yeah that's correct, open source have very strict transparency mechanism in place, few days ago a bad code is uploaded to one widely used software's community contributed packages directory, and its been taken down after only less than 50 installs, and that suspicious account banned right away, all happened in just two hours, i only got to know this when i tried to install that package and got denied with the message that package been taken down temporally because of security reasons and will be available soon after detailed review, proprietary software companies don't have these kind of transparency but this doesn't mean every one should shift to opensource because open source is not for everyone you need to be responsible of your own security which most of us can't because of not being tech oriented

It had an internal conflict with Microsoft OS and now here we are. Too bad Kaspersky suite was banned in the USA because of politics, they are still the best security suite over all others.
