I live in New Hampshire in the middle of this piece of paradise and never grow tired of playing tourist in my own region. The colors are starting to come out now and this prompted me to look for videos like yours. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it, especially when seeing familiar sights, and listening to your commentary.
Hi Thanks for your comment. I certainly enjoyed my visit. I live in Scotland and you can view some of our Fall Color here ua-cam.com/video/Xm2EvhcTcYE/v-deo.html No commentary this time but hopefully the scenes speak for themselves.
A Hackman: You lucky, lucky person you! I'm a native Californian living for the past 30+ years in the Netherlands (also beautiful), but I too never, EVER tire of the beauty of New England autumns. Enjoy 💕
Thank you for a totally charming tour of New England in the fall! It's loaded with human interest, good photography and witty narrative. Having viewed over 15 videos on fall foliage and tours of New England, I found this one the most enjoyable as you have made me feel like a native New England traveler again. Your video is a keeper.
Thank you so much for this video! It's been many years since I had the pleasure of visiting New England, but you've definitely filled an empty spot in my soul with your photography.
I'm in Corpus Christi and next week my wife and I are leaving for a road trip to Niagara Falls, then over to Vermont, NH, Maine, Mass, Rhode Island, Conn, pretty much every state we can hit up north. So ready to see something other than mesquite trees.
Thanks for the memories. I took more or less the same route in 1983. My 1 and only trip to your Bonnie Scotland was in 1976; I must travel there again, virus-permitting.
As you have realised I live in Scotland and you can view some of our Fall Colors here ua-cam.com/video/Xm2EvhcTcYE/v-deo.html Also do come again when Covid allows our Summer festivals. I am currently featuring a previous year's Tattoo ua-cam.com/video/rU0C8ywpBy0/v-deo.html
I was the 1000th 'Like'! Thanks for the video... I liked the audio track you chose particularly; much better than what videos usually play with their visuals.
Thanks for the video, K. I (from Thailand) always love autumn, especially that of New England. Your video makes me feel as if I was traveling to those places for real, feeling the heat of the sunlight, the cool air of autumn, the colors of fall foliage, the taste of pumpkin pie, etc. God bless you!
Thank you. I am glad that you have liked it and enjoy the season. I live in Scotland and you can view some of our Autumn colour here ua-cam.com/video/Xm2EvhcTcYE/v-deo.html
Thanks for more info. After COVID-19 is under control, my next trip will be to the U.K. to visit my English friend in a town 30 miles north of London. Plan to visit your country, too. Take care.
A delightful video. Your balance of “verbalizing” and silent scenery is perfect. You have a very nice commentary voice. Very beautifully done. Thank you for sharing .
Thank you for your kind words. I looked at your video which I am sure has been enjoyed by your family and friends. One small comment would be not to move the camera too quickly. Slow panning is fine but usually it better to let the subject do the moving not the camera. An alternative is to take a number of short sequences from different angles to cover what you want. Good luck with your 4K.
It was wonderfully kind of you to make this gem of a video from the perspective of an outsider from Scotland on this unique region of the US in fall season. You also helped shed light on our own battle history and you would be saying the same thing if one of us Americans made a video similar to yours on Scotland from our own perspective. Another thing you did that is remarkable is you brought to life some of the places and things in the realm of our own confines that many Americans here and elsewhere may not realize were rooted in the lives and works of other Americans in our 200-year history. You brought recognition also to towns that will also now be more recognized by visitors even closer to home who make their next trip out to Vermont next fall! The way you captured New England Fall was so clever I'm saving this video in my favorites playlist. I hope to one day reciprocate with a video of your beautiful countryside and with an authentic and careful attention to detail like you did here. Thank you for taking the time to make this and please realize you have a talent and should try to make videos like this with more and more places throughout the world. For something similar with colors and slightly different demographics, also consider a visit to Quebec and Maritime Canada which I visited in 2011 and fell in love with as well. :) also has Scottish highland roots that are well preserved on this side of the Atlantic.
I lived in New England years ago and though I have visited since then, never in the ‘fall’. Therefore this extremely well made video was a welcome walk down memory lane for me. There were always pumpkin people but I see the population has exploded! I was surprised that I didn’t see any carved pumpkins herein, as that is traditionally the way the residents try to keep the proliferation of pumpkin people in check! ;-) P.S. - A carved pumpkin is called a Jack-O’-Lantern. A traditional Halloween decoration.
Hi this video covers a week from the 6th October in North Conway to 13th October in Sturbridge. I had planned and booked my trip back in January and had to make a best guess as to what the weather might do. Color depends on what happens over the summer so timing will change from year to year. Good luck.
Hi Tom This part of my NE trip was from 6th to 13th October and I deliberately went from North to South as that is how the colors tend to go but the timing every year will be different depending on the weather so good luck. Bryce

Two answers. My whole trip to New England lasted 15 days but this video just covers 8 days. I first had a quick look at the Maine coast and after Sturbridge I headed down to Newport for a couple of days and ended in Boston for 3 days. I hope that that helps.
There is a beautiful new 228 page book titled "Vermont - An Outsider's Inside View" which is filled with amazing stories and around 200 full page photographs of the people and places that make Vermont one of the most unique and beautiful states. If you love Vermont or have always wanted to visit Vermont, you will love this handsome book. This is not your typical Vermont fall colors book. The book has won numerous national and international awards. You can order the book at: www.fineartspress.com

New England is where I was born and raised and where I will die.
Where did you stay in Sturbridge? What’s the name of the pond again?
Hi My hotel was The Sturbridge Host Hotel & Conference Centre and the large lake was called the Cedar Pond. Bryce
Did Mrs Doubtfire visit Vermont?
What were the dates of your trips?
Hi Tom This part of my NE trip was from 6th to 13th October and I deliberately went from North to South as that is how the colors tend to go but the timing every year will be different depending on the weather so good luck. Bryce

You sound so much like Jackie Stewart, I was expecting you to give a lecture on proper downshifting before the turn-in.
Thank you for sharing sir. How many days did the trip last?
Two answers. My whole trip to New England lasted 15 days but this video just covers 8 days. I first had a quick look at the Maine coast and after Sturbridge I headed down to Newport for a couple of days and ended in Boston for 3 days. I hope that that helps.

His voice and accent sound close to Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubtfire.
Zion narrows
Its AUTUMN. Not fall
And this all happened by accident. I do not have enough faith to be an atheist.
I do not waste my money going to a blue state where things cost more!
