As Kai held a 6000 dollar camera with easily 5,000 dollars worth of accessories by the barrel of the 4,000 dollar cine zoom with nothing supporting the camera but the flimsy non-locking e-mount on the fs5, my life actually flashed before my eyes.
I love how cavalier he is with every piece of equipment he handles, he swings them around from all the wrong bits like he's daring gravity to go for it lol
These videos really need more footage shot by the actual product

Kai is super funny and this format is awesome. It's harder to shoot man on the street with an FS5+18-55mm because of the size tho huh?

I think Fujinon did an awesome job with this lens and making it exclusive in E mount. There are a ton of E mount cameras that can use this lens and also Sony is starting to dominate the video market :)

So many years have not seen Kai (Xie). Now his arsenal consists of:

90% of this video is just Kai walking around clueless in the city. The other 10% is some terrible shaky footage that does not show the lens to it's full potential in the slightest.
Im pretty sure CVPTV knew that.

I don't think you could have had the ergonomics of the camera setup more awkwardly. You should always have the cameras hand grip up beside the camera parallel to the barrel on the right. Then move the viewfinder forward and down. See news cameras to see what I mean. There are good reasons for it that way.
when is fuji going to make a cine lens for the XT2?

So it's a APS-C Cine lens, not full frame? The 18-55 sounds like a APS-C range zoom lens.

Well will you refcomand this also for photography ? for that price is still worth isnt it ? How it will behave on Sony 7R ? can you do thests of this lense on these camera bodies for us ?

The rig is fine, Kai is clueless, should have moved the viewfinder to the right place. Just sad, his reviews used to be funny, now it's more like a bad tribute act.

It’s not ideal due to the length but it could probably work with some effort!

C'mon Kai you can do definetely better than this, I hope that who was filming you was using your same setup because there are very few and poor shots filmed with the fs5 and the fuji! As a FS5 owner I was drolling to see some footage but again very small amount and very shaky also! I love you "Jeremy Clarckson" style but at least show more footage with that lens!!

The lens is a pro bit of kit for working pros so can't we have a professional and practical review? If there's only an hour with the product then maybe a couple mins montage of test shots would be more helpful that this lame video.
God forbid you wait another few weeks for more thorough reviews to come out when people have more than 30 mins available with it.

YinYangGang I watched the whole thing to find out about the product and I just thought it was a bit of a shit video. Sorry if I'm not a fan of your hero mate but maybe if he'd ever taken a decent picture or made a decent video or had some kind of actual professional or creative credibility I'd appreciate his presenting style more. Kai would be kinda funny reviewing dog toys though.
This is just awful, clueless Kai no idea what to do with the camera,.Just get someone we don't know who does know how to handle this setup. This is just pointless, it's reading the marketing folder in a 'funny' voice.
