Steve, I believe the Chevy 350 V8 certainly was available in Camaro for 1969. It was the 327 V8 that went away in 1969 after being an option '67 and '68 Camaro.

350 was available but 327 was too on the early 69s. I have one.

SS 350 started in 1967-69. Could also get the LM1 350 also in non SS.

'69 Camaros and American Racing Torque Thrusts go together like peanut butter and jelly.

This was originally a V8 Camaro with the VIN for the win: 1 for Chevrolet, 2 for Camaro, 4 for V8 equipped, 37 for two door coupe, 9 for 1969 model year, N for Norwood, OH assembly, and the rest is the production sequence. The Norwood, OH plant closed in August 1987 and all production shifted to Van Nuys, CA until the end of the 1992 model year. From 1993 to 2002, production moved to St. Therese, Quebec Canada. The plant then closed.
We got the tag, we can brag: ST69 for 1969 model year, 12437 for Chevrolet (1) Camaro (24) Sport Coupe (37), NOR for Norwood, OH assembly, 711 for Black standard interior trim, 71 for LeMans Blue exterior paint, B for Black vinyl top, 10D for the fourth week of October 1968 production, and X11 for Style Trim Group. That's not correct, the 350 V8 was available in the Camaro in 1969.

Very nice Steve, you could make a junk yard rust bucket sound as if a collector would want it! Been a subscriber for a while now, great channel.

It's a shame that this generation only lasted 3 years. Awesome cars

Steve, you are right that Mark Donohue, driving for Penske, used the spoilers developed for the '69 Camaro. But, the spoilers were designed by Paul Van Valkenberg who was employed by Chevy and also helped Jim Hall of Chaparral fame. Paul wrote a book about Chevy's racing efforts called "Chevrolet = Racing?" Or, something like that. I believe the book is out of print but sometimes available as a used book.

No SS 350 for 1969? Tell that to all the owners out there. As a matter of fact Chevy introduced the 350 in the Camaro then shared it across the board.

I say, there's quite the "height" difference between the brake and petrol pedals.

An otherwise beautiful car that has unfortunately been ruined by those hideously ugly GHETTO REEHUUMS and lack of real tires.
