      Taking your advice to heart, (dreaming big, starting small) and your book is on its way to my home, thanks to Tanya sharing about it on her channel! Thank you for sharing your journey Liz!❤️

    I am a 20 year old Puerto Rican woman, homeschooled all of my life in the heart of New York City. This video has truly been an inspiration to me. Where I am I never thought someone like me could have a beautiful garden. I have seen beautiful, fruitful gardens created and cared for by mature, able bodied men all around the world, and maybe I haven’t been looking hard enough, but I stumbled on this video and I never felt so encouraged. Thank you so much for this, subscribed!

    I understand exactly what Liz is talking about. I worked an incredibly stressful corporate job for 15 years. Right after I left, I was diagnosed with MS, which is brutal. I have put my efforts into building a garden. It's both very hard and very helpful.

    Wow, so user friendly, plus if you have a visitor who has a chair, they get to enjoy it, not just look at a distance. Fantastic.

    I remember watching a video of her story a while back and it is amazing to me how many people start their gardens and self sufficient life because they were ill and hearing how much it saved them in so many ways is so amazing and inspiring to me. I have family who are farm hands so I always wanted a huge garden and loved the life but my husband did not lol but when I began to get really ill myself and barely functioning like we were all use to me being I became very determined growing some of my own food and working outside would help me to get better and after my first year he decided it was absolutely a huge difference in my mental and physical health while we looked to buy a new house this yr he was just as insistent on me having gardening space as I was it works it helps heal so many ways 💗💗💗 I will add lizzes book to my list of books im buying this yr as well as yours is on my list as soon as its here in the US

      Your story is just as inspiring as Liz...maybe as most people think he maybe just never thought it was necessary! Everyone has a certain activity or hobby that keeps them grounded and brings joy into their life and it took you becoming I'll to make him realize oh wow now is the time ..he sees it makes you happy to garden and like you said it's helped you and probably him mentally! What better medicine to consume then right from your very own home grown garden! Great story!

    Great and inspiring video. I have been declining in health and have been mostly in a wheelchair the past 5 years. Unfortunately, I live on a steep hillside and gardening is nearly impossible at this point because of the hill. I keep hoping I will get better, at least enough to be able to get out into my yard again. If it wasn't for the hill, I think I would be in better health because I would still be able to get out there in small sessions.

    I have only had one small garden last year, so I'm a newbie. I'm curious though... if you sell the food in advance, what happens if you don't get the harvest you had hoped for? What if you don't have enough lbs to cover the orders because of some unforeseen issue?

    • @Lovelygreens

      Then your business fails. Farming is hard work and you are at the mercy of the season and your prior planning. This is one reason that we need to appreciate local independent growers even more!

    • @PrettyPsychedBeauty
      @PrettyPsychedBeauty 3 роки тому +1

      @@Lovelygreens Absolutely! It gives me anxiety just imagining that. It might be because I'm very new to gardening and I don't have the skills to be confident, yet, but I definitely could not pre-sell and believe it's going to turn out. I am in awe of those that know enough that they can!

      You need to be able to be condition in your growing skills and able to grow what you eat yourself first. Start slow, learn much, then go for it :)
