Yes, I think visual and physical recreation will be a big thing as people work more and more. Malls should also put huge emphasis on that. I've seen many Chinese malls and many of them did a great job. My favourite is probably the Binhai Cultural park in Bao'an District in Shenzhen. Western and basically all other developers could and should learn from that.

They are convenient and shields them from the elements, especially when winters and summers can get harsh... There's also everything from kids education, car showrooms, restaurants, movies, gaming centres, even sleeping or relaxation pods... This might be a cultural export to developing nations.
