Crowdstrike is the software that runs on millions of Windows computers and is designed to Prevent cyber attacks. This malfunction is both ironic and paradoxical.

its the most reliable one that is used by most if not everyone so using another would just cause issues since you cant just do it with one system then you get some places that use another and makes it more convoluted

Windows is a dumbed down OS for average users and admins. I’ve worked with and hired both for thirty years.
Let me help you understand the difference.
Windows is GUI (graphical user interface or pictures), point and click. Literally A monkey can do it.
Linux is command line driven. You MUST know the concepts, commands and think your way through processes to do a task such as enable a storage LUN or add a user to an Access list.
Any other doubt? Go look at the average sallarías of a Linux admin versus a Windows admin. One makes much more than the other. Guess which one.
In short, the data does not support your assertion.
I have found Linux servers in closets running for years without security or hardware updates. Just humming along. Meanwhile, patch Tuesday is a bitch for all the Windows folks out there to review, assess and decide what updates to run to keep Windows server running for even half a year.

One, test before deploy. Two use a professional os not a desktop toy in mission critical roles. I like windows on the desktop, play videogames with it, etc. I wouldn't deploy it professionally, not since MS decided to use the same code across all versions for the most part.

Oh my god what the hell. THIS thing literally saved me from my IELTS exam, I had registered on a specific date and weirdly, on that specific date there were some server issues with the server. my exam got cancelled and moved to another date .

Crowdstrike needs to hire more cybersecurity analysts and senior analysts. The whole narrative of taking people in because of referrals aren't gonna cut it.... Hire people who actually know what they are doing...

Why are these mega corporations using Windows IIS or Apache on Windows instead of using Apache on Linux ?
It's more secure, flexible, and less expensive since there's no licensing fees.

It's time for companies to switch to Unix/Linux based servers. The fact that Windows is such a poorly designed operating system that it requires a third party driver to protect it, makes it an undesirable platform. CrowdStrike couldn't have tested their roll out, so they are directly to blame. The fact that Windows allowed CrowdStrike to install a defective driver is Microsoft's fault. The lawyers and courts will have to sort out what the damage $ are. I switched to Linux over 15 years ago. Switching has proven to have been a great move on my part.
