I was at Lowe's and they sell both. Cebu blue looks and feels better to me so I picked Cebu blue. I took big cuttings from it twice already. It grows like grass. Now I have plenty material to work with.
I'm wondering if the unfurling "problem" is more than humidity. Maybe it's affected by temperature and light. Maybe colder temperature and high humidity affects the unfurling? Maybe more light and warmth could help? Just a thought... And thank you for the video. You're so right there aren't that many videos on this houseplant.
You should still fertilize in the winter so long as the plant is putting out new growth….and your Baltic is definitely putting out new growth. Fertilize that beauty🖤
I've been wrapping mine with paper towels or toilet paper spray it and let it sit on the stuck leaves for maybe an hour and it unwrappes so much faster
Ummm. I’m kinda struggling with this particular plant for some reason? I don’t know if it just doesn’t like my house/me/store watered it too much/or if it came with some sort of pest. I’m going to try repotting it when it calms down a lil bit. But…idk I wasn’t expecting it to be this finicky and I’m not terrible with plants. So it’s kinda surprising. I’m probably not giving it something it wants. I’m gonna try more light before I repot.
@@ValleysnHillsAR ok thank you! Would you suggest just the typical, and better draining then what it’s currently in? I think that’s what you said in your video
You can’t go wrong, Blake! They both have a similar leaf shape, and the Baltic Blue is popular because the leaves will develop fenestration much earlier. Both look great in my opinion!

That’s great! Hope it’ll get fenestrations
@@ValleysnHillsAR Needs a pole 🙂 No pole-no fenestrations 😉

I find that usually repotting will solve the problem with costa farms plants!

It looks like the plant being sold as Cebu Blue by plant sellers in the southern regions of the Philippines.
Hi! What kind of soil u used when you repotted your Baltic Blue? TIA
I used miracle gro indoor potting mix with perlite. 1:1 ratio
Love that plant!
Me too! 😀
