This series really hit the spot when it came out... The music was and always will be one of the key selling points. It rouses emotions that no other music ever has. There's something so profoundly melancholic about it - an enjoyable loneliness.
In a way, Spyro represents current life. It started out as curious, fun loving childhood, and slowly drops into the truth as adulthood draws nearer, forcing us to reflect on who we really are. Spyro was, and always will be for those who play the games, deep.
The first game really showed how we're raised to think we can do whatever in the realm of decision making our parents give us. The temple freezer might literally be a literal reference to nuclear winter.
The purple dragon can wield many abilities that others cannot, including time itself. Learn to master this ability and you will be able to see things almost before they happen, but use this gift sparingly, only when circumstances demand. Manipulation of time is not to be done with out the utmost care.
New Hero of Hyrule Spyro never did strike me as the sharpest tool in the shed, a tool yes but a terribly blunt one. Cynder on the other hand became dafter as the games went along.
this reminds so much of The Chronicler... God bless the souls who came up with him! I wish I could go to his study and read with him for hours and hours... :'D *sigh* how happy I would be if I did! I love his quote! "Our path through life is not always the path we choose. Sometimes our paths are chosen for us, and it is our destiny to follow it, wherever it may lead..." :'D *tears of joy* I will always love you Chronicler! (not in a wrong way)
Sure glad you liked it! From this franchise I mostly listen to The Temple music, The Celestial Caves, Burned lands (1 and 2), Seeking out the Hermit (dunno if thats the name) and Twilight Falls. If the studies get real frustrating and you´re on the peak of giving it all up The Catacombs (fighting) is encouraging too ;). Sorry if I got abit carried away there, plz let me now if you want more recommendations.I have a whole stock of good game music for the studies.
Holy shit, has it really been almost a decade since I first heard this masterpiece? Wow. (I personally prefer the classic games but this trilogy still had great music in its own right)
2:45 That part alone has already hit me hard with that nostalgic feeling, it's so overwhelming I just can't even describe anything else! I miss those good ol days with Spyro...
This beautiful song.. makes me want to fall asleep.. and dream that the world was a better place.. and no wars or any harm would come upon earth. I love spyro so much, it’s still my favorite game after all these years.
This song always makes me think of the cosmos. I adore this tune, so pretty. I took my time through the level just to hear it and enjoy the scenery. Thanks for putting it up!
@purplefury101 same here... when I'm angry about something, I remember his Ice quote... and I feel calmer and better... "Do not let your fire control you, there are other elements at play here. The power of Ice also moves through you, just as the chilled winds whip through your wings..." Sometimes I actually feel like I can harness the elements when I recite his quotes to the elements... :') I wish he were real and that I could read with him for hours!
2019, and still listening the Legendary Spyro Trilogy soundtrack today. Don't get me wrong, the classic are incredible, but the Legends were nice too. A New Beginning is my favorite, because that's was when I had a big huge crush on Cynder (my first non-human fictional character crush), and after that I wasn't the same guy ever since, and I don't regret it. Ha!
@UndeadRulez1 indeed, this melody makes us all feel that there's a better place out there... even the dreams in this game makes me feel that this world is below acceptable... that there should be more... more to life...
Every time I’d play spyro when I was younger I’d just run around some areas for ages simply to listen to the soundtrack, kind of miss those days to be honest
Out of all the soundtracks in TLoS, this is my favourite one. The music is so relaxing, calming and soothing like a pillow conducting a orchestra of soft tunes.
I think im going to play The Eternal Night now. Oh and play this song when you are playing the level Burned lands it makes it very peaceful and sad for some reason :3 And did anyone notice the song from The Valley Of Avalar at 3:11 ?
This is the lotr of ps2. I mean really. Even though the actual lotr games on ps2 were splendid too, this has the atmosphere. I love it, even though I know the tale of Spyro and Cynder from just tales and my own research this music awakens nostalgia in my heart. I wish I got to play these games ages ago.
Spyro: *flys to a floating ground and walks to the edge of the fire ring before stopping* Chronicler: You seem to have abandoned your true calling. It is your destiny to harness the powers of the elements. Yet, you possess not. Spyro: I haven’t able to use my abilities for some time now. Chronicler: Yes. Right now, your powers lay dormant within you. Let’s see if we might not awaken them. Spyro: *jumps on the fire ring and closed his eyes* Chronicler: Clear your mind Spyro, and feel the fire that flows through your veins. Allow its heat consume you, and breathe with it. Now, rise up, and release the firestorm within you. Spyro: *rises up and opens his eyes and releases the fire* Chronicler: Excellent Spyro. You’re a natural. But now that a primal fire rages inside you, show me you have command of it.
Dreams are the only thing I have left, what is this world worth with its "Work a job, get educated, retire and die." system of life, sorry, but our world does not deserve music like this, our world is to plain and worthless...
To me the Dream Sequence level is a rekarkened version of Convexity only with the imploded portle replaced by 2 dragon statues and whatever that thing it was spyro visited and looked into that celestial pool that allowed him to communicate with the chronicler over long distances from the Dream Realm to the Celestial Caves of the White Isle.
I love this track, but since I sometimes had to play a part of a dream 50 or a hundred times, it has grown thinner. so basically, it still rocks, it just isn't as fat as it was before. I had problems with the floating platfroms, especially in the ice dream
Realise Wealsy Groth that Crash Bandicoot is fine, except the theme songs of that game series don't have relaxing types, as you hear this theme song Dreams you can't overpower it and the game?
@@621Chopsuey Yeah and I mean, this series is very much like it especially the fight between Dark Spyro and Gaul but the good thing is it's not trying to be like ATLA, it's just inspired but not to the point it's the same thing.
As terrible and cheap as the game was, I still loved the soundtrack so much. The soundtrack and storyline are the only positive things I can say about this game.

This is especially true when you factor in the original games.
The first game really showed how we're raised to think we can do whatever in the realm of decision making our parents give us. The temple freezer might literally be a literal reference to nuclear winter.

Darkenfell Stormfire I knew you would remember. Life seeks out balance young dragon.

This theme helped keep me from throwing up when I was sick one day, how? I love this theme but seriously, this is crazy.
I wish I could find a 10 hour version of this... It's just too relaxing.

I love how all of the songs from the whole trilogy have similar melodies, but are changed a bit to match the mood of the game.
Indeed. 😊👍
This is the kinda stuff that makes you think "time.... Where you go? Stop flying so fast, please :(" you know what I mean?....

@GeneralRatKingLord That was beautiful. It very much mirrors our own lives.
Out of all the soundtracks in TLoS, this is my favourite one. The music is so relaxing, calming and soothing like a pillow conducting a orchestra of soft tunes.
I love how you described it
The music really fits with the name of the track
The last part sounds like it should go with a video of sparkling stars. This game wouldn't be half as amazing without the music.
oh wow all these years of playing these games only just realised at 3:11 the main theme of TLoS is playing so quietly if you listen carefully
