The Dassler brothers, Adolf ("Adi") and Rudolf Dassler, began their journey in the 1920s by founding the Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory in Herzogenaurach, Germany. Their company gained international recognition when Jesse Owens wore their shoes and won four gold medals at the 1936 Olympics. However, during and after World War II, tensions between the brothers escalated, leading to their split in 1948. Adi founded adidas, named after his nickname "Adi" and the first three letters of his last name. Meanwhile, Rudolf started Puma, originally called Ruda, from a similar combination of his name. The rivalry between adidas and Puma turned Herzogenaurach into a divided town, with each brother's factory on opposite sides. Basically, he was correct in his statement, even though the brand names adidas and Puma did not exist at the time, and they were still running a company together back then.
Created by Coca Cola, so they could keep making money dealing with the enemy . Ford also provided trucks for the Nazis . He was openly anti semitic .. Linberg was an anti semite and was about to win the election for President of the U S, when it got out that he hated Jews and lost .
Great reaction once again guys! Good point that you made about trying to put yourself in another's shoes. Don't judge, don't assume. Embrace empathy! There is always more than one side of the story.
First off, love your channel and the reractions. * polite clap * Just a few minor clarifications. Puma and Adidas were actually founded a few years after WWII (1948 and 1949 respectively, by the Dassler brothers). Volkswagen was founded right before the war while the Nazis were in power. But yes; in every developed country that went to war a large chunk of private industry is usually repurposed for the war effort. Bayer in Germany was part of the war effort. Ford Motor Company and General Motors in the U.S. were part of the war effort on our side. All of those companies existed before and after the war and just reverted back to what they had originally started doing. They have the manufacturing expertise, so that's just the way it is.
As a german VW is really shady because they profited enormously from war prisoners working for nothing in their company and they still have that moral compass today(china, brazil etc.). Many companies also are in that spot, but you have to be realistic. Of course in war if things are getting hard, all companies have to switch to war production. Thats just a normal thing every country will do if you are on the edge of losing a war. Still today i know that most of our industries can switch to a war production really quick.
It's true that Hugo Boss designed the uniforms for Hitler Youth and the factory made the uniforms for the SS, which were designed by two Germans . Hugo also joined the Nazi Party in 1931 (Hitler came to power in 1933) . The factory also used Jewish slave labor to make the suits .

In 1930s Germany, Karl Amson Joel, a Jew, was forced to give up ownership of his textile company to Josef Neckerman, a German of Aryan descent. In 1938 Joel's German citizenship was withdrawn and his firm was confiscated the following month. Via France and England, the Joels left Europe. They emigrated to Cuba. Finally, they reached the United States, where Joel started a new enterprise in 1942 in New York City.
