HOW TO USE A BEAUTY BLENDER

- My beauty blender is a product I can't live without, but if you aren't using it correctly you aren't getting all the benefits from this tiny sponge! I'll show you how to use it correctly to apply liquid foundation, concealer, highlight, contour and even powder plus how to clean it.

i recently found out that you need to wet it before putting ur foundation on i was literally struggling so much😭

something i think saves more product is putting foundation on your skin like maybe spread it on your skin and THEN go in w the beauty blender. that way you aren soaking foundation into the sponge when you aren't even finished half of your face
YES, that is why I have been hesitant to use this technique because I feel like it will absorb all the makeup so i just put it on with a brush then tap with the BB to make the streaks of the brush go away.
Wetting the blender first prevents it from absorbing much product, I've found.

It is a lot of products with same quality like Puffy Bunny makeup blender. I'm not entirely clear why all prefer BB instead to try something different. In the end your BB will be functional 2 months and with active use even less.

This was a revelation to me as 'all this time' I was using those blender sponges the same as I use those white makeup sponge wedge dealies and of course didn't see any difference at all. But NOW the angels are singing and I am going to try this next time I put on my face. Thank you Marianna! xoxo
Ah! Thank you for actually explaining HOW to apply foundation/concealer and all of that stuff. I have homecoming up, and neither myself or any of my friends have any clue how to use makeup, but they're depending on me to help them (a.k.a. do their makeup for them). So thanks!

how do you make it look so easy?! Your foundation went on so flawlessly with me I always end up getting it i my eye or something and it's a whole hassle
person t when you are blending near your eye blend it with the pointed side of the blender and look upwards while you are blending the product.
So excited you did this tutorial! I bought one and def. needed a lesson!

Most brushes are not really making the makeup blend well into the skin.

Great how-to Marianna! I think it's definitely important to wet the sponge entirely before squeezing out the excess as you mention. I've heard of many people not wetting it at all and that makes for such a different user experience. Love it for tapping out excess coverage as well :) xx

I love this video! I can send this to my friends who I've been trying to get to use beauty blenders. They're trying to stay old school, with the white triangle sponges but no friends of mine can stay stuck in the 90's on makeup sponges!!

Thank you SO much for this tutorial!! Got my usual stash at Sephora today, and it was the first time I was asked "how do you apply your makeup?" I'm 45, so fingers - duh. She was like yea, you need to use the beauty blender. She gave me a quick run though on how to use but you showed all of the great ways TO use it. She suggested the solid cleanser to clean the sponge so hope I didn't make a mistake there LOL.

Helpful video. Thank you. I did not know that a smaller blender was available. I am new to wearing foundation, this video showed me how to use the blender to achieve a natural finish. I liked that you put concealer under your eyes, with one side using the smaller blender and the other side using a regularly sized beauty blender. Both blenders nicely incorporated the concealer under the eyes, which blender someone uses would definitely be a personal preference to what they prefer.

Thanks for the video. I have a question though, whenever I use my BeautyBlender (original/nude), I tend to get a "stippled" effect on my skin instead of a smooth one. Am I using it wrong, or is it maybe the foundation itself or my skin?

They come with a little instruction leaflet in the packaging. I'm new to it too and by the way, get the genuine BB. Trust me, they're not all the same. Don't be like me and waste $10 to save $5! Now I've got the real one, I'm in love with how bouncy it is. Makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE! 😊

Dampen Hot Sponge for Foundation!I hate putting cold foundation on my face,so I dampen my blender in hot water in my foundation of my choice feels so great!I do that every time on my makeup routine!!
