Great video! It would be great if you do the light breakdown video. Also, what wireless monitor sistem you reccomend? Something in this range $300-$700. Thanks
Thank you for the explanations and clips showing how focus pulling is carried out. I have a late model Sony using AF most of the time and I was interested to see how professionals manage manual focus. (didn't know TBH) Very interesting - Craig, Durban.
shooting while pulling focus is so much fun. i actually feel more engaged with what im shooting (you have to be) autofocus just became so lazy to me, i still use it every now and then but majority of the time im using manual now
Very nice explanation !! U rocks ! Wich wireless transmitter were u using ? Cuz we see a lot of new product in this area but most with latency and it's almost impossible to pull focus , in the other way of the spectrum , pro wireless transmitter get very expensive quickly....do u have some good recommandations in that way , no latency "cheap.."" alternative to share with us 🙏
Amazing video as always! And yes, I want to see a lighting breakdown! I've just bought the S5 II so I'm actually stoked about using AF coming from an all MF workflow as a solo shooter. I've never really liked the little 'scroll' focus wheel on a handle but the MagicFIZ does seem nice. I still think it shines when having a focus puller which I never have 😅
Thanks bro! Totally hear you about AF, I still love it but I'm digging the new Cine lenses so I'll be using a Focus Puller on my bigger shoots and I'll try the manual scroll wheel for some of the smaller stuff.
Wish I had the luxury of a focus puller - not only a great assistant - but also the perfect person to 'blame' when you miss a shot ( I think pulling focus must be the most thankless job in cinema!)
quick Note Jaques the your links seem to be broken! Great Video and so true, i am on the leap to get into cinema glass and it will be necessary to have a good follow focus system 😞
Dude thanks man, I fixed it! I have to say the Cinema Glass is not overrated and you'll see when you start using it, I can say that I'm happy with the SmallRig system!!!
Until you have a complicated scene where AF doesn't work. I agree AF is amazing and I use it most of the time but there's a reason the entire film industry still shoots manual
Who wants to see a lighting breakdown!?

Hey Jacques. Thank you for the video. The given links appear inactive and might need an update. Have a good one.
Hey Mickey, thank you so much man, appreciated. Thanks for letting me know regarding the links, I have fixed the error. 🙏
@@jacques_crafford Hey Jacques. I'm happy to hear. The additional value will benefit anyone interested. Glad to help. 👋

Good job bro , love DZO lens ❤
Thanks bro, I'm in love with those lenses!
What lens mount are you using for the DZO Vespids? Pretty sure they're EF/PL mount, and obviously FX3/FX30 is E-mount. Did you use DZO's mount?
Great tips as always my friend 👍🏻 I finished actually a short trailer with my FX6 still without focus puller 🙈 best cinematic greetings from germany
Thank you my friend, I think a focus puller is a big luxury that most of us with AF can go without but it's so much fun when you have it!
SmallRig is good company I like their products.
I've been using their stuff for many years, love it!
Sir you're my impersonation 🤜🏿🤛🏿🖤
So glad to hear that, thanks for supporting my channel!
awesome
Thanks bro!
👍👍👍👍
🙏🙏🙏
🤩👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💕
Thank you my friend!
It‘s newtonmeter, not nanometer.. ;)
Oh snap, you're absolutely right! Thanks for correcting
naah AF is now really good, dont need focus pullers, bye bye focus pullers
