yes, as a photographer, it would be great to see how using one rather than another affects a photo and I think a more practical understanding will attract more purchases too - sometimes it just seems so complicated that friends I have referred it too just say it's too difficult and too many options most of which photographers have never seen before. I realise that might be frustrating for an expert but many would-be buyers are not there, myself included. Great potential though and so powerful.

This is exactly what I was thinking, three years later. The learning curve is not steep, it is vertical and concrete examples would greatly improve the comprehension. Although I have to admit that latest videos (2022) do address that in many ways and some users come up with their own tutorials.

Even though I understand all the words, it's like listening to Martian for me... so complex the concepts he discusses. Brilliant guy no doubt; unfortunately I have a very hard time following along.

I would love to ask my friends who are native English speakers. Do you feel that your speech rate is too fast when watching a video, so that your thoughts cannot keep up with the rhythm of the video?

This videos are just too technical about the color spaces. I think most user want a more easy and practical approach and the use of real images to understand the differences of using one method or the other and not color gradients where you get absolutely lost.

In some later videos I referred to those spaces but it is difficult to observe them all at once in one video. May be in the future I will make something easier for understanding.

Thank you . Yes I see that in other videos you use more real photographs that makes it easier to understand what is happening as I think most creators work with real world scenes and not gradients. In any case the program is amazing and it is good to have tutorials like you are doing as the program is not that easy to grasp with so many options it has. It would be great if more easier tutorials will come along as many people specially those that are not native english speakers don't know how to even start. I see that 3DLut creator tutorials are still very few although the possibilities of the software are huge. Hope more and more will appear as more people start using it. Best regards

This is for scientists not for photographers.

Giastudia Giastudia Check the video with practical examples. It is easier than it seams) You can skip this theoretical part. You can use mobile without knowing how it works, right?

So knowing how your camera+sensor+profiles is also for scientist only? 🤔

I'm a professional colorist and a casual photographer, this is gold for me. If it doesn't work for you it's ok but you shouldn't be that blunt and generalize the lesson like that. I think that this helps a lot when you see the other tutorials in which he uses the tools. And also is really hard to find lessons about this, I'm really glad that someone did. Finally to the administrator of this channel: You are doing a great Job, Thank you!

    this is brilliant.
coming from the illustration background, I realize to a degree that color is a 3D structure, and the maximum saturation peaks at different luminance for different hues.
this matters to an illustrator because Photoshop display every hue equally proportioned inside their color picker box, but now we all understand that a fully saturated color does not always sit equally on the luminosity scale, prime blue is way darker than prime yellow as an example. you cannot get a darker hue to fully saturated if you make it brighter, on the opposite side is true for a brighter hue like yellow.
this is important for an illustrator because an illustrator first has to figure out the grey-scale value luminance structure, the image has to work black and white first before it is painted with color, so you can see, an illustrator needs to understand the 3D structure of color, so they understand one particular black and white value cannot turn into equally saturated hue, which means they need to pre-configure their black and white value structure if they have a particular color target.
if an illustrator wants a prime yellow in their scene, they need to make sure the black and white luminance is set at the position where yellow can become prime.
this is also important for photographer and cinematographer, particularly for a color grader, if they don't aware color is a 3D structure, they will not aware that most saturated view can only be achieved with a medium brightness scene, because the middle of a 3D color cube has the most volume, which stores most of the color thus can become most saturate, they need to color grade their scene in order for colors to show up base on the structure of the 3D color cube.

American corporate could never make such a piece of software. Adobe can never make such color grading tool.
