8:51 this one never rly stood out to me (order of the phoenix apologist and proud!!!) but you talking abt the mundanity of it all is making me want to reread it 🥺 so comforting
Thanks for the comment! I have found it so interesting the love and dislike for both Order and Half-Blood. Most people seem to like one and not that other haha! The comfort is just so comforting though. A great one for the colder months :)
what you said about pacing about Deathly Hallows is sooo real, it's insane that after half of the book they have only one Horcrux. Can't wait for the full video! :)
Loved your review! This is my favourite book too. I think is because is finally revealed the true mission to accomplish with the horcruxes. That's when I understood why Chamber of Secrets had been my favourite until then too, I think I felt that diary and knowing Tom Riddle was just too important.
Thanks for the great comment :) I think you are so right, understanding Tom Riddle becomes an important plot point which links it back to Chamber. Defeating Voldemort is one thing but we have to know and understand Tom Riddle the man first! Brilliant thankyou!
i am so curious about the scene! please tell us what it is, if it doesn't appear in Deathly Hallows, i gotta know! I also agree so much about what you say about the color being drained from the HBP movie - people say it's because the series got darker, but even in the darker books there is lots of fun and levity in between, especially in HBP! so much fun teenage drama, that doesn't fit the movie's vibe at all.
Thanks for the comment :) I will for sure tell you the scene in the next ep! Oh I know, it is such a shame because the book (while it is dark) is still so vibrant and broken up with a lot of humour and fun!!
Hello! I’ve just discovered your channel and I’m looking forward to more book reviews from you! Harry Potter is my favorite series so I was wondering, how would you rank the Harry Potter books and why?
Hey thanks for commenting! I have loved re-reading the Harry Potter series, it has been a great nostalgic trip. In the final episode the Deathly Hallows, i am going to be ranking the books :)
@@ANovelReview Hahaha Thanks! Alright, I’ll check it out in the next video then! By the way, I’m really enjoying your channel, talking about books is almost as fun as reading them. I totally get what you mean when you say this book lets us “live” more of Hogwarts, and that’s something that got a bit lost in the later books. That’s what I’m most looking forward to in the series - having time to get to know the characters better, seeing the Quidditch drama, and having all the characters with their own personalities (somewhere along the way, they forgot to give Ginny a personality). About Dumbledore, I think his personality is interesting because he trusts people but doesn’t reveal secrets to anyone. Actually, a lot of the story’s problems seem to come from that flaw. One of my favorite parts is when Dumbledore’s brother (in the seventh book) talks to Harry, and he realizes that Dumbledore was just a human with a lot of issues, and that’s when he stops being this almost divine figure in the story. Great podcast, as always!
Thanks for listening :) I really appreciate it! Yes the books are so great for watching all the characters grow, its been quite nice to revisit them all again. I just finished the Deathly Hallows and I couldn't agree more, the humanisation of Dumbledore is refreshing and so valuable - the films really missed a lot of this great nuance the stories have!!
wym with "don't even know if dumbledore was in the last book", that book was all about dumbledore's army, the order of the phoenix (aka dumbledores order) etc and the rest of the books he makes a lot of appearances
Thanks for the comment! It is a 'tongue in cheek' comment about the fact that Dumbledore is largely absent from 'Order of the Phoenix' because he is avoiding Harry. Of course, there is a lot of references to him, (the Order itself and Dumbledor's Army), but this isnt Dumbledor himself getting solid screen time in the books!
UA-cam recommendations are working great
I am glad you are enjoying it :)
Yes they are

unfortunately ootp is book where a lot is happening and yet nothing really happens. it's the filler arc
It was my least favourite!

It makes for one hell of a ride for the last half of the book!!
My favorite book too but parts of the movie make me want to pull my hair out.
My favourite but the film was such a let down to what it could have been! One of the main reasons I am kind of excited for the new series!!
