I brought one, and it is really worth every penny...just a little heavy, but when you see you can do the job faster, nice and having so little mess to clean up.... you'll feel it worth it!!!
Great video. I just bought one of these for some ceiling work. The spring in the bag attaches to the head and will hold it place so it doesn’t fold back on you. The instructions are not clear on how to attach it but it wasn’t difficult to figure out.
I bought this one yesterday and it will be arrived next week in my country (the Netherlands) I am very exctied to try this out! I am gonna use a vacuum cleaner as well to suck up even more dust!
I have this sander, and it does a nice job with sanding and dust collection. And you will save more than $1,000 by not buying the Festool system. Attaching it to a shop vac does an even better job at collecting dust, especially at levels of 4 and above. The manual sucks, however. Luckily, it is not that difficult to put together.
Great video. I just bought one from your link and the coupon code still works. I have replaced every cracked plaster-glass ceiling in a 5 bedroom home with new insulation and new Gyprock drywall but have put off sanding because it's a dusty and choking job. With this sander I'm hoping to move the furniture to the center of the rooms with sheets over them and sand the ceilings. I intend to hook the hose up to a 30 liter heavy duty vacuum cleaner for even less dust in the air.
Great, thanks for letting me know. Interested to find out how you go with your vacuum set-up. Personally, I was quite happy with the built in vacuum. I've sanded way too many plastering jobs over the years, and I'm still amazed at this value for money tool👍👍
Mine arrived today but the instruction manual is very poorly written and the bag of parts threw me off a bit but good to know I set it up right. It is very heavy so not looking forward to doing my 10ft high ceilings but it will be much better than standing up on a ladder sanding by hand getting eyefulls of plaster dust. Little bit disappointed there's no lock to keep the head in position. Thanks for the video
Oh my goodness: I wrote the same thing on Amazon. It is very poorly written. But I figured it out. The vacuum bag works well, but, if you sand at the higher levels, it is best to attach it to a shop vac.
@@kinaowens9235 @melfunction81 I didnt even read mine... Guess i might now... The time it takes to do the ceilings will makeup for the weight. I love mine.
I found the hose long enough to lay the bag on the floor. .Was nice as not to have to carry it Did you find a good speed and grit.? I used 120 and found it coul tear through the drywall paper if you werent careful.
I used 120 grit sandpaper also - yes, you need to be careful not to gouge out the plaster. I guess it comes with technique and some practice and feel. :)
I Hate Sanding Drywall On The ceiling SOOOOOO Much, That When I Built My Tiny House, I Put Wood Flooring Instead Of Dry Wall On My Ceiling. Turned Out Even Better Than Drywall. Job Looks Good.
Great video. Grabbed one based on your review. Everything works as you displayed however the head vibrates quite alot and I noticed that your unit doesn't. Makes it very difficult to sand a vault ceiling. Any ideas what might be wrong?
Hmm, can't tell you specifically, but my thoughts would lean towards maybe the angle you're holding it. Test it on a vertical wall, and if it is sanding fine with no abnormal vibrations, then I think its the way you might be holding it when doing the ceiling. I found that when I used it initially, I had to get used to how to hold it and how to start my ceiling "sanding rhythm".
Love it should have it long time ago I am a painter I used it today just finish a job it could take half day sanding in half an hour , the light is fantastic, the weight yes bit heavy but can get use to it still less tiring than sanding by hand
I just stumbled upon your video mate after finding myself in the exact same position. I lined and plastered my kitchen ceiling and as I also dreaded sanding it along with the dust spreading throughout the whole house. I found and bought the Vevor sander on AliExpress and was seeing how to use it. What grit sand paper did you use? Thanks for uploading, cheers.
I just use the 80 grit paper and that's good enough for me. So trial and error and you'll see what you're happy with, but 80 is a nice finish for when the paint goes on it. Good luck with your project 👍👍
Yes, just change the grit size of your sandpaper. Low grit number means it's more rough and takes away more material, high numbers is more fine sanding, less material is sanded away.
I bought this machine and I returned it second day. I’m kind of disappointed it doesn’t do a smooth job. It leaves circles traces on the drywall. Can anyone tell me why and how to get rid of those circles? This machine should smooth everything out but unfortunate it doesn’t. It makes the drywall worse and you have to send it by hand to get rid of the circles from the machine
Hmm, sorry to hear this happened to you. From my personal experience, I've used a lot of these kinds of sanders, and it always comes to how you control it with your hands. You have to "feel" the correct angle, "feel" the correct speed to move it, and "feel" the correct pressure to apply otherwise it will gouge out the plaster. Same principle applies with floor sanders - they also can damage timbers if not same principles applied. Basically, practice with these first until you "get it" in your hands, and then it goes easily. I know that might not be that helpful, but everything gets easier with feel and practice.
I wouldn’t use this to sand pop corn ceiling it would just tear up the paper regardless or grit. The best method to deal with pop corn is to get yourself a pump sprayer and fill it with warm water. Spray the entire ceiling down until it’s fully saturated and the popcorn becomes soft. Tape an 8-10 inch knife to your sanding pole and start scraping. Of course you have to send a sample of the ceiling in prior to make sure there is no asbestos and it’s safe to work with. Either way popcorn ceiling is a total pain and definitely takes a knowledgeable contractor to deal with it. UA-cam some Videos of what I just described and you will see what I’m talking about 🤙🏼

Where do I buy more sanding disks that fits the holes?
Just buy online somewhere... AliExpress, Amazon, EBay. 225mm size discs are very common.

What about that spring thing with two hooks on it? Doesn’t that hold the sander head at a certain angle? Pics in manual are so small
Is it making a mess, or does it all get in the dust bag? I mean at least 90%. ?
That bag works exceptionally well.... For me it captures like 95% which is why I love this thing!
@@jelreviews I just got mine and I must not be doing something right because there’s dust everywhere!
Got mine, used on one project it stopped working. Light comes on but motor won't
I bought mine today (perth)! Where do you get more 225mm sanding dics?
Heaps of places sell the 225mm discs. It's a very common size... I'd check online for best price. 👍
Is there a way to lower the sandpaper to get a low sanding
Yes, just change the grit size of your sandpaper. Low grit number means it's more rough and takes away more material, high numbers is more fine sanding, less material is sanded away.
Ottimo prodotto, bel video!
Do you think this could be attached to a Festool (or similar) vacuum?
The uild in vacuum so good I had just little dust

The vacuum capability was horrible. I hooked it up to my Festool dust collector. Enormously disappointed!

How well is the dust collection
Works extremely well!
How heavy is the machine when carrying.? What is the weight.?
13lbs
I could get 3 of this for the price of one festool
would this be able to sand the deck ?
Most likely it will do the job.
Do you still need n95 mask while sanding? 😮
It's always good to wear a mask when sanding, but this sander doesn't lose much dust.
You should have saved that dust and just added water so you can have more mud. 👍
Is this good for removing popcorn type ceiling finishes as well?
You can try, I think you might some extra sanding discs though. Not sure.

I doubt I will buy it without knowing. This would be my sole purpose intended for it. But thanks anyway.
