@@richierock1300 awesome video. Took me eight hours to find the answers that your video provided. No one could tell me which way the seals faced or if i need one for each line. You gave me the answer. thank you!
I did mine before I saw this. I had no idea you had to tap those seals in. I thought he Line pushed them in . A couple bottles of ps fluids and a couple more seals and I should be in business lol. Thanks for showing the seal instillation. I will try again this weekend. Wish me luck
i have the same issue but My rack is leaking from one of the lines on the opposite side of of the rack than your fix (hydralic lines) do you know if these seals fit on those lines as well? When i took it apart there was only an O-ring on each line. I am tearing my hair out with this leak.
gotcha. that makes sense. I was having alot of trouble finding what I needed. Thanks for your quick response and advice. Also the video was super helpful.@@richierock1300
My friend did my lines and they leaked afterwards. I'm re-doing the seals now, but he said to slip the seals over the ends of the lines and then tighten them down. Maybe that's how they got damaged?
Wow thats insane, no way im taking all that apart just for a inch or 2 more space. I can reach it without taking all that out just cant see it. I cant afford a mechanic rt now which is why im doing this myself but not going that far. With my luck doing all that would cause a whole lot more problems. Now if i can just find a 8mm socket thatll actually fit between the lines to undo the bolt.😢
I just did the main line to rack and it keeps leaking at the seals. Buy watching this video I learned now to replace the seals as you good . Me and my village thank you
Broski your video just got me outta major bind I've never seen a cup seal on a power steering lol keep up the good work 👍💪 💯
Excellent video, great job of showing the seals location!
Thanks , stupid design wouldn’t be to bad if it had better access

Wow. You did sooooo much extra work. I replaced both of my lines laying in the driveway.
Well kind of hard to show someone on video where the seals are actually at so no big deal I’ll show where they are and replace them

would you know what size bolt is used to attack the lines to the rack?
Well done!! Don't see getting seals in without removing half shaft..
Well if you do it will give you a lot more room that’s for sure
thanks; saved me a lot of time!

The lines from the pump leaking or the lines on the rack
its the lines on the rack. i think its refered to as the hydraulic transfer tube. There are 2 that run along the rack, its the longer of the 2.
Yeah those come with the rack unless get a used one and switch out the lines

Maybe , they need to be seated in the rack pinion first

can anyone tell me what size bolt is used to attached both lines?
@@toneybatts1972 6 mm and about 16mm long
