my mind and apeased me to start the weekend 🙏🙏 P.S. : from someone dealing with rotator cuff injury since 3 yrs : next time you go to the gym, do some internal/external rotation -th your arm bent at 90 degrees, using a very light band attached to one point. Very efficient shoulder warm up, can help prevent injuries or funky sensations in this delicate joint.
Dear Emma thank you very much for this new lesson. Emma this is a great lesson and l appreciate it so much! Every time more and more creative, varied and genious jobs. How can you create so many unusal lessons? GOD BLESS YOU Cecilia
Haha, honestly I am not sure! I reuse a lot of similar transitions and poses but try to keep it fresh and interesting. Thank you for the wonderful feedback!

I totally agree with what you said at the end of class❤. I used a wheel for a shoulder stand as I can’t still do it on my own😅
